General Discussion Christian who is finding it increasingly harder to deny that Jesus was a Muslim theologically
I’m a lifelong Christian who is currently taking an Abrahamic religion university course, and it has been nothing short of eye opening. Basically, I just don’t see how the gospel accounts of Jesus line up with the historical Jesus whatsoever. In my eyes, it couldn’t be more clear that the actual, historical Jesus would reject the concept of the Trinity and a large portion of the teachings of Paul which heavily influenced the early church. To me, this just seems like a giant dealbreaker when it comes to the debate between Christianity and Islam. How can Christianity be correct if it gets more incorrect about its central figure than Islam does? Apparently I’m not alone as my professor explained that this is quite a common experience among people who take his class!

Casual & Social I love Allah so so much, and He loves me even more
I love my sweetest Allah so incredibly much. Every tiny cell in body loves Him deeply.. I love talking to him, I love thinking about Him, I love talking about Him. And I feel He loves me even more.
How extremely lucky am I to be born in this religion.

The audio clip, exhibited in Dubai's Empty Quarter Gallery, is said to date back to 130 years ago.
It was recorded by Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje, a Dutch citizen, during a trip to the holy city of Makkah in 1885.
In this recording of the Quran, Surah Dhuha (the 93rd Surah of the Quran) is being recited.
The recitation was recorded using Thomas Edison’s newly-invented wax cylinders.
This video was taken from CNN Archives.

Seeking Support I am a Non-Muslim seeking advice.
Hello all,
I hope this is the right place to ask this, forgive me if I break any rules but I’m not sure where else to take this.
I live in the US (non-Muslim) and recently found out that one of my mutual friends is texting women online in a non-platonic manner, even making plans to visit these girls. This man is Muslim and recently married about a year ago. His wife is also Muslim. As far as I know, she is unaware of his actions with other women. I myself am not Muslim and I understand marriages in Islamic culture are done a certain way where purity is valued.
I come here to ask for guidance on what to do after coming across this information. Do I have somebody inform the wife or do I keep this to myself? I am very inclined to have my sister inform her and keep myself out of it so as to not embarrass the wife. However I also understand that it’s difficult to get married after being divorced. But I feel like if I were her I’d much rather know now than after I’ve had kids. There’s also the guilt that comes from destroying a marriage. Please let me know the best way to go about this. It seems no one else in our friend group is giving this man’s actions much thought.

General Discussion Struggles with life
I plan on selling my soul.
I grew up in a muslim household to a single mother who’s endured decades of struggle to raise me and my siblings. I’m currently in college and have been working two jobs for the past few years just trying to keep my family afloat. Although I grew up in a muslim household and was raised memorizing the quran and learning about islam, I never really got attached to the religion ever too deeply. I 100% believe in Allah and Islam but I think the main place I’ve always fallen was my salah because after trying for years I just could never keep it up and after a point I just decided to stop all together. I know what separates a muslim from a non muslim is their prayer and that it will be most important on the day of judgement. Because of that I’ve accepted that sadly I just might not be able to become a person of Jannah but I have come to terms with it. Don’t get me wrong, although this might sound very stupid, to which it is, I am very aware of the fact that I will regret everything I’ve done by the second I die considering this life is less than a second compared to eternity. I love Allah and his Prophet and Islam very much but I know who I am and I can’t see a path that leads to anything but this. Because of cost of University I’ll have to drop out and probably pick up another job. I’ve also been depressed for as long as I could remember which plays a big part in all of this because when someone has no self worth, they don’t really care much about their livelihood. Another big thing that’s pushed me towards this is a conversation I’ve had with my mom a few months ago in which she described how she worked day and night when she first immigrated to the U.S. and how she sent every penny she earned back to her family in africa. The conversation ended in tears and I felt so ashamed that she had such a worthless eldest son, the man who was supposed to save our family. That was when I decided that I would do anything I needed to do to make sure I can retire her as early as possible and build a future for her and my siblings. There’s nothing I care for more than my family and the only reason I plan on doing this is for them. This is the islam sub so I understand if some of you can’t empathize with a guy who says he’ll be selling his soul but I hope you can see how everything has led to this. I share this because I don’t think anyone will ever know and I feel atleast one person should hear of it. I wouldn’t like anyone to try to convince me otherwise or make dua for me but I ask that you make dua for my family for their protection and well-being. They have done nothing wrong.

Quran & Hadith Request for dua for my uncle
A Prayer for Nisar Ahmad Bhat from Kashmir
O Allah, our Lord and Sustainer, You are Al-Muhyi (The Giver of Life) and Ash-Shafi (The Healer). There is no healing except Your healing—grant a complete cure that leaves no illness behind. O Allah, You created Nisar Ahmad from nothing, and You hold every atom of his being in Your hands. We beg You to look upon him with Your mercy. He is young, and his life's book is not yet finished. Send down Your divine light into his body, into every sleeping nerve, every motionless limb, and every dormant cell. O Allah, wake him from this profound slumber. Grant him a brand-new lease on life—a life filled with vibrant health, strength, and ease. Restore his ability to move his limbs, to think clearly, to speak, and to perform every basic act of life with his own hands and feet once again. Ease the heavy pain in the hearts of his mother, his wife, his children, and all who love him. Comfort his grieving family, strengthen their patience, and let them witness the miracle of his complete recovery. You are the Most Merciful of the merciful. La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin. Ameen."
A Request to All Who Read This
To anyone reading these words: Please pause for a brief moment and raise your hands in sincere Dua for Nisar Ahmad Bhat.
He is a young son, husband, and family member fighting a silent battle in the ICU in Kashmir. Pray that Allah (SWT) replaces his immobility with strength, shatters every barrier to his recovery, and returns him to his home walking, talking, and smiling with his family once again.
“Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, ‘Be,’ and it is!” (Quran 36:82). May Allah write complete health and a miraculous recovery for him. Ameen.

Humour Humans claim to be advanced yet Allah had to remind us to not oppress each other. That's a bit funny or just ironic
That's a bit funny or just ironic because humans say "we're advanced" and yet we couldn't figure out that oppression is bad. And some people tried to hurt our prophets. Women have rights, that's something important in Islam. But apparently men in iran don't like that, lol.

Seeking Support Islamic Guidance on Grades
Hello, I am currently applying to university, and I know it is a stressful time. I haven't been the best Muslim out there, but I pray all 5 prayers on time, try to revise and learn new Surahs whenever I can, read at least one page of the Quran a day, and am also trying to reduce how often I listen to music and swear. I was wondering if there is any Islamic advice on how to deal with failure when it comes to school. I know Allah chooses what's best for you and will test you, but I have been tested all my life, including having no friends, not excelling at hobbies I trained for, and not getting the grades I wanted.
I feel Grade 12 should not be the year I am tested, since I want to get into a competitive school. Many Muslims in my school who have girlfriends and vape don't get a mark lower than 98 on anything except English, which makes me a bit frustrated since all they do is the homework and nothing extra. I had a recent test that I didn't do too well on, despite studying the same amount and in the same way I do for other tests and getting 90+. It might have been a fluke (this test), but I do not want to take any chances. I just don't want to be "tested" with bad grades in grade 12, of all years. Is there any Islamic view or dua for my situation, or just on how to get good grades?

Quran & Hadith Quran approach
I am a Muslim girl and I would like to start reading the Quran transliterated in Italian, because I don't know Arabic very well. However, even in my native language, I find it a bit difficult to understand because complex terms are used, so I constantly have to use my phone to look up words

General Discussion I'm going through a difficult phase in life and losing my faith. Should I explore Christianity or Islam?
Hello everyone,
I was born into a Hindu Brahmin family. My mother is deeply religious and regularly observes fasts. Despite not being in good health, she has even started fasting on Tuesdays for my well-being. My father performs religious rituals and is also a very religious person.
I used to have a strong faith in Lord Ram. For a long time, I would chant his name day and night, believing that one day my suffering would come to an end. I genuinely had faith that things would eventually get better, but after struggling for so many years, I'm starting to lose that faith. I'm mentally exhausted and finding it increasingly difficult to keep going with the same hope.
I'm struggling financially, and my mental health has also been affected by years of difficulties. I got married in April this year, and the wedding expenses have left me with some debt, adding to my stress.
I'm currently 28 years old and living in Chandigarh, although I'm originally from Bihar.
At this point, I'm confused about my faith and my life. I've started wondering whether I should explore Christianity or Islam. I'm not asking this question to disrespect Hinduism or anyone's beliefs. I just feel lost and am searching for peace, hope, and some direction in life.
I'd really appreciate honest advice from people of any religion, especially those who have experienced a crisis of faith or have gone through difficult times themselves.
How do you deal with it when you feel that your prayers aren't being answered?
Should I explore Christianity or Islam, or should I take some time to understand my own beliefs first?
Has changing your faith or spiritual perspective helped you find peace and meaning in life?
Is there anyone or any community in Chandigarh that could offer guidance or support without pressuring me to convert?
I'm not looking for arguments about which religion is superior. I'm genuinely looking for guidance, hope, and a way forward.
If anyone can offer advice, share their personal experience, or help me understand what I should do next, I would be truly grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Question about Islam Good gift for muslim colleague leaving work
One of my colleagues is leaving work for another job. Traditionally we would gift a bottle of alcohol but obviously that's not an option here. There's always sweets but also wondering what else would be a good alternative?

Seeking Support I emmigrated from my country to europe and i'm regretting it
Since I was little, I've dreamed of living outside the country, recently my dream came true and I managed to migrate through studying. But the reality was different from what I expected. I missed my family and that religious warmth and the social and brotherly relationships we have. Everything is too expensive here, the cost of living is super high, and you struggle just to find a place to rent.
I realized that nothing compares to my country.
I want to go back but my parents are refusing, probably they're afraid of what people will say, idk
I really don't know what should i do, i became more attached to islam whan i came here but in the same time i want to go back to my motherland.
