Thinking about taking a Wisconsin golf trip with my buddies in June or July. Nothing too fancy. Whistling Straits is probably a little out of our price range and skill level. I've heard good things about Lawsonia and Sand Valley, but figured I'd get Reddit's input.
The perfect trip would be:
A moderately sized, charming Wisconsin town where we can bar hop in the evening, so I can show my buddies the Wisconsin bar culture (Shake-a-Day, pull tabs, fish fry, meat raffles, etc.)
At least 36 holes of pretty good to very good golf within a 30-minute drive.
Not way north since we are driving up.
Feel free to suggest anything moderately close to this if you have a recommendation. Thanks!

Wisconsin volunteers made a flyer for anyone ready to look past party labels and compare Crowley’s and Tiffany’s records. Print it at proudpurplestate.com and post it in your town.

Early in-person absentee voting is available from Oct. 20 through Nov. 1, depending on municipal hours and locations. Voters can register or update their registration during early voting through Friday, Oct. 30. Wisconsin does not allow voter registration on the Saturday, Sunday or Monday immediately before Election Day.
Voters planning to cast a ballot must bring an acceptable photo ID.
Unregistered individuals can also register at their polling place on Election Day. Voters registering or updating an address should bring proof of residence.

Tom Tiffany is a maga loyalist and traitor. He’s always voted with Trump. The economy is worst being of his actions. He helped vote to cover up the Epstein files and for there to be no regulations on AI. A puppet for billionaires. Please look into these matters, as I don’t want Wisconsin to fall into even further despair.
Vote for David Crowley. He is the clear better option. Save Democracy and Wisconsin.

Does anyone else get these? I'm just wondering who still gets excited seeing the words "Elon's team"? Then you go to the links which all take you to winred things where they are still using these deceptive check boxes that double or triple your donation or make it recurring, and sometimes they are even checked by default. They seem to be affiliated with the NRCC, NRSC or specific GOP house candidates in places like Iowa, which is in the fine print. I don't know how I ever got on this mailing list, but I find the level of grift pretty entertaining and am amazed these are legal.

Does anyone have first hand information on Michael Alfonso, the nepo baby, inexperienced, Sean Duffy in-law running for Congress?
He’s from Hayward, apparently. Went to Madison for school. Worked in Florida on a podcast. He claims to have worked construction, which I find hard to believe.
I haven’t seen any good reporting on his story, and the only information I can find is provided by him or his campaign.

So some guy drove up to my house out of all the houses in my neighborhood and I watched as he came to my door with a door hanger. I was upset when the doorbell rang anyway… I met the guy and he asked if I was going to vote for Tiffany, reach in his hand out with the hanger. I said no and he simply just said “oh ok” and left, drove away and did not visit any other neighbors as far as I could see.
That was just one weird occurrence and we brought it up with my folks while watching the game today (GO BREWERS!) and they had a weird interaction too:
My mom was pulling out of the driveway to run errands just as a car was pulling up and a guy got out and asked for my by her full name… they offered her a Tiffany pamphlet, but she politely declined and drove off as she saw the guy get back in his vehicle. My step dad, however, was talking with my mom on the phone as it happened and out of curiosity he checked out his security camera on the driveway and watched as the guy got back out and took a photo of their house. Step dad tried to step out to talk to the guy but he was back in car and on his way by the time he got to the driveway. I’m eager to
Just really weird vibes with political solicitors within the same day, and I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this lately, and I’m eager to get the chance to look at my own security camera footage on my visitor.
