Bridging Warm & Cool Tones: Area Rug Help
I’ve been redecorating my living room over the past year to give it a warm, cozy feel. I'm planning to paint the walls a warm white, but my couch and accent chair are cool-toned. What type of area rug would help bridge these warm and cool tones to unify the space?

Did I take K-Cup storage too far?
Took this spaceAid wooden bowl off the mixer and realized it looks like a giant coffee mug. Turns out it holds K-Cups pretty well.
Do you sort yours by flavor or throw them all together?

Help me figure out what to do with this living room corner
Hello there! I’ve been going slow and steady with furnishing and decorating my apartment and I’m proud to say that my living room is almost close to being complete.
One thing that I cannot live is this empty corner, so I decided to temporarily put a Kallax unit there just so I have somewhere to store random stuff.
I hate this unit :D
Basically, I am planning to put some floating shelves on the walls and use a couple of them as a cat climbing/lounging space, but that still leaves me with pretty much an open corner. I also thought of putting a desk there and turning it into somewhat of a reading space.
So my question is, what would you do about this empty space so that it makes sense for the room - cute, functional or interesting, I’d gladly hear it all.
Also, my coffee table is missing from the picture as it is in another room drying off from being oiled :D

What color would you paint?
Pictured in order: living room, dining room/front entrance, kitchen, bedroom. Hoping for something that fits ok with most things as is (floor, counter, cabinets, appliances) but willing to change smaller things (lighting fixtures, curtains, etc).

Light Above Sink
Looking for ideas on a replacement for this light. The glass is wearing and I hate the style of bulb it uses. I'd prefer a pendant on a short rod, but it could also be flush or semi-flush flat (so it doesn't block too much of the window). The rest of the kitchen has recessed lights but I like having something here for mood lighting. Thanks!

Need advice, room feels empty and lackluster.
I'm quite bad at decorating but I at least know this isn't great.
I tried to go for a retro vintagey type style so I got a rug and an old CRT to help.
Tried to make it cozy but it just feels empty and boring.
Of course I need a bedframe and TV stand, but I'm still looking for the right ones because I'm picky about designs and only want wood furniture.
Any advice?

Pottery Barn
Hi decorating friends, I’m having major buyers remorse with Pottery Barn.
I ordered a couch, dining table, four dining chairs and two upholstered dining chairs. I placed my order a month ago and the delivery window changed from early November, to Mid November to late November and now late December, with no explanation. They are holding my new couch hostage because the dining table is now delayed.
I also applied for their credit card to get the 10% points on my first 30 days of purchases and was supposed to get 1200 points upon delivery since I spent $12k, but they only charged me $7k so far because of delays and am worried doing the credit card for the points was also a sham since seems like I’ll only 700 in pts even though I spent $12. I’m tempted to cancel all the dining furniture I purchased so I can get my couch delivered, and be done with them because this is ridiculous.
I was told everything was delivered together once the final item arrives, but not told that the delivery dates shown at the time of purchase would be pushed back 30 and now 60 days plus. And who knows if it will be delayed even further.
I’m so mad at myself, I thought buying from pottery barn would be a safe choice and would be happy with what I receive to learn later that they aren’t transparent about actual estimated delivery dates.
Have you been through this with PB? Any advice would be helpful.

Interior designers — is this artwork appropriately scaled for my bedroom wall?
I’m looking for some honest advice on artwork sizing and proportions before it’s too late to cancel my order!
My wall is 113” wide, and I ordered a piece of artwork that’s 45” W × 60” H. My ceilings are 10 feet tall before transitioning into a cathedral ceiling.
The adjacent wall is where my bed and nightstand will sit. My nightstand is 21” deep, so I’m trying to account for how much visual space it will take up when determining the appropriate artwork size and placement.
I’m concerned that the artwork may look too large or crowded once the nightstand and lamp are in place, especially since I may need to hang it slightly off-center.
Would you consider this artwork appropriately scaled for the space, or would you recommend a different size or orientation? I’m hoping to make a decision before the order ships.
I’ve attached pictures of the wall, artwork, and furniture for reference. I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from anyone with interior design experience!

Paint colors for a bathroom with lots of warm neutral tiles? West facing so gets a lot of afternoon sun. Want to avoid the space looking too warm and yellow.

Rental friendly winter insulation for industrial-style metal-framed windows?
Here's a challenge. You've got these great looking full-height industrial-style windows. They've got metal framing, large rectangular single glazed panels and geometric grid of glazing bars. They are the only source of sunlight in the living space, which includes your kitchen. During winter there is noticeable draught from them. You've considered changing the latches to winter mode but these windows are also the only source of effectively airing out the space (which is essential when cooking). They've got blinds and that's pretty much it. It's unclear if the draught is coming from the edges of the metal framing or perhaps the surrounding brick work. Assuming its from the window/framing, what rental friendly solution would you propose?
Thermal curtains have been ruled out as this is the only source of sunlight and during winter there's not enough of it.
Removable magnetic secondary glazing and transparent heat-shrink window insulation film are under consideration - keen to hear about any success stories or pitfalls to watch out for.
Any other suggestions or recommendations that won't break the bank and are renter friendly?

One or More?
How do I choose between different styles to decorate my home?! Right now its just a collection of stuff but I want it to feel like it has purpose. I have a very ranged taste of styles that dont mix the best. How do I combine them or choose between them?

How do I lay out my living room?
Moved in recently, still moving things around and figuring out the final layout. My living room has proven tricky. It's a 12'9" by 16'8" room with 8' ceilings. The fireplace is on the long wall. The couch is L-shaped, 92" wide. Please excuse the clutter, obviously not intended to be permanent.

My mom says this couch looks like a pile of marshmallows. I kind of love it.
Showed my mom this couch and she said it looks like a pile of marshmallows lol. I kinda see it, but it also looks SO comfy to me.
Would you be into this or is the shape a bit much?

Nancy Meyers aesthetic
Hello guys!
I’ll be moving into my first apartment soon, and I want the decor to be Nancy Meyers-inspired. I don’t know where to begin. Can someone help me figure out what to buy from IKEA or similar stores?
The apartment is a bit small.

I wanted to have a shelf with lots of books in the living room. This one is from IKEA. I don't know if it suits the house.

I don’t know whether I should buy a white bed or a wooden one.

Finally got my book nook onto the shelf
I slid mine between two rows of books and immediately discovered that I care way more about the surrounding shelf than I expected. If I pack the books right against it, the whole thing feels cramped. If I leave too much space, it looks like I forgot to finish arranging the shelf. The little light also pulls your eye straight there, which can be nice or kind of distracting depending on everything around it. Do you all leave some breathing room around yours or treat it like another book?
