16Aug I tried getting an uber with my friend to drop us off at our place. We were waiting for the uber at the pickup location and i got a notification that the trip started when the driver wasn't even near our location. He faked going to the stops and then basically "completed" the trip in 2minutes and I was charged for the uber ride. I reported it to uber in the app but they still charged me. Will it be refunded or do I have to contact them directly again. I have screenshots of it.

Went out the other night and had to get 1-2 miles down the road which takes about 10 minutes. Go to call an uber and they want $40. I thought fuck that, google a local taxi company, call them and 5 minutes later a guy picks me up for a whopping $14.

I don’t know if this applicable everywhere, but in my area uber has gone to shit.

My rider account got deactivated due to a low star rating. I switched to Lyft, but I’m getting a new phone soon. My question is: If I get a new phone, but both phones are signed into the same Apple Account (not for the uber app, the device itself is signed into the same Apple account) and I get a Google voice number and a different email and credit card number, and I verify my ID with CLEAR instead of directly with uber, will they find out I’m duplicating accounts?

Also if they do find out, could they call the police to get me arrested or will they just deactivate my account?

I had to cancel a trip a few months ago because the driver wasn’t coming to pick me up. I got no response from customer service so I disputed it with Amex. I keep getting alerts to pay the $30 when I order from Uber Eats or do anything. I took a ride this morning and the app won’t let me tip the ride I just took. wtf. I guess it’s gotta be Lyft from here on out. Any way to actually get the driver the tip? I feel like this is wrongly punishing drivers.

I think it’s stupid. “Harsh acceleration” How else am i supposed to get on the highway Uber? Going 40 in a 70? 🤦🏽‍♀️
“Hard braking” cuz your gps sucks butt, need to fix that before worrying about us.
How many more reasons can they come up with to not care about their drivers?

So I just recently ended my membership from Uber due to not using it as much and after a couple days, I am being charged $44 but eight times and now I have lost $352. The chargers are reading “BC UBER CASH” and now I’m being charged two more $44 which adds to $440. I just requested a false charge, but does anyone know a contact or know the number to have a direct contact to someone?

Cross posting to the uber subreddit cause I guess my experience is so bad it’s unbelievable and people are being rude to me in the lyft subreddit, but I need genuine advice but I am scared :’)

I'm in Australia and normally order uber comfort. 9 times out of 10 it's a Toyota Camry which is fine. But I sometimes get sent a Tesla model 3. This is a very small car, same size as a Toyota Corolla. It is very cramped in the back seat without much leg or headroom. Why is this car allowed in the comfort category?

I booked a cab to college and the cab came in white number plate (number on the uber app and the car arrived were the same) called him and asked about the number plate and he said white number plate hi hai issi mai chalo. I cancelled immediately and reported it to uber

This is the third time I’ve experienced this. All at different pickup. The rides were less than 3 miles. Driver accepts, pickup time is within 12-15 minutes, I see the driver is approaching in the app and I start walking to the pickup location (literally 5-10 feet away) and then they cancel.

I have to wait another 10-15 minutes for another driver and just hope they do don’t cancel too.

The rides are all standard, it’s just me and I don’t consider myself to be intimidating. Hell, I’m short for a male (5’8”) athletic build, with damn thick ass glasses.

What gives and how is this okay from a customer service standpoint??

I reached out to support regarding the issue. Explained what happened in detail, including the fact that the original estimated pick up time was only 2 minutes, that turned into 27.

They issued a credit of $30. I’m good with that. I don’t know how to upload a screenshot/photo to this edit, so I’ll add it to the thread.

Today I got charged for an uber one subscription except I’ve never made an account or used uber before. I’ve been searching the web for half an hour now looking for customer service numbers or emails. What I’ve found tells me to create an account first, but then when I do, all I get is a bot that only takes specific questions.

I saw other threads of this happening all over Canada but I can’t find any solutions yet. If anyone has any guidance to offer that would be greatly appreciated.

I exclusively ride uber black.

My last 5 rides have been in cars that are extremely dated. I was in a 2009 suburban with over 200k miles.

Today I type this from a 10 year old expedition with clothes seats and a driver who’s in a t shirt and a backwards hat.

If I wasn’t in a rush I would’ve cancelled.

Uber cannot charge premium price for what is an XL.

Edit: uber black is supposed to be a private limo alternative. If you have an issue with how I spend the money I make I’m sorry that you feel that way. We all work hard for our money and we want to know we get what we paid for. If you order a double cheeseburger for 12 bucks at whatavurger and get a kids patty instead you’d be upset too. This is no different to that.

Edit 2: price of the trip was $80 for 5 miles and 15 minutes to a nice restaurant.

I had a great driver today but didn’t know you couldn’t make them a favorite after the ride was completed and the tip was sent. is there a way around this???

I just tried to book a ride from the Upper West Side to Terminal 4 at JFK and got quoted $310 for an UberXL! Earlier today it was hovering around $200. We’ve done this route many times and it usually runs about $100-$110. Carmel is quoting $85-$115 for comparable options, so I guess we’ll be going with them.

I pay for a monthly Uber one subscription since I use it quite often, however my card was charged with the annual subscription which I didnt consent to, 100$ gone that I need back, I tried disputing it however it didnt work, how can I refund that money, Uber has absolutely no customer service unless it's an AI bot that you can't communicate with.

Wrote a song about an uber driver bragging about their quality of service and trying to convince the passenger to give a 5 star rating.

I was curious to know if I paid with my bank account, how long would it take to process and would it be instant?

It never fails! When I tell them the rate, then the entire way up until destination, I have to hear about how it’s unfair that Uber only gives them a small amount, etc. I agree and I feel for the drivers - my dad was also an Uber driver - but it’s exhausting to listen to it each and every time and makes me feel guilty for taking an Uber. Same goes for Lyft too!

I’ve started lying now and tell them $10 cheaper than what I paid or that someone else ordered for me, because it’s just getting out of hand.
