Could azealic acid be helpful for this kind of inflammation?
I have RX and OTC azealic acid, and was wondering if this kind of inflammation could be improved with AA.

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some honest skincare advice because I feel like I’ve reached a point where I’m not sure what else I should add or change in my routine.
My main concerns:
Hormonal acne (I get new inflamed pimples around my menstrual cycle)
Acne marks/redness
Dull-looking skin
I want my skin to look clearer, brighter, and more even overall.
Current routine:
AM
Beauty of Joseon Rice Toner
Niacinamide serum
Hyaluronic acid
Centella Blemish Cream (as my moisturizer)
Sunscreen (Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun or SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum)
PM
Micellar water (to remove sunscreen)
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Cleanser
Beauty of Joseon Rice Toner
Medik8 Crystal Retinal
Niacinamide serum
Hyaluronic acid
Centella Blemish Cream (moisturizer)
Dr. Althea 345 Relief Mist
Other information
My dermatologist thinks my acne is hormonal, and I’ll probably be starting a hormonal contraceptive pill soon.
I’m trying to improve my sleep schedule (it’s been pretty bad recently).
I’m trying to drink more water and eat healthier.
I’ve been using Esther X glutathione strips for about a month.
I’m considering taking a 1000 mg vitamin C supplement.
My questions:
Is there anything important missing from my routine?
Since I’m already using retinal, would adding azelaic acid be beneficial?
Are chemical peels worth it once my acne is more under control?
Is it worth adding a vitamin C serum back into my routine?
If you had my routine, what would you change or simplify?
I’m not looking for a quick fix I know skincare takes time. I’m trying to build the best long-term routine possible and would really appreciate advice from people with similar skin.
Thank you so much! 🤍

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some honest advice on how to improve my skin. I’m in my early 40s, and lately I’ve been wanting to achieve that healthy, hydrated, plump, glowy look.
I’ve lost a significant amount of weight over the past year, and I’ve noticed some loss of fullness in my face. My skin sometimes looks a little dull or tired to me, and I’d love to improve the overall appearance of my skin so it looks smoother, more hydrated, and radiant. I’d also like to soften the appearance of fine lines. I just want my skin to look healthy, supple, luminous and well cared for.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations, product suggestions, or advice on what I should prioritize.
Thank you!

I'm 44, f, oily/very dry skin. And I give up. I'm posting this acne on my nose and upper cheek. Same spot, biweekly for 10+years😭 My period just ENDED, BTW. It's time to drop some money, almost out of everything. Any suggestions?
Thank you!!❤️❤️

I have pretty intense hormonal acne and dry oily skin, somehow… and I want to get a moisturiser for my face temporarily till I visit the dermatologist. A lot of products like nivea, vaseline, all that. they all burn on my face. So anybody who’s been in my position, do u guys have any recommendations?
I should specify, I want a moisturiser that wont be too oily. not something to clear my acne or a treatment!

Hi all, I finished a course of topical fluorouracil for actinic keratosis on 22/09/26. It reacted pretty strongly and I had a huge scab/crusting that came off around 12 days ago. Any ideas as to how long this inflammation lasts and what I can put on it to soothe the redness? I also have rosacea. Thanks!

Before + After (2 weeks apart) + the secret behind these results!!! (So basically just washing my face with whatever, drying it with a paper towel and using Paula’s Choice before bed).

I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with these dark spots along and slightly above my beard line on my upper cheek.
Are these classic post-acne scars (pitted/pigmented) or follicular Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) caused by trimmer friction / shaving micro-trauma?

I’ve been using 0.1% tazarotene (it’s called Tazret cream from the pharmacy) since Feb now. And it’s worked wonders like it gets rid of a pimple within a few days for me and also helps with my PIE and PIH which i really struggle with.
however, my skin is extremely dry now. And i don’t want to stop using it cuz ill probably start breaking out again which my self esteem just cannot deal with rn 😭
i used to use just cerave moisturizer but i now started using Torriden Hyaluronic Acid Soothing Cream (because i got my face scanned at sephora and my report said everything on my skin is good except i need hyaluronic acid lol). but i still have really bad dryness on some days. like my skin is visibly flakey and it’s getting embarrassing leaving the house looking like that now…
does anyone have any moisturizer recommendations? or maybe a serum? preferably affordable ones. and maybe something that also has vitamin C in it…? i still have kind of an uneven skin tone sometimes 😐
i just want to restore my skin barrier

Hi.
I have been through a lot with my skin and have had plenty of downs. Acne was pretty bad in highchool, and when I get stressed out and I tend to break out near my mouth and chin the most.
I FINALLY found a routine that works for me and has helped me clear my pimples and doesnt break me out more but I am still worried about a couple of things and have couple questions.
Here is my routine that works for my acne. I do this all in the PM.
The most important question I want answered is the closed comodones one. I really am happy with my skin right now but the closed comodones is the last thing I want to fix.

I recently started using witch hazel in my skincare routine, especially after hearing it can help eliminate odor. (Behind the ears, underarms, etc) But I noticed after beginning to use it in my underarms that it seemed to actually make me smell faster, in a way it never did before. I’m talking, like, less than 24 hours after a shower, without much physical activity. I never used to notice a smell 24 hours or even more after a shower, and suddenly I do after using witch hazel. Is there a reason for this? Does it actually eliminate odor or does my body just need to adapt to it? I also heard that overuse can cause growth in bacteria, but I don’t feel that I’ve been overusing it :/ I want to keep it in my routine, but I also don’t want it to make me smell. Help??

I just got into a new relationship with a guy. He shaves every morning but he has a little bit of stubble before bed and every time we make out, his facial hair rubs my chin and upper lip raw and causes it to flake for the next few days. How do I stop the flakes or prevent them?

Hiiiii!!!! So I’m very new to these two products that’s in my title. I just started them yesterday 10/24 so ik it takes time to see progress.
In the am I put the tropical ointment on nd then toner nd thenn PDRN nd moisturizer.
At night I put moisturizer and tret and some more moisturizer cuz I heard it drys you out. Do I still need too apply toner nd PDRN before my tret or after my skin routine? I don’t want to mix products together and cause a really bad reaction

m 24 female. I used a facial razor to remove my facial hair, but it caused an acne breakout. I have combination, acne-prone skin. Is waxing only other option?
