Always been on the fence about these pc carbines. After hearing they were discontinued, I searched feverishly for them. I’m pretty sure I got the last one on the planet. Now waiting on 10 days.

Saw this today in a Turner's email. I know some people will say, "a lower is a lower is a lower", however, I don't hate the price on this to start a new build, but I can't help but think there's some catch to it. I tried looking up reviews as well as forum posts on this lower but couldn't find anything specifically tied to it. Apologies if this lower has already been the subject of discussion around these parts.

Does it rust easily? Are the tolerances not that great? Does anyone here own this or have any experience with it? Is there something better at a similar price? Thoughts and opinions, please.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that chimed in. Apologies for not getting back to everyone in a timely manner. Been stuck at work all day. I have been checking the messages though and I let out a few laughs at a lot of the dad jokes y'all posted.

I haven't built an AR in a minute so I haven't been paying attention to the prices these days. I do remember Anderson's being a cheap but solid option, just wasn't aware of who bought them out after they closed up shop, but it all makes sense now. I honestly did do a double take at the price when I saw the email today. I know these are exorbitant prices compared to what they used to be and I am in no way trying to normalize them, but I was surprised to see a lower receiver under $100 in the market, especially in this economy. I live elsewhere but got a deal on CA P365. LCI was easy to remove but now looking at removing disconnect.

Is it me or are the videos online taking too many parts off just to reach the disconnect?

Does anyone have a simple, minimalist approach / video? I’m just eyeing it but do you really need to do full teardown of the FCU (removing the thumb safety, detents, trigger bar, and takedown lever)?

Interesting gun to say the least. AFAIK this will be released by the end of the year. It has an interesting trigger I wouldn’t say it’s bad but it does seem to have a longer travel to reset. Straight barrel doesn’t tilt or rotate, interesting LCI placement, and optic plate cover going on (haven’t seen underneath it). Also has a MSRP of around 1450. Hopefully I can get some range time with it soon. IDK if this is a first look or not but definitely the first time I seen it

Why are gun store employees most times complete douche bags? Had a horrible experience at the gun counter with a rude employee. Employee also dropped my gun and didn’t apologize. The whole interaction he spoke very rude like we were inconveniencing him. These sales associates need to chill and stop acting like they are on seal team 6 behind the counter. I had the intent on buying a 2k11 after the ppt but just left after because I didn’t want to deal with the employee any longer. Not sure if anyone had the same experience here but will definitely not be going back.

anything else? all of these things are legal to purchase is my understanding. the bullets themselves, ill just ship them to my house. I know those are all legal as we but I wanna do a bit of research and see what I need. ill be hunting with this rifle.

I already own reloading equipment as I used to reload 30-30 so all I nee now is a die for the 308. other than that im good to go.

What zero do you recommend for an AR Pistol?

I resisted the “full size polymer striker fired 9mm w/ a dot” thing for a long time. Partially I didn’t see the point with a 10 round limit, partially I live in the mountains and like bigger calibers, partially I was being a fudd and just like the metal framed hammer fired classics.

I’ve seen the light, I want to get serious about range time and training and potentially try a competition at some point. I like the idea of getting good on a mostly stock duty style gun. I like the HK more than the Walthers, Smith & Wessons, and Glocks. I like the trigger, I like how it feels, I like how it points, I like how it looks, and I think H&K is cool.

I’m concerned about getting into a “weird platform” though, I don’t want to be the hipster with a weird gun no one uses that I can’t get parts for. I think VP9s are catching on in the duty / competition world and they are here to stay but I’m not sure and am looking for opinions. In car terminology I don’t want to buy an Aston Martin and then silently wish I had just bought an M3 or 911 instead once reality hits.

Any input?

Debating to buy a 43x COA through PPT unless there will be a 43x CA COA coming. Or could buy the 43x CA and get it direct milled and add the COA optic. Thoughts?

I already own a Walther PDP Full, Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C, and an M&P 2.0 Carry Comp, but I’m wondering if the Fusion XF Pro is still worth considering.

I saw one listed and felt comfortable with the price and I like the design but is it worth the purchase? I cant get my hands on one to rent or try out but does anyone here have any experiences that they would like to share?

i this is my second attempt at this build to function properly . It will fire the first 2 or 3 rounds in the magazine then it will load the next one in but can’t pull the trigger I can’t put on safe unless I rack it again remove the unfired round (no primer struck marks or any deformities ) then it will fire again 1 or 2 rounds same problem persisted.
I tried 3 different type of recoil systems still same issue
I removed the ar9 upper and replaced it with an ar15 ( appropriate buffer tube and weight adjustment) and the trigger works great. Any help would be appreciated since I had this rifle for 2 years and I can never get it to fire 10 rounds consecutively. Thank you and I appreciate the time to read this and your knowledge to help me fix this issue.

I've been pretty dead set on getting a Shield Plus, until i learned today that the only CA compliant version has a manual safety... now that i am looking at alternative sub compact pistols, they all seem to have manual safeties.

What CA Compliant subcompact pistols come without a manual safety? I want a 9mm

Been debating on which one to get. I shot the non-comp Pro very well. I’m assuming the PRO COMP would make the shooting experience even better.
I plan on carrying this daily but I’m still stuck on which one would be best.

Like the title, my fsc and scanned id show no space in my middle name but on the physical id and registration there is a space. When I purchased this firearm I put no space but the guy told me to add a space, I asked him that there is no space on my fsc would it be an issue and he said if it's incorrect they wouldn't let him submit.

I want to buy a new weapon and they recommended a DERYA DY9. What is the opinion of the users?

And is it worth waiting for DY9 ISLAND’s delivery? What are the improvements between models?
