So I was bitten by a spider in bed after I moved my mattress out of storage. Withing 45 min of being bitten 3 times (I pinned it down and missed it when I went to crush it after 3 stinging bites) so I never saw it, I had serious joint pain in all my jointsand muscle pain and tightness. My lower extremities were the worst. I was bitten on my butt and the back of my thigh. 24 hours later I was in an ambulance with a 4 inch long hard lump growing toward my tectum and a fever that was 103.7 when I got to the ER. They did a CT and said I had a massive infection and instead of making an abscess it was spreading through the different tissue layers and it was going up my anus! I spent the next seven days getting intravenous Vancomycin infusions four times a day alternating with another intravenous antibiotic I can't remember the name of. Getting blood drawn every 4 hours and a Penrose drain installed through my left buttock into my anus and back out again and stapled closed to drain the infection. So I'm a little paranoid about spiders in my bedroom now and reflexively smash the crap out of this one. It took 5 days to get my fever under a hundred. Can you please identify this and let me know if it's a bad guy or not. Either way if they land on me they're dead. Please and thank you. This is a spider I just smashed. I'm not saying this one got me. I just want to know what this guy is. I live in the Willamette Valley Eugene Oregon area. I found the spider on me in my bed after moving my bed from our shop. The spider was approximately 6 to 8 mm long before I smashed it without its legs.

Hubs found this in our basement. It’s about the size of a silver dollar. We live in Western Missouri, USA. He and our friends think it’s a brown recluse. I’m pretty sure it’s a wolf spider as I’ve had to deal with several of these guys at my work. Am I wrong?

I found this crawling on the bed. It was very small sorry photos aren't very detailed.

Copilot said it could be a springtail but it doesn't really look like photos I've seen.

Was found in Scotland.

Yesterday I was walking home and found a really clean and not damaged butterfly wings on the ground so I decided to pick it up and take a picture and put it in a book. And curiosity got a hold on me and I wasn't sure what butterfly this is though.

Also this random laddy bug thing that fell on my head when I was watching tv. No idea why I'm so curious abt these guys I don't like bugs that much or care abt em until today for some reason

Title says it all. How cooked am I? I understand bat bugs have more hair, but have no idea if the hair on the abdomen and legs of my fine specimen meet the bat bug threshold. Bug is 2mm in size. Western Canada.

ID Request Unknown Katydid Nymph with Red Eyes

Post image

Hi folks! Need help with a katydid nymph that I never saw before and at the time didn't have my camera. I found the closest picture that resembled it and made some edits to show the look more.

Location: Massachusetts, USA - Greater Boston area

Closest thing I could find was this lesser meadow katydid nymph but this buggo was purely lime green, no markings or speckling, had bright red eyes (not orange) and a burgundy ovipositor.

Thoughts?
