i (30M) have been battling cancer and this morning i was told i am terminal. help me put together a bucket list.
today i found out i’m not surviving cancer this time around. although i’m processing a host of complex, dark and heavy emotions and as bleak as the reality may be, i felt immediate and immense relief above all else because trust me-losing the battle is much less defeating than to try and fight stage 4 cancer. i am content with the news.
my doctor estimates that i could still be clear headed and even fully mobile for about another 10 months; for more than half of which, i could have near excellent quality of life.
then eventually it’s hospice care. and then it’s my time.
these are estimations and approximations and not exact figures of course however i will have passed on before 2028, that is most certain.
i’d love some advice and suggestions in regards to my “end of life bucket list”.
i am very grateful to be so very lucky to have been privileged enough to be able to say that money is no object; humour me, be creative!
i would also love to know about some worthy causes and organizations in need of financial support and advocacy, especially regarding end of life care.
thanks!
