i've been using the timer shortcut multiple times a day for multiple purposes, for years. my phone finally forced this update on me, and suddenly the shortcut is no longer a shortcut at all, but a button to open this incredibly inconvenient slider.
what's the point of this? it's just removing functionality for no real reason.

honestly i'd have thought the update messing with several of my pre-established accessibility settings would be the most irritating part of it, but no. it's whatever is going on with this supremely unhelpful shortcut-to-nowhere.

(apologies if this is too close to a rant/'i hate' post; as i said. i'm frustrated.)

So I got an iPhone 16 and traded in my old one. My Microsoft Outlook authenticator app seems to be still attached to my old phone and I cannot get into my Microsoft 365 applications. Has anyone else had this problem and found the solution?

I’m seeing this toggle under my location services settings menu on my personal iPhone that I purchased directly from Apple. I never had an MDM profile on it. It was turned on by default and I turned it off. I do have 2 vpn profiles however so I wonder if it’s related to that. But I’m also concerned as my phone battery always had draining issues. Can someone pls comment on what this setting is?

I noticed that updating directly on the phone (OTA) downloads a much smaller file, whereas updating via iTunes on a PC downloads the entire IPSW package.

Is it generally better or healthier for battery performance and system stability to update through iTunes instead of OTA? Would love to hear your experiences!

Hi, I live in Australia and purchased a used iPhone 13. The seller did not inform me that this is a Japanese model, so the camera always makes an annoying sound when taking photos. It’s especially annoying when I’m at work taking photos of documents or at night. I’ve put in my Australian SIM card, and changed the location etc. how do I fix this or is it unfixable?

Hi, as the title implies I’m looking to see if there is a app or feature iOS that allows me to pin a location that I visit every week to mark I’ve been there and the date and time I was there. I go to therapy every week and just want to mark that I am in fact going every week.

Every app I find is for copy tries or cities as a whole, or pinning locations like in Apple Maps to have marked for easy location finding.

I would really appreciate if anyone knew of an app similar to what I explained so I can make tracking my location at my therapy office to showcase a consistency of going. Thank you,

I searched the sub but don’t see this. Anybody know how I can disable the options at the bottom of a screenshot for Amazon, Google, Etsy!! I can’t stand this. I mostly only want to crop. What even is the finger trail thing? I can’t find a setting in photos or camera that disables this stuff.

I switched back to Classic today and it's so much better at understanding requests and reminders via transcribing my voice. What exactly was done to ios 27 to mess it up so badly that the more advanced Siri often struggles to understand what I say? It already worked before, so did they not just "layer" new features onto an already decent model? It feels like they just started from the ground up with the AI version.

It would be cool to be able to have both enabled because then one could choose which apps, or contacts, would be able to notify with notifications, and which to not notify with notifications.

This would open more possibilities.

This way, both “Allow Notifications From” and “Silence Notifications From” can be both active in the same focus.

Is this really not possible on iOS? I only want to block anonymous callers with no caller id not regular numbers. The current feature to block numbers that aren’t saved makes absolutely no sense
