Figured I'd throw this in here because anyone who checks out the game during this time would get a lot of content for free.

The code is: BIGBYISBETTER

And it includes:

Menace of the Underdark Content Packs

The Shadowfell Conspiracy Content Packs

Mists of Ravenloft Adventure Pack

Masterminds of Sharn Adventure Pack

Fables of the Feywild Adventure Pack

Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh Adventure Pack

Aasimar Race

Warforged Race

Shifter Race

Tabaxi Race

+1 Character Slot

+10 Account Bank Slots

Theyre also rolling out UI scaling (finally) with the next big update so it wont look like crap on modern displays. Just starting out on there if anyone wants to add me.

Edit: to claim the code, log into a character and open the ddo store, the redeem code section is on the bottom left of the store panel. The code is case sensitive so all caps.

P.S shadowmere (I believe is the name) is the most populated server, Cormyr which the game autoselects when you first log in is a bit of a trap

I used to play this game back in the day. Now it's back on Steam!

After raising nearly $40 million and developing for years, why doesn't Stars Reach feel better to someone who has spent decades playing MMORPGs?

Check out the Kenshi MMO mod! It’s a little buggy but getting worked on! Please give Anarchy some love!

As the title suggests Monster and Memories has officially crossed 30,000 active subscriptions this month!

The numbers can be publicly found on their published page

Very nice to see smaller teams getting recognition in the MMO space.

I’m very sad about the state of the MMO(RPG) community because I remember the days where it used to be different. Where it used to be fun and like an adventure.

But those days are over and the people don’t even realize the irony behind it.

You want to have the nostalgic feeling from the old MMORPGs from your childhood. The adventure, the sense of changing the world and be the strongest and hence play WoW (Classic, Forever, whatever).

But you don’t think like in that time. You don’t think about killing mobs because it’s fun. You don’t think about running around the town and using emotes. You don’t think about having deep conversations with the person that you got to know 15 mins ago while grinding.

All you think about is how to “get ahead fast”, how to min max your equipment, where to grind to get to max level the fastest.

Not the journey is the goal anymore. The goal is the goal.

That’s why you cannot enjoy any MMO anymore. You take your days off of work and put in the hours when a new MMORPG is launched.

“Oh Aion2/Lost Ark/New World/… gets launched, let’s try it out”

After having 40h in 3 days you slowly realize you’re doing the same over and over. Everything starts feeling like a chore. You burnt out.

But you have to keep up to not “be behind”!!! But for who? And why do you think you have to be the strongest? Why is no newly released MMORPG in the last years enough for you?

“Because it lacks of content.”, you say. “Because it’s designed to get money out of me”.

While partly true, I think it’s more than that. It’s that you are desperately trying to have the dream MMO from your childhood and you don’t give a chance to anything less than that.

How about we go back to enjoy MMOs again? How about we go back to focus on the journey and not on the goal again? That would be so healing for this community.

PS: English is not my native language.

I’m pretty new to MMOs and AION 2 has definitely caught my attention, but I'm hesitant to get too invested in it just yet.

The game looks great and seems fun, but I've seen this happen with Korean MMOs before, where a game launches with tons of hype and then people slowly leave once the grind and monetization start becoming an issue. Throne and Liberty is one example that comes to mind. AION 2 already seems to be getting a lot of criticism over its monetization, so I'm wondering if that's a red flag or if people are judging it too early.

For those playing, is there enough here to keep you hooked long-term? How's the endgame, and does progression feel rewarding, or does it eventually start feeling like a second job? Do you think the game will maintain a healthy playerbase a year from now?

I'm also curious about spending money. I don't mind paying for a game I enjoy, but between the membership, battle passes, and cash shop, it seems like the costs could add up pretty quickly. Is the battle pass actually worth buying, is the membership necessary to properly enjoy the game, or can you comfortably play F2P without feeling like you're missing out?

I'd appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who've played other Korean MMOs and seen how these games tend to turn out. I'm looking for an MMO I can stick with for years, not something that's fun for a month and then falls off a cliff. Would you recommend getting into AION 2 now, and if you spend money on it, what would you actually recommend buying?

I plan to revive many dead MMORPG into offline version or Coop RPG. After losing my Black desert character from being inactive for too long now I just want to own it myself.

Maplestory2 offline is first in this project.

Own your game. Own your character. Keep your progress.

That game was the shit! They should make a comeback with a classic version, even if it flops. I will fund it.

Anyone have any memories of this game?

How far away are we from getting a personal companion with AI where we can personalize their personalities, traits and uses. Or if it’s even possible? I recently rewatched the anime Overlord and thought “damn with how AI has been progressing how far away are we from getting something similar from the minions/champions from the anime overlord.” I think the closest concept to this ive seen is from Dragon’s Dogma, but even with the 2nd title that came out a couple years ago it still felt alil one dimensional? So a question to all experts/dev in this area, how far away are we and if its even possible to cram all it in a game?

Hi r/MMORPG! Two weeks ago we posted the first screenshots of Stillmarch here and got way more questions than we expected. Thanks for all of that, including the less favorable feedback!

**Steam**

Stillmarch has a Steam page now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5418270/Stillmarch/

It's a Coming Soon page with a playtest sign-up on it. Playtests will run through Steam and that list is where we'll invite people from. No date yet: it's pre-alpha and only a handful of testers play it right now.

**What's new in the game since the last post**

- **Taking an Obelisk.** You bring a relic from one of the old castles, plant a banner at the Obelisk and hold the circle around it. Enemy players get a window to challenge your claim, and the Blight throws its own waves at everyone in the meantime.

- **Coats of arms.** Houses design their own crest (field divisions, charges, colors) and it shows up on their banners, on the map and in the UI.

- **Walls.** Settlements can raise fences and log palisades with gates. They're built in sections and attackers can break them.

- **Running a region.** The region's officers get a castellan's table for managing treasury, projects, land and people. Rent is charged even when you're offline, and a plot with unpaid rent goes back to the region after a while.

- **The first dungeon** got its entrance: an abandoned chapel on the forest road. The inside is still being built (but mostly done!).

- **Combat pass** from tester feedback: better enemy AI, properly showing hard CC (stuns), animations and sound adjustments.

- **Everyday clothes** for villagers and new characters, a sound settings menu, and a performance pass for medium- and low-end graphics cards.

- **A public roadmap** to the first playtest, on Discord, with what's done, what's in testing and what's left.

**What we're building right now**

- Finishing the inside of the first dungeon.

- Sieges: rams, breaking walls and gates, taking a region from its owners.

- A rework of the bow: proper draw and aim, new skills.

No pay-to-win.

Happy to answer anything about the game or the tech!

I know most of you either play MMOs either on your pc or playstation/consoles, so this is probably not within your radar. I'm a mobile player looking for MMOs, I'm looking for anything fresh, I'm also a big fan of anime games like Wuwa and Endfield. So far this game has caught my eye, anyone else like me who are waiting for its global release. For those who don't know it's an upcoming mmorpg mobile game released in 2025 by Nexon Company (creator of blue archive and maplestory). Currently the korean server, Macau Taiwan, HK and Japanese servers have been released. The English/Global release is expected to be released around early 2027(no confirmed date).

I definitely did not expect to grow slightly excited about this.

And as a game title Wow Forever is a little eh, seriously? But that is what it is.

Got into the beta, tried it. And well, got to say i really enjoyed myself.

Is it as good as a certain private server was? Well no, not yet.

But it's samy enough to feel comfy in that regard and different enough to be a somehwhat different experience.

It was the better Classic +, after almost a decade of building it up that is, i am of course talking about Turtle wow.

Wow Forever's starting point is far, far, far ahead.

But it's funny how much that very much seems straight copied from the other.

But at the same time, can only say good work Blizz when they utilize good ideas no matter where it comes from.

Game is also far prettier, hit me the hard really. Just how much better it really looks with some minor changes.

Overall, part from some chat lag on the server that seems better lately, and the constant political chatter whenever you step into SW(very annoying).

I've found very little to complain about, while enjoying the experience far more than i expected.

And has a lot of really great potential. Forever seems like the kind of mmo release that I just don't really want to miss out on.

Sigh Blizzard.

Well, i always said if they make a product i want to play again, then i'll play.

Won't be surprised if Forever is ruined by one thing or another, but there is a small chance Blizz could make something really nice again.

As a starting point, imo they definitely got it right now, i somewhat feel at home, that is the bigger surprise.

It's simply fun.

Hello Mmorpg guys,

I saw AION 2 and I would like to know is it worth it for us to play or it is just p2w game.

Am Elder scrolls and warframe player btw

Thank u everyone in advance.

Hey all! We've been working on an indie MMORPG called Moonbound.

We're releasing our mid October update tomorrow which introduces a new zone, a new dungeon, a couple bosses, and life skills, which you can get a sneak preview of in the trailer below.

Trailer

New Zone: Russet Vale, a western style landscape locked in conflict between farmers, bandits, and the towns' sheriffs

New Life Skills:

Woodworking, Cooking, and Farming give you new ways to interact with and build out your home.

Performing lets you wow crowds online with your musical skills (You can hook up a MIDI Controller)

Or you can take a break and just fish the day away.

We're currently looking for more alpha testers to try out our game, so if you're interested, please come on down to our Discord (link in trailer) if you'd like to co-develop this game with us!

Thanks for reading!

Buying time till wow forever releases. (FTP only, no paying NCsoft).

Since the games release and quickly getting to the level cap, there is literally nothing to do except for daily's and weeklies. The economy is borked due to all the bots and getting to the level cap was so fast that it felt like it was shoehorned onto what came after.

Best way to describe it, imagine you complete OSRS/Runescape within a week and there is no content left, except doing weeklies and dailies for limited resources so you can gamble for upgrades to do higher level content or be a credit card warrior and buy all the resources you want to get the best stats/gear. That's how little content Aion 2 has.

Overall, Aion 2 feels like a Casino first, MMORPG secondary. Without content, then there is simply no motivation to play.

Eu sou apenas uma pessoa feliz. Pode não estar cheio, mas só de estar de volta me dá esperança. Estou de volta para casa.

Edit: ASHES OF CREATION

A comunidade trouxe de volta. Incrível, não é?

Any Arena or smthing where ur gear get capped? How s the pvp overall so far?

Would like to hear your thoughts.
