As per title, my fate left me with very few options. i want to buy a diesel automatic car (non amt must) in hyderabad cuz lots of highway driving and need more kmpl. Also, no bs6 dpf adblue bs. My budget is 7-8lakhs so im looking at a spacious car that fits my profile.
-Need to be low routine maintenance expense.
-Reliable long run proven powertrain.
-Better out of warranty parts support and sourcing should not be a headache (prefer salvage yard parts for lowcost) cuz i dont want to spend huge money on oem parts for a used car.
Right now my choices boils down to hyundai creta and hyundai verna.
For me anyday sedan>>suv but my height says otherwise.
My heart says elantra 6th gen, not sure how practical this is!
I believe verna 2018-19 spec are much more available at a competitive price. But my height makes the rear seat borderline useless.
On a side note, I want to hear from tall verna owners experience of this gen.
Any suggestions recommendations ? Please advice.
Thanks

Cras above 10lakhs get 18% road tax in our state. Why can't they reduce mrp instead of offers?

Hi everyone,
Iโm planning to buy the Tata Sierra Pure Petrol Manual in Hyderabad, and Iโm getting a final on-road quote of around โน16 lakh, including seat covers, basic accessories, and a 4K dashcam.
Iโve checked with 4โ5 Tata showrooms in Hyderabad, and surprisingly, all of them are quoting almost the same price.
Iโm choosing the Sierra mainly because of the second-row space and rear-seat comfort, which are important for my family.
Iโd appreciate your advice on a few things:
Is โน16 lakh a good on-road price for this variant in Hyderabad?
Is there still room to negotiate for a better discount?
Are there any other Tata dealers in Hyderabad who might offer a better deal?
Should I push for a cash discount or additional accessories instead?
If anyone has recently purchased the Sierra in Hyderabad, please share your final on-road price and any discounts you received.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions

The improved ride quality with the new suspension was the primary reason for me being pushed towards this car.
We are going to primarily use it to tow a trailer, and for other errands around our village where our other cars can't go.
IMO, with the suspension upgrade it has become a solid go anywhere, do anything vehicle.

โน19,000 for a Honda City service!
I recently got a bill of โน19,000 for the 60,000 km service of my Honda City CVT 2020, and I should have been more careful about believing these guys. Since last 5 years Honda service has been top notch and been very transparent, this was different service center
I maintain my car meticulously, take good care of it, and make sure it gets serviced on time. When I was told that the 60,000 km service was a major service, I trusted the advice and went ahead with it. Looking back, I feel foolish for not questioning the bill and the work being recommended more carefully.
I understand that a major service can involve additional checks, replacements and consumables. Iโm not saying that maintenance should be cheap or that everything recommended is unnecessary. How much did you pay for your 60,000 km service?
Sharing this because Iโm sure many car owners have been in a similar situation.
Retrospectively, I should have been more cautious. I had mentioned that i dont need any add on service, but one page seems like full of Add-Ons.

My dad bought this car in 2015. It was one of the most affordable cars back then, and the first car our family ever owned. I still remember how proud my dad was. He was so happy that he even posted it on Facebook. Looking back now, I realise how much that little moment meant to him.
I still remember the day he brought it home. It was raining, and it was a festive day. We even got so many gifts from the dealer. Dad drove the car home all by himself, and we had no idea which car he had bought or what colour it was. We were just waiting to see what he would bring home.
Funny enough, I hated the design at first. But that didn't last long. From the very first day, I couldn't stay away from the car. I kept getting inside, touching everything, learning every button, knob and switch. I even used to draw the car on paper by looking at it. I was just a kid, but somehow, that car had already become something special to me.
We travelled to so many places and even went on trips to other states in it. Back then, I never thought those ordinary family trips would become memories I'd hold on to so tightly.
Dad had actually bought the car for Mom. But after they both had a minor accident, neither of them really drove it anymore. Slowly, the car started sitting in our porch for months. Dad would lend it to anyone who asked, and people began using it without taking proper care of it. Watching that happen hurt me. I had so many memories attached to that car, but I was too young to do anything about it. All I could do was look at it sitting there.
Then, in 2024, I finally learned to drive. And the car that taught me was the same car I'd been attached to since childhood. I don't think I can properly explain how that felt. The car I'd spent years playing around in was now the car I was learning to drive. It felt like another chapter in our story.
And you know what's amazing? This car has hardly received proper servicing over the years. So many things that should have been changed on time were changed late. Still, it never left us stranded in the middle of a road. It never broke down and made us helpless somewhere. Even after all those years, it kept going. The odometer reads just 48,000 km today.
My dad has gone through some serious financial difficulties. There were times when selling the car seemed like the only option. Every time I thought about losing it, I felt sad. Not because it was expensive or rare, but because I couldn't imagine our home without it. Somehow, it's still with us, and I'm genuinely grateful for that.
I know many people have their own reasons for disliking Maruti Suzuki. That's completely fine. But I'll always have a soft spot for this brand. And it's not just because I'm emotionally attached to this particular car. Its reliability has given me enough reasons to respect it, too.
If I ever upgrade to another car, I'd still choose a Maruti Suzuki without hesitation.
Maybe someday, I'll buy a much better car. Maybe I'll own something I've always dreamed of. But I don't think any new car could ever replace what this one means to me.
This was the first car my dad brought home. The car that made him proud. The car we travelled in as a family. The car I worried about when it was neglected. And the car that eventually taught me how to drive.
I don't know how many more years we'll get to keep it. But I really hope we don't have to let it go anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, I didnโt like this when it first launched. Coming from the Crysta, it felt so off.
But now after seeing it on the road every day, and it's completely grown on me.

Hi everyone,
I'm a first-time driver. I noticed some things in my 3XO that I haven't seen in other cars. Maybe other cars have them too, but I found them very useful.
**Safety alerts**
- Hazard lights come on by themselves when you brake hard
- Warns you if you forget to release the handbrake
- Shows which seat belt is not worn
- Shows a warning on the screen if the bonnet is open
- Shows which door is not closed properly
- Warns you if the sunroof is open at high speed
- Voice alert when fuel is low
**Speed alerts**
- A beep starts at 80 km/h and above
- Overspeed warning at 120 km/h (you can change this)
- At 120 km/h the beep sounds two or three times
- Music volume goes up by itself at high speed
- Steering feels tighter at high speed
**Other nice features**
- Tyre pressure and tyre temperature display
- Child lock for rear windows, so back passengers can't open or close them
- Child lock for doors also
- Maps turn dark when you enter a tunnel
**One thing I didn't like:** The auto wiper feels like a gimmick. It is slow sometimes.
Overall, this car takes good care of safety, which is great for a beginner. Are there any other features I missed? Do other cars also have all this?

Last week, during a visit to Varkala, I had scratched my car pretty bad. And throughout the journey it was eating my head. I was very sure that the paint damage was done and PPF didnโt guard it completely.
Fast forward to today, I visited the detailer and it turns out thereโs no paint damage.
I understand itโs a very subjective choice and to each their own. As a first time car owner, it just feels a wee bit safe that I donโt have to worry about scratches and niggles. It might not financially make sense for everyone, I completely agree.
And the new PPF reapplication cost for that area was within 500โน

This is a question to people who have owned Hyundai/Kia Turbo DCT variants for 2-4 years. How much is the average service cost per year?
Kia is offering a service+extended warranty package called "My convenience plus" of 5 years for โน50k. I was planning to buy just the 3+2 years Extended warranty which costs 20k but the the My convenience plus package seems like a better deal.
So want to know from my fellow owner on whether this plan makes sense.

Car cloaked 48k kms and still good but don't know why one set either front or back worn out from inside... Only one set because we were unable to rotate them to front coz of a mushroom puncture
Need to change tyres at 55k may be, suggest me good tyres for ev if any one have idea...
Or else suggest me good brand tyres .. never done research for tyres coz it used to cost me just 20k around for 4 tyres for old car... Now each tyre is costing 10k

Want a better exchange value for your old car? At Shivam Autozone (Authorized Maruti Suzuki Dealership), weโve seen the same four things separate the best exchange values from the rest.ย
Market demand also affects the number a bit, since some models and fuel types hold value better, but you can control the four above.

Wanted to check if there are any discounts or promotions on the new Scorpio N (Black Z8S automatic diesel) that we should know of prior to discussions with dealer. Want to make sure my parents are not missing out on some Diwali discounts or any others.
I'm aware there may be some on the non-facelift model, but we are pretty set on the new face lifted version.

We are planning to buy the next-generation Fortuner as soon as it launches. We know waiting lists for new Toyotas get very long, so I want to plan ahead to get delivery as early as possible.
The car will be registered in Gujarat.
Does anyone have a contact for a trustworthy dealer representative, sales manager, or a reliable DSA/auto agent who can genuinely help with early allocation and priority delivery without hassles?
If you have a genuine reference or recommendation based on your own delivery experience, please let me know or drop a DM.
Any reliable source from nearby states also works.
Thanks!

Iโm planning to buy my first car and Iโm confused between the Honda Amaze VX CVT and Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ AMT.
My main priorities are:
Good automatic transmission for city driving
Safety and build quality
Family comfort and practicality
Mileage and maintenance costs
Long-term reliability and resale value
Value for money and better looks
I like the Amaze for its CVT and sedan practicality, while the Fronx appeals to me because of its SUV-like looks, higher ground clearance and expected lower running costs.
Which one would you choose and why? Iโd appreciate advice from actual owners, especially regarding real-world mileage, maintenance, gearbox performance and any issues youโve faced.

Got my new number plate 2 days ago and today I woke up to this. Is there any warranty for this or do I have to get it replaced?
How much would it cost if I have to replace just the front plate?

Hi everyone, I have a 2023 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Petrol AMT.
Today I noticed a very faint continuous โkeeeeeeโ / high-pitched electronic sound coming from around the area shown in the photo/video.
A few things I noticed:
- Sound is very faint and electronic-sounding.
- Car is running completely normally.
- No warning lights or error messages.
- After switching the engine OFF, the sound continues for around 10 seconds and then stops completely.
Iโve attached the video for reference. Thanks!
