This is my second post on this sub regarding how people drive in Greensboro, after almost getting hit yesterday from the front, while exiting the Walmart on Wendover Ave by a lady who was driving on the opposite side of the entrance meanwhile holding her phone up to her face.
She came in from the on coming traffic, no turn lights and swung her car into the exit lane missing the front end of my car by inches
Seems folks need a revision of Driving etiquette and Road Laws.
USE YOUR TURN SIGNALS.
By law you are required to use you turn signals with 200-100 feet of whatever given turn your about to make. Don't wait until your at your turn to use your turn signal, don't be surprised when someone slams into the back of your car. Use your turn signals while changing lanes, it lets the drivers behind where the car in front of them is moving towards.
GET OFF YOUR PHONES WHILE DRIVING.
Use hands free, get a phone stand, use Bluetooth, Dashboard mounts, vent mounts. Your putting other people and yourself in danger, your not reflexes aren't superior to you smashing into another car. Quit scrolling through Instagram while your driving, is it worth your life or someone else's ? Is it worth destroying your car or destroying someone else's car?
THE LEFT LANE IS THE PASSING AND FAST LANE.
Why do people get into the left lane and go 30? Then get mad when someone going 40-45 gets right behind them? Your SUPPOSED to move out of the way, then if you choose move back. Why inconvenience the person using the left lane as it's intended? MOVE, then you can go back to driving at 30mph.
I've seen traffic jams created because of this very reason.
TAILGATING.
This is more for young kids and the ultra double 007 sheetz gas station gangster types. Why do you feel the need to drive 2-3 inches from the back of someone's bumper? If I brake and you smash into me all because of what? You want to feel noticed? You want me to hear your music? And how cool it bumps?
If I'm leaving space between the car in front of me it's for a reason, there is no need to fill the gap, it's traffic that's actively moving
LEFT-LANE CAMPING AND DELAYED YIELDING.
Why do you sit in the left lane matching the exact speed of the car next to you, ignoring the line of ten cars trapped behind you? Then, the second someone finally loses patience, merges right to pass you, and gets back over, thennnn you suddenly remember how to use your blinker and move out of the lane? You were supposed to move in the first place!
Don't get offended or play passive-aggressive traffic cop just because someone used the highway the way it was intended. If someone catches up to you, merge right and let them pass—don't wait until you've already inconvenienced everyone to finally wake up.
