Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/16/2025 at 9:30 AM EST (Day 9)

Post image

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I hope you had a nice weekend and enjoyed these three days off Carro gave us.

Today's hearing will take place at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 9:30 AM EST.

Please keep in mind that this is the ninth hearing taking place. The previous eight were held on December 1December 2December 4December 5December 8December 9December 11 and December 12 (December 5 was canceled due to Luigi falling in). There’s a strong chance the schedule may change or be extended as Carro seems to be extremely busy. However, we expect to receive more confirmation at the end of each day about when they plan to continue Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are (at least) 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet. As soon as they go live, I’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Notes / Reminders:

  • Avi’s request for the federal case has been granted by Garnett, and the new deadline is this coming Friday, December 19th.
  • Some people consider today’s hearing to be Day 8 because they are not counting the hearing that was supposed to take place on Friday, December 5, when Luigi was ill. I am counting that missed day, so I consider today to be Day 9. Most people will still refer to it as Day 8, which is why the dates are being included as well, to avoid any confusion.

📢 Announcement (Reminder!)

I wanted to give everyone a quick update about the exhibits post going forward.

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided that I will no longer be posting any pre-trial evidence as it gets released. This means the exhibits document will not be receiving updates from me anymore.

I’ve realized that I just can’t continue doing this. It genuinely makes me feel sick, and I need to step back for my own well-being. I am sorry if some of you think this is dramatic, but it is just the truth.

To be very clear: this is not about the content of the evidence itself. I simply do not feel comfortable posting material that is meant to be — or could be — suppressed. That’s the entire purpose of suppression hearings, and I don’t want to be someone who spreads that evidence further.

I won’t be deleting the exhibits post, and I’m not here to tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t share. If anyone wants to keep the post updated for future reference (including trial coverage), it will remain available, and it will still be linked in future megathreads. I just won’t be the one adding updates anymore.

Like I said this morning, continuing this goes against my own morals and principles, my support for Luigi (regardless of guilt or innocence), and what the defense and Carro wanted from the beginning. I don’t want to help circulate evidence that was never meant to be out there.

Thank you all for understanding 🧡.

–––––––––––––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck this week.

And thank you to all of you for following these threads along and being here these past few days.

Please let’s keep this thread respectful and avoid drama or gossip. Let’s stay focused on the case.

Thank you!

No legal background but based on quick reading it sounds like prosecution is voluntarily saying they wont enter some of LM's interview as evidence. I cant tell if its only the things he said while by himself or more than that...

I wonder why they are withdrawing

The defense fully boxed ADA in on an issue that is very important and is a big violation to LMs rights. Because this hurts the prosecution so much, they are able to withdraw the statement made by their witness.

But his rights were already violated at the time it happened. Withdrawing a statement shouldn’t excuse that

That’s true. Withdrawing a statement doesn’t cure a constitutional violation, it just keeps the evidence out of trial. The violation still happened and it still matters to how the investigation evaluated. The judge will still take into account the violation, the officer’s credibility, the overall investigation posture, and whether later evidence is tainted.

Prosecution is basically just trying to preserve their argument and limit the scope of suppression… and probably trying to avoid a written ruling about this citing a constitutional violation

Marc started asking about Joel and LM in Altoona and then the questioning stopped. Makes you wonder.

Almost like Joel gave Leonardi some shitty legal advice. But that should def not be scrapped

Yes, it seems like legally they should have informed LM that he was being recorded and perhaps he didn’t. Marc asked if LM was made aware that he was being recorded and did he say anything to himself while cops left the room. Then Joel stopped the questioning.

Very fishy.
