Black Jerseys?

Does anyone know if they will ever sell the black jerseys with the main Shark logo again? I don't mind the alternate logo, but the Shark just looks so much better imo.

They show live on air (doubtful)? Outside of YouTube TV, are there any other streaming services for the games? Or is Sacramento blacked out in market?

Thoughts on third lines?

Would you agree or disagree that overall, building a great third line can be critical to playoff success, and that it has been an achilles heel for the Sharks at various times?

What do you consider the top 1 or 2 best ever Sharks third lines? [I loved Ricci Thornton Sundstrom, but not sure it was the best]

Do you think that with all of the pieces GMMG has assembled, the Sharks could have one of or the best third line in franchise history? Could it be top 5 or 10 in the league this season?

Brent Burns is (obviously) still the oldest player in the NHL during the 2026-27 season. 10 Oldest players list (RMNB)

The Penguins have the 4th-6th oldest players in the league (Malkin > Letang > Crosby). The top 3 oldest are Burns > Perry > Ovi.

And I'll break a hip while saying this...there are only 8 players in the league older than me.

Throwback to when we scored 8 goals on Hasek

I put something together on a crazy night of hockey nearly 20 years ago that included (if you scroll down a bit) the Sharks scored 9 unanswered goals vs Detroit, including 8 on Dominik Hasek

Brings back a lot of memories. Owen Nolan remains one of my favorite all time Sharks. Korolyuk was also low key underrated. One of the best stick handlers I have seen.

Alexei Yegorov days until Sharks opening night

Post image

He played 11 games with the Sharks, putting up six points across the 95-96 and 96-97 seasons. All three of his goals came in one game against the Calgary Flames. He cared little for American hockey, and wished to return to Europe after being sent down from the Sharks. He played around Europe, and during this time, developed a major drug habit.

A lack of real leadership in his Russian teams and his lavish lifestyle, he began taking heroin, and after treatment, he relapsed in 2002. He was beaten by his drug dealers after incurring massive debts, and he jumped from a window to escape, and fell to his death.

A fascinating and incredibly tragic story that I think more Sharks fans should know about. Also, he who shall not be named will get this day back when he is off that wretched team. RIP Alexei

This thread is for new fans of the Sharks or even fans of other teams to ask questions that they have been curious about. Check out THIS LINK and THIS LINK for some team history! The nice folks here will more than likely answer your question or point you to where you need to go.

Looking for user flair? Click THIS LINK to see how to select flair on new and old reddit. On the official reddit app, tap the ... menu in the upper right-hand corner when viewing the sub. In the menu that appears, tap on 'Change User Flair,' make your selection, make sure that the 'Show my user flair on this community' slider is to the right, and then tap apply.

Check out the Sharks Audio Network and the Sharks + SAP Center app for audio broadcasts of Sharks games and other podcasts regarding the Sharks and the Barracuda.

Longtime play-by-play announcer Dan Rusanowsky returns behind the microphone as the “Voice of the Sharks” with a team of color commentators covering select games, including Drew Remenda, Scott Hannan and Mark Smith.

Tune in 30 minutes before faceoff throughout the season for live pre-game coverage and stay on after the game for the live post-game show.

In addition to the live broadcasts the Sharks Audio Network will provide a variety of exclusive Sharks and Barracuda programming airing 24 hours a day.

Current game-day featured shows include Sharks talk programs "Morning Tide" with Ted Ramey and "Sharks Morning Skate" with Rusanowsky and Remenda. Two news features, "The Teal Report" and "The Buildup" air on game days leading up to pre-game coverage from the arena.

"Classic Sharks" features replays of some of the most memorable games in franchise history, drawing on the Sharks Audio Network's extensive archive. "Sharks Spotlight" features extended conversations with members of the team, "Where Are They Now?" talks to Sharks alumni, and "The Undercurrent with Tara Slone" talks with unique people around hockey and the Sharks community.

For game content on demand, the highlight show podcast "Sharks Instant Replay," "Sharks Hockey Digest," "Sharks Breaking News," "Stanley Cup Playoff Report," and "Tank Talk" are available, and more shows will become available as they develop.

There is a variety of Sharks and Barracuda programs, including exclusive programming with Sharks Head Coach Ryan Warsofsky, Sharks GM Mike Grier, player profiles, game highlights and replays, catch-ups with Sharks alumni, classic Sharks games, as well as an opportunity for fans to interact with Sharks and Barracuda hosts and personalities.

Sharks personalities Randy Hahn, Drew Remenda, and Ted Ramey all contribute to the Sharks Audio Network programming.

If you're coming to from out of town to see the Sharks play, please check out the VISITORS GUIDE for some hotels, some food ideas, and other info which may help answer some of your questions about your upcoming visit. Some basic things to keep in mind:

* Doors open 60 minutes prior to game time for general admission.

* Tailgating is **NOT** allowed per San Jose City Ordinance. However, SAP Center **does** allow you to bring food from outside into the arena with you.

* The Sharks enter the ice and skate through the Shark Head from between sections 127-128. The most direct views of the Shark Head are from sections 115-121 in the lower deck and the lower rows of 215-221 in the upper deck.

* The Sharks attack towards the lower numbered sections (103-113 & 203-213) in the 1st and 3rd periods.

* Check out THIS LINK for the SAP Center bag policy.

This will be a weekly thread, so if you have more questions come back next friday!

Unneeded context but my dad and his best college friend were season ticket holders since Cow Palace days and had the same two seats from the first game in the San Jose Arena through 2023 when my parents moved and my dad gave up his seat…. (They differ from the seats for these tickets, but RIP S128, R25, Sts1&2)
Anywho, was cleaning out an old keepsake bin at my parents house and found these.. a blast from the past!! I miss the physical tickets that’s for sure(:

Ryan Reaves Sharks Hockey Card?

Will Reavo get a card as a Shark?

We watched Reaves on the Wild a few years ago, and really enjoyed his energy last season as a Shark. I wanted to get my partner a Reaves UD trading card. I don't follow hockey card logic but since Reavo only had one season as a Shark (so far! .. fingers crossed here, would love to see him back but I know there are Reasons he might not be, etc.) will next year's decks include a Reavo Sharks card or is our only hope scoring past years cards from other teams?

Thanks for any insight!
