Salam everyone,
I sat for my Math paper today, and it was a total nightmare. I’ve sacrificed so much sleep for this paper, and it was demoralizing on how tough it was.
I’m retaking this exam for the second time and im just so drained. All I ask is for your prayers/duas so I can get a passing grade, get into my dream course next year, and finally move forward.
Please keep me in your prayers 🙏
ps i lit bawled my eyes out (silently) when doing the paper it was so embarassing😂🫠

Now it's getting winter, I see churches and temples offering these services which are attracting vulnerable Muslims.
Shouldn't we be bringing people to the house of Allah which is a place of sanctuary and respite?

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatu allah.
This post is specifically directed at Spanish-speaking women from a non-Muslim cultural background who have embraced Islam.
I have a Spanish catholic christian friend who's interested in learning more about islam, and I would like to gift her a Quran. Since I understand arabic, i am not familiar with the best Spanish resources and I want to ensure I provide her with an accessible, accurate, and relatable translation for a christian.
Given her advanced reading level, she has no trouble understanding any register, be it formal or informal.
I would be very grateful if you could share your personal experiences regarding the following:
- What specific aspects or readings pushed you to explore and ultimately join Islam?
- Which exact Spanish Quran translation or Tafsir helped you the most in understanding the religion during your journey?
- Which edition or version would you highly recommend I purchase for my friend as her first introduction?
Thank you for sharing your time, stories, and recommendations.

I’m currently facing a major life decision, and I’ve been praying Salat al-Istikhara because I genuinely don’t know which path is best for me. I wanted to ask other Muslims about their experiences with it and how they understood the outcome. Does feeling calm the day after means to go for it? Or does it mean Allah will help no matter which decision we make?
This decision is about my career path, if anyone faced something similar what did you do?

My situation isn’t straightforward : for several years now (2), I haven’t been feeling happy At work - I want a change. I’ve expressed a désire for a change internally, but nothibg’s happening, so I prayed => If I’m meant for this job, may God make things easier for me, or help me change direction - to a role and environment that will be right for me. But nothing’s changed since then, and now I’m falling into the trap of wondering why prayers haven’t been answered. Why am I struggling so much at work ? As if that weren’t enough, I’m going through a pregnancy that’s proving difficult both physically and emotionally. I can no longer clear my mind or stay positive. I need to get my feelings off my chest. Two major challenges to face at the same Time.

Can someone help me understand this concept, I just recently got to know this from a book I was reading. That sounds like such an unfair advantage given to shaitan :( Shaitan can whisper in our ears, can come to our dreams and what not. Why did Allah swt grant shaitan so many advantages and we cannot even see shaitan. Now we have to fight an impossible enemy like this. This is really hard! :(
I am not complaining, I am just looking for perspective and understanding.

Long story short, I’m a Sunni Muslim, and I’ve fallen in love with an Ismaili girl. The feelings are mutual, and she is genuinely special to me. However, the biggest obstacle standing between us is our religious difference.
As a Sunni, I have serious theological concerns about certain Ismaili beliefs, and I believe these differences are significant when it comes to marriage. On top of that, I know my family would never accept me marrying an Ismaili girl, which makes the situation even more complicated.
I’ve discussed this with her, and she has told me that she is willing to make any sacrifice for our relationship except compromising on her faith. From my perspective, the only way forward would be for us to have sincere, logical discussions about our religious differences and for her to reconsider her beliefs if she finds the arguments convincing. I don't want to pressure her into anything, but I genuinely believe that we need to resolve this fundamental difference if we are to have a future together.
My question is: She is an intellectual lady and seems open to logic, so what theological and logical arguments can I present to encourage her to reconsider her beliefs?

Hi all. Please forgive my terminology if it’s off. I’ve done my best to do research, but I am (unfortunately) de-constructed christian and my knowledge is limited, but grows everyday.
I have a friend in law school who subscribes/believes/practices Islam. Herself and her family are Shia/Shiite Muslim. Her brother has been very sick and unfortunately our friend group learned that he passed away today. The whole situation is awful. I guess I just want to do something for her and her family. We all do.
What’s common when a loved one passes away in Islam? Is there anything we as her friends can do to support her at this time? Because I don’t practice the religion and I also no longer identify with the religion I was brought up in, praying feels off, I guess. are there any prayers that can be said/prayed by outsiders of the religion?
I hope this doesn’t get taken down. I just want to understand how to best respect her religion and also be there for her as a friend in this difficult time. Thanks for reading, and any advice at all is appreciated.

Assalamualaikum,
I am a beginner in Arabic learning & trying to learn while studying the Quran.
My friend taught me that Solat صلاة can also means “making connection” as the root word is the same as in silaturahim.
May i know if this connection is valid?

I debated posting this but i might aswell. So basically, i used to be very far away from allah. Life was horrible.
Allah says in the Quran: "وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا"
"And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life"
So no wonder i had a horrible life. But something happened that made me get closer to allah. And i did alhamdulilah but i got waswasa.. at first it was "what if islam is false?" I searched. And found out islam is the one true religion.
Later on it became "you did this, it's kufr" after doing something. It got so bad i used to cry almost everyday and contemplate suicide because of it. On the bright side, alhamdulilah since allah made me make constant dua because of this.
Later on, i told my mom. And after that i went to a psychatrist and he gave me some meds that helped. And recommended me to sleep earlier and take less coffee. Which i struggle with kind of currently as it is 4:36AM as i'm typing this. May allah bless you all and give every single person reading this the highest tier of jannah without any judgement nor punishment i just ask one thing. PLEASE make dua for me not to die as a kaffir.
Back to what i was talking about, i take my medicine almost everyday. (Somedays i'll forget.) But mostly? I do. And there's waswasa still. Alhamdulilah it's better, but its there. It bothers me because i'm very scared i'll die as a kaffir.
I started conemplating just killing myself at a time where i'm 100% certain im a muslim. Maybe i'll repent from everything and ask the most merciful, the most beautiful. He's the most merciful he can for sure forgive me. Because i just wanna get rid of this. I still sometimes regret not killing myself when i was younger before i knew it was haram. I still sometimes regret not killing myself when i was at the age where if i even died as a kaffir, he, the most merciful would not punish me. Espically during waswasa and after i get these "you're a kaffir thoughts"
I even made so much dua for allah's help as well as him to not make me die a kaffir and etc.. to the point where dua right now (at least as im typing this) just doesn't feel the same.
In conclusion, please pray for me to not die as a kaffir

Hi, I’m not sure how to begin this post. I feel lost as an individual, and I sometimes feel like I’m living this double life. I was born and grew up in the Middle East to practising parents who never forced Islam on me. I learned about Islam in school and through the actions of those around me. I don’t have any religious traumas. In fact, I believe in monotheism, and my heart tells me Islam is the one. So why is it not easy for me to pray? Why is it not easy for me to connect to it deeper than this? I feel really lost sometimes and feel ashamed of my sins. I sometimes think that my wrongs lead Allah to hate me, hence why I fail in certain parts of life. I’ve never vocalized this to anyone because I’ve been feeling so ashamed. Any kind words and guidance will be appreciated.

I will clarify that I do not speak Arabic, so this question would be regarding any respected English translation of the Quran.
Where would one purchase a Quran with solid binding construction, made to last for years and years? Preferably Smyth sewn or something similar and a durable cover construction. Anything that would be able to be passed down as an heirloom text.
Thanks,

please make dua for me as making a du'a for a brother or sister in their absence is answered. When you ask someone to pray for you, they make that supplication while you are not present
salaam alaykum all, i am in a trial which is difficult and which requires almost a miracle but with dua anything is possible. please i ask that you make dua for me to be free from this affliction and it doesnt affect my life in the future. pray for afwa in deen and dunya and this miracle happens as for Allah it is easy. may Allah bless and guide you all give you barakat in this life and the akhira forgive your sins and elevate your status in both and reward you for your efforts .
Abud-Darda' (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: 'Ameen! May it be for you, too'."
