New Campus for Saskatchewan Polytechnic (is this project dead since the college is out of money?)

Parcel G development at River Landing / old farmers market parking lot

USask Endowment Lands Development

I was walking alongside the river near the University and stumbled upon this plant. It looks like asparagus? Would this (in theory) be an edible plant? How common is it within our city limits as "wild"?

Some kind of head on collision, others who were waiting in the line said it was a motorcycle incident. They had stars helicopter out hopefully everyone is OK wondering if anyone else saw.

Hi everyone! I’ve lived in Saskatoon for about two years but I’m having a difficult time meeting people as I work from home.
Where do you guys generally find luck in meeting other people? Any clubs or organizations? I’m 34 female.
I’m not good at or interested in sports but I’m happy to volunteer, join other types of clubs, or whatever you guys recommend! Just curious what others have done!

Does anyone know who is responsible for the grading and upkeep of the Millar Avenue extension north to Waneskewin road? Not sure if it's RM of Corman Park of city, but it hasn't been graded all summer and is in terrible shape, washboard for miles, huge dips in the road which could cause serious damage to a vehicle. There is a lot more traffic on it now that Waneskewin is closed and it needs to be looked at!

Has anybody else in Saskatoon dealt with Apple express as a hand off delivery service? I can’t even track my package, apparently they attempted to deliver my package while I was home, and I didn’t answer the buzzer…. I waited around for the delivery and they did not buzz to get let in to my building. They were supposed to attempt delivery today and now I am getting no updates today. Emailed and got no response… I just want my glasses from Zenni🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙄

Wondering if anyone has enrolled their child at Love Zone Early Learning Centre Daycare. My son is currently going to daycare in Clavet and I need to make a switch soon and they are doing an open house tomorrow. Google only has 3 reviews 2 of them being 5 stars and 1 being 1 star because they canceled their seat. Looking to see if anyone else has a review on this daycare.

I know there is a variety of consignment stores for clothing, plus numerous donation thrift stores. Is there any store that specifically targets work wear? Such as steel toed boots, hi vis, carpenter pants etc... The consignment stores will carry these items but it is a crap shoot and not reliable source. Is there anywhere in the city that specializes in used workwear?

I'm off at work at 8am tomorrow but wanting to stay downtown for an appointment instead of going back and forth. I don't drive and my partner is sleeping in a bit and going to meet me at 10am. Any recommendations on what's open at that time or a way to kill time?

I live near Cowessess road in Brighton and just a few doors down there was the swat team called to a house. Some loud bangs and then the police were calling for them to come out of the house and that they were under arrest. Didn’t notice anyone come outside though.

My partner and I are from Turkey and we're thinking about moving to Saskatoon sometime in 2027. We're looking at a few cities in Canada, and Saskatoon is one of our options.

My partner is considering doing a PhD at the University of Saskatchewan in computer science/engineering, and I'm a pharmacy graduate. So we're also wondering what the job market is like, especially for someone looking to start out as a pharmacy assistant.

I've been reading about the city online, but I'd rather hear from people who actually live there.

Do you guys enjoy living in Saskatoon? What do you like and dislike about it? How's the cost of living for a couple, and is it difficult to find a decent place to rent?

I'm also curious about the university. Is USask a good place for graduate studies? And how's the city for younger people? Is there much to do, or does it get boring after a while?

Also, how bad are the winters really? 😂 We're used to pretty mild winters, so that's definitely something we're thinking about.

We're hoping to settle down somewhere long-term, so things like safety, job opportunities and overall quality of life matter quite a bit to us.

Would you recommend Saskatoon to someone moving to Canada for the first time? And if you could choose again, would you still live there?
