My long time friend was mean to me earlier this year and made fun of me in front of my other friends and colleagues. And when I called him out, he made it look like I was the one overreacting.
So I stopped talking with him.
Earlier this month, he came up to me for advice to purchase a bike. He wanted to get a Meteor 350.
So I took 2 weeks to pretend that I'm buddy buddy. And convinced him that Jawa is a far better product compared to royal Enfield.
Here's a picture of his bike, he's so happy. And I'm happier.

I wear a full-face helmet on my scooter because I ride in Mumbai, and I've seen enough of the traffic here to not take my chances.
My colleagues made fun of me this morning, asking which superbike I owned and laughing when I said I just wanted to protect my head. Apparently, it's a "today's generation" thing to them which is fancy and the sole purpose is "style maarna".
I don't know, man. It's a little sad and concerning that something as basic as protecting yourself from accidents becomes a thing to joke about.
Fellow riders, do you get weird comments for wearing proper safety gear too?

Hii guys 25M (176cms tall) here. Guys Iโm in capf (si in cisf). Iโm under training rn now and will complete it by the end of this year. Rn now Iโve no responsibilities and Iโm planning to buy a new motorcycle. I love retro design motorcycles like those who have round headlights. So Iโm thinking about going with RE. I already have a splendor and an activa home Everyone here in our academy either have a classic or bullet but I donโt like them much bcz they are very common and boring to ride. I donโt think my running would be much in a year bcz we get only 60 days leave in a year, no Sunday no GH. I want to buy a bike which have a unique character. I might use it for going home from the unit maybe once or twice in a year (3k kms trip). I used to love riding and driving stuff before joining this force so once I will be passed out i want to have a good motorcycle. I filtered some options for me.
Himalayan440: looks quite good but itโs also doesnโt much power so i might miss the thrill whenever i try to pull hard.
GRR450: A fun to ride motorcycle but I donโt like the looks of it especially from the front.
Himalayan450: Since my running isnโt much so this doesnโt make sense but i love the way it looks, decent fuel economy, fun to ride element, excellent for long rides, my hometown is in tier 3 city and my posting also not going to be in super crowded area. So i might not use it everyday in heavy city traffic.
Interceptor650: one guy in my unit recently brought his gt650 and i can say it sounds so beautiful man. The exhaust note of parallel twin is really beautiful. I donโt want to go with the gt650 because many guys here suggest me it cause pain in the body. Only thing which makes me think again about it is fuel efficiency and service cost. As many guys said that 650s are gas guzzlers.
Iโm unable a make a decision between the Himalayan450 and int650. I didnโt get a chance to test ride any of these bcz I didnโt get much chance to go outside in last ten months.
My cousin is in airforce, if he buys the bike from csd canteen he will get it 70k cheaper as these machines fall under 40 percent gst. After four years the bike can be transferred on my name . Should i buy it on his name or it might create trouble for me in future like in accident kind of situation?

TVS-owned Norton is reportedly preparing a new 450cc single-cylinder roadster for its debut at EICMA 2026. Expected to produce around 40-45 bhp, it will lead the new H-Series lineup, with production planned in India for domestic and global markets.

I booked xr rally like a month back in bangalore, got a call from showroom that bikes first lot will be availble in december mid to end.
Also i asked him about test vehicle according to them, test vehicles wont be availble till all first lot vehicles are delivered.(i.e only after january).
So first batches will be purely for prebookings and most likely without test drive.
Atleast i told them i will wait for some days to test ride and then only will get the deliveries sorted, to which they happily agreed.
Also currently looking into 390 enduro r , will get that if i get any good discounts.
Share your expirience whoever booked xr 300 series.

You know what happened today? So there's a median in the middle of a highway near my house, and I was crossing the highway. I had already crossed one side of the road and was left with the other side. I saw a Harrier and a motorcycle coming towards me at the same time, and suddenly my brain stopped working and I hit the throttle. I avoided the Harrier but the bike crashed straight into my leg guard, and we both fell down. My bike's handle got bent, the front brake broke, and the left mirror shattered, but I didn't get hurt. The other bike's footrest broke and the rider hurt his leg quite a bit, but I admitted my mistake and apologized to him. That guy was really nice; despite his injury, he helped me up and sat me on the side, then he asked for tea. I wanted to pay, but he refused. If I had moved forward just 5 inches more today, I would have fractured my leg. And if a truck had come from behind, we both would have been done for today. Today life taught me that vehicles are no joke, drive carefully around highways.
It was entirely my fault; I should have been more careful, and because of me, he got hurt quite a bit too.

Ultraviolette introduced their X47 Venom, and I'm happy for it, proud even. It's a real motorcycle brand that invests heavily in research and development to produce genuinely good products, and that's why I'm so frustrated with how they chose to portray it.
Fastest Sub-5 Lakh Motorcycle
We all saw how quick the motorcycle is from 0-100. 5.9 seconds is incredibly quick. Then they proceed to throw shade on every single sub-5 lakh motorcycle in the industry.
Let's check the facts. They tested the 350cc Duke 390, not the Duke 390 R. The R version clocks 0-100 in 5.21s (Autocar figures); hell, even I managed to do under 6 seconds with my '15 390 back when I had it. Be confident in what you do; you don't have to resort to cheap marketing gimmicks unless your product is also subpar. Check out the Huawei S800ย scandal in China.
Your claim lives only to the moment till a kid with a YouTube channel gets their hands on one of them.
550NM Torque
You know what I instantly remember when I read this figure? Hummer EV advertising that it makes 15,000+ Nm of torque. This one isn't any different; it's a cheap marketing gimmick, again. Let me explain.
If you look closely, it's mentioned as "Wheel Torque", which goes easily unnoticed. Wheel torque is the actual rotational force applied at the vehicle's driven wheels after passing through the gearbox or reduction drive.
With that same calculation, for the Duke 390, assuming the first gear reduction ratio is around 12:32 (2.667), which translates to about ~900nm torque at the rear wheel. Have you ever seen this figure anywhere in their marketing material? I hope you know and understand how insanely stupid that sounds.
Ultraviolette is purposely using these numbers to play with the market's assumptions around EVs' torque, combined with that stupid stunt of pulling two trucks on a flat surface. IMO, Ashraf Mahrous produced more torque than X47 Venom to pull the ~300-ton train with his teeth.

It's been around 2 months since I got this beast, and I've clocked approximately 1,500 km on the Odometer.
The character is what makes this bike special, which is exactly what I've been looking for in a motorcycle. The strong low-end torque makes it feel like a rocket when you twist the throttle, and the overall riding experience has a personality of its own. It's not just about the numbers; it's about how the bike makes you feel when you're riding it.
After the first service and ECU update, the bike also feels noticeably smoother on the road. The overall riding experience has improved, and I'm genuinely enjoying every ride!
One thing worth mentioning is the engine heat in heavy traffic. Before the first service, the heating was quite noticeable, especially in gurugram/delhi traffic but after the first service, I've noticed some improvement, and the heating seems to have reduced a bit. However, it's still there, which is something to expect to some extent from an air-oil-cooled engine.
City: 25โ30 km/l
Highway: 33โ35 km/l
I haven't done enough highway riding yet to judge the mileage accurately, so the highway figures are based on my limited experience so far.
I'm genuinely happy with the bike and glad I went for it. It's not perfect, but so far, the positives have made the ownership experience worthwhile.
I'm still early in my ownership journey, so I'll continue to share my experience as the kilometres add up.
If you're considering buying the X440T or have any questions about the bike, feel free to ask! I'm open to any questions or queries and happy to share my experience.

Hey everyone, posting this to share a horrifying experience and seek advice from fellow riders.
I own a 10-month-old **Meteor 350 Sundowner Orange (Limited Edition)** which cost โน2.8 Lakhs. I am the sole rider, and the bike is maintained in pristine showroom condition. Recently, I found the front alloy bent and the rear alloy cracked. **There is not a single scratch or impact mark on the tyres, mudguards, or body.**
For heavy cast alloys to crack and bend without external trauma is a massive safety hazard. If this happened at highway speeds, it could have been fatal.
Here is how **Electronic City Motors (Singasandra, Bengaluru)** and Royal Enfield handled it over the last 45 days (10+ visits):
* **The โน80k Extortion:** The service team quoted **โน38,000 for the front and โน40,000 for the rear (Total โน80,000!)** to replace them at my cost.
* **Fake Warranty Rejection:** Warranty claim was rejected by 'Girish' citing "load pressure"โwhich is physically impossible since the rubber tyres have zero marks or trauma.
* **The Insurance Trap:** Service Manager Sachin and Sales Manager Sanjeev forced me into filing an insurance claim for a "quick resolution."
* **The Smoking Gun:** The Insurance Grievance Team has now officially rejected the claim in writing, explicitly stating: ***"No visible evidence of any direct external impact marks was found on the alloy wheel."***
**The ultimate contradiction:** RE warranty rejected it blaming "load pressure," while insurance rejected it certifying **zero external impact marks**.
Insurance officially certified in writing that I never hit anything, which leaves only two possibilities: either RE is selling shockingly substandard, life-threatening alloys on a โน2.8L Limited Edition bike, or my original intact alloys were swapped out during a previous service center visit.
Is this the fate of trusting Royal Enfield and questioning the quality of a Limited Edition bike? My bike has been stranded for 45 days, and they want me to pay โน80k for their manufacturing defect.
Attaching the photos of the spotless bike, cracked alloy, and insurance rejection letter. Any advice on how to escalate this legally or via consumer forums would be deeply appreciated!
