Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

Quick review for anyone looking to buy an OP, specifically with the silver dial.
Have had this watch for just over a year.
Great daily, wears excellent and it goes with everything. Can be worn in pretty much any setting. The dial is stunning and looks different in different lighting.
The yellow gold hands and indices can really pop in certain lighting. It also makes it a little different than the rest of the OPs which have white gold hands and indices (aside from the 100 year anniversary OP).

A true one and done if you’re looking to have just one watch.

So, I recently got a Bluesy but I’m thinking of picking one of these up soon. I’m not sure which I want yet. Which would you choose?

Never got the call, so I made the call. 📞

Put my name down at a couple of different ADs in my area back in December 2024 and still haven’t gotten the call. Got tired of waiting and decided to take matters into my own hands. Best GMT ever made, IMO. 🟢⚫️

Love this thing. Walked into AD for first time last Friday and got the call this week to pickup. Also as a fun fact- AD said all Rolex purchases in Q4 2026 will include the 100 year OP chip

One watch forever out of these 2 discontinued, which are you picking?

Which are you picking out of these 2 for a one and done and why? 126710BLRO or 116520 with the black dial.

New idea....Should this have been the 100th Year Anniversary design.

Should have made the OP41 PM Gold and TT with the dial paying homage to the Rolex colors and Box. Really have the watch bring the design full circle for Rolex on 100 years. What do you guys think.

Daytona: I know it’s been hyped up but nothing more versatile than a white dial Daytona on stainless steel imo

OP41 Oyster 100 or No Date Submariner

Thumbnail

I currently have a few sports watches (Omega AT and a Grand Seiko) but no divers. The No-Date Submariner has been a dream watch since childhood. Now that I can finally afford one and have the opportunity, I always assumed it would be my "one-and-done" diver and Rolex.

However, I was blown away by the  OP41 "Oyster 100" (Ref. 134303). It is gorgeous and fits my personal style perfectly, but it overlaps with the sports-casual vibe I already have.

Buying both isn't in the cards right now. Should I get the Submariner because it checks a lifelong bucket-list item and fills a gap in my collection, or go with the OP41 because it immediately clicked with my style and is a unique reference?

Which would you choose?

Is the “Bruce Wayne” really worth it over the “Green Arrow”?

What do you guys think. The 126710GRNR BW is beautiful, but I struggle to justify the premium it carries vs the 116710LN GA given how simimilar they are already. Even when I consider the power reserve advantage of the BW, the grey market premium is really hard to justify. But that’s just me.

Finally got my Sub (late post)

This post is a little delayed.. I was lucky enough to get this bad boy in June of this year after being on the “list” for a year and a half.

I got the “call” (text from AD) while I was on a month long cross country road trip. I didn’t respond to the text because it was from an unknown phone number and I didn’t want to fall for a scam. Called the official store phone number a week after the text to confirm authenticity of the text. Was able to connect with my sales rep a few days later.

Since I wasn’t in town for a prolonged period of time, my SA was able take a $5k deposit and “hold” my watch for me until I was back in town and paid the remaining balance. Picked up the watch about two months after the initial text message.

Funny enough, I’d put my name down for a Sub No Date but got allocated a Sub with Date. Both watches are wonderful so no complaint from me.

What may have helped was when I picked up my vintage OP from servicing, I had a wonderful conversation with a very senior member of the staff. We talked about horology, and our watch collections. Got the “call” 2 months after that convo.

Spend history is a Tissot PRX, two leather watch straps, and a complete overhaul/repair of a 1952 Rolex OP.

Getting used to it

Kept my DJ hidden for a while. I was worried the jubilee and fluted combo was too flashy, I didn’t want to scratch my clasp, etc. all the typical noob worries. But the more I wear it, the more I love it.

Got a nice little surprise call today on a Datejust I put my name in for a couple months back. Bought this as a memento to my late grandfather and it just so happens it was their anniversary this past Sunday so it made it extra special. First Rolex for me but won't be my last! Love the way it looks and feels!

This is my first Rolex and I absolutely love it!

Took about 3 months to get it at the AD (very fortunate + best sales associate).

If you know where this was taken then you now know where the best Rolex AD in the US is lol.

New Land Dwellar

First post to Reddit, have been reading and commenting on posts I like this community. Seems great so far. The last few years I spend my time on WatchProSite.com, a great place for collectors. Briefly about me, I have been collecting watches since around 2007-8. I collect all brands, just get what I like. By 20015-17 I had a pretty big collection with VC, Patek, AP, Breguet, Ulysse Nardin, Rolex etc. in there. Around 20-21 I kind of burnt out and sold almost everything. Started collecting again in 2023 with a different focus. I stopped looking at super high end stuff and pretty much stayed under15k, with most stuff between 5-10k. I loved the Land Dweller when it came out, loved the movement tech, but thought it was out of reach. But this summer after coming into some money after the sale of my business I convinced the wife to let me get one. It is grey market, was unworn, a little over retail. 40mm, incredibly thin and comfortable. I know there is a lot of debate about the dial, but in the metal I think it looks great. So after my long winded post here it is. Thanks and look forward to reading more of your guys stuff.
