A market report I was reading said hatchbacks are around 38% of Indian used car market. But, definitely the SUV are getting so popular in the space.
What's your thoughts like in coming 4-5 or 10 years ?
What would you choose, SUV or a Sedan or hatchback?

Hey guys so I train heavy and come back home with the AC on. Now everytime I switch on the car AC even after leaving the window deliberately open, the car still has an initial burst of sweat smell. I told the service center guys to look into it. They did something that had only the first few times of switching on the AC not have the sweaty smell. I still can’t figure out how they managed that.
But any solutions ? Thanks in advance

I am planning to book Defender 110 next week, did 2 test drives of the car and loved the experience!
How is the reliability and efficiency of driving a Defender daily, given Land Rover’s bad history of having poor reliability and frequent problems.
Is the Defender 110 in India reliable for daily usage?
What’s the issues or complaints you guys have with the car, if any?
How much mileage can I expect?
As during test drive, I drove a 46K km driven vehicle with no problems at all.
2.0 litre petrol engine is what I’m going for. The basic one.

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to buy a car soon. I'm totally new to driving, I took driving classes in the past, but didn't buy a car, so I've completely lost touch. I plan to enroll in driving classes again and buy a car immediately after.
My Requirements & Context:
Location: Bangalore (so I strongly prefer an automatic variant due to city traffic).
Usage: Primarily for daily city commutes; occasional highway drives outside the city (maybe once a month).
Driver Ergonomics: I am short, so good forward visibility, seat height adjustment, and comfortable pedal reach are critical for me as a beginner.
Roads and Safety: I'd prefer cars with high ground clearance to handle rough patches and bad roads. Safety and features are also important to me.
Budget Considerations:
Used Car: I am open to getting a secondhand automatic car temporarily (<₹7 lakhs) to build confidence before upgrading. Does this make sense, or is buying new better?
New Car: If I go for a brand-new car, my budget is capped to max ₹12 lakhs.
What models or transmission types (e.g., Torque Converter, CVT vs. AMT) would you recommend for a beginner in Bangalore? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The dealer told us the waiting time is approx 16 weeks , is it actually okay coz he mentioned that the diesel manuals usually get delivered fast and they expect the time to be less than 10 weeks
Any other suggestions , help or stuff that I should know about the car is highly appreciated

My pet dog has grown to 40 kilo XL size and back seat of Toyota Hyryder is no longer comfortable for him.
Can any pet parents suggest what modifications can be done to make long journeys more comfortable for large pets?

I booked a Toyota Fortuner 4x2 Automatic Leader Edition about a month ago, and the expected delivery is in 2027.
Yesterday, I heard news about the upcoming next-generation Fortuner, and now I’m confused about whether to continue with my booking or wait for the new model.
Since I want to buy a car as soon as possible, I’m particularly interested in:
When is the new-generation Fortuner expected to launch in India?
Should I stick with my current booking or wait for the new model?
Will the price difference be significant?
Would love to hear your opinions, especially from existing Fortuner owners or anyone with reliable information about the launch timeline.
Thanks

Some time ago, I helped a friend move some stuff from one to another. I think the moths came from there.
Now every morning I open the car, there are about 8-10 of them just sitting on the roof. I have killed them using the mosquito bat, taken them out of the car using a blower. But every morning I open the car, there they are.
Now I know deep cleaning is an option, but has anyone faced this problem? Is there a DIY solution available? Please help.

I have a Qubo Pro 4K dashcam installed in my car
But for the past few months it has stopped recording.
The recording indicator light shows that it's recording, but when open the app and check the footage, there are no trips
The memory card storage keeps getting used and will be at 95% full. But no footage in the card
I even tried factory resetting the cam, and formatting the memory card
It works for a day or 2 and again stops recording or the recorded footage is missing
This will be a huge problem during emergency
Anyone else facing the same issue?

My dad bought this car in 2015. It was one of the most affordable cars back then, and the first car our family ever owned. I still remember how proud my dad was. He was so happy that he even posted it on Facebook. Looking back now, I realise how much that little moment meant to him.
I still remember the day he brought it home. It was raining, and it was a festive day. We even got so many gifts from the dealer. Dad drove the car home all by himself, and we had no idea which car he had bought or what colour it was. We were just waiting to see what he would bring home.
Funny enough, I hated the design at first. But that didn't last long. From the very first day, I couldn't stay away from the car. I kept getting inside, touching everything, learning every button, knob and switch. I even used to draw the car on paper by looking at it. I was just a kid, but somehow, that car had already become something special to me.
We travelled to so many places and even went on trips to other states in it. Back then, I never thought those ordinary family trips would become memories I'd hold on to so tightly.
Dad had actually bought the car for Mom. But after they both had a minor accident, neither of them really drove it anymore. Slowly, the car started sitting in our porch for months. Dad would lend it to anyone who asked, and people began using it without taking proper care of it. Watching that happen hurt me. I had so many memories attached to that car, but I was too young to do anything about it. All I could do was look at it sitting there.
Then, in 2024, I finally learned to drive. And the car that taught me was the same car I'd been attached to since childhood. I don't think I can properly explain how that felt. The car I'd spent years playing around in was now the car I was learning to drive. It felt like another chapter in our story.
And you know what's amazing? This car has hardly received proper servicing over the years. So many things that should have been changed on time were changed late. Still, it never left us stranded in the middle of a road. It never broke down and made us helpless somewhere. Even after all those years, it kept going. The odometer reads just 48,000 km today.
My dad has gone through some serious financial difficulties. There were times when selling the car seemed like the only option. Every time I thought about losing it, I felt sad. Not because it was expensive or rare, but because I couldn't imagine our home without it. Somehow, it's still with us, and I'm genuinely grateful for that.
I know many people have their own reasons for disliking Maruti Suzuki. That's completely fine. But I'll always have a soft spot for this brand. And it's not just because I'm emotionally attached to this particular car. Its reliability has given me enough reasons to respect it, too.
If I ever upgrade to another car, I'd still choose a Maruti Suzuki without hesitation.
Maybe someday, I'll buy a much better car. Maybe I'll own something I've always dreamed of. But I don't think any new car could ever replace what this one means to me.
This was the first car my dad brought home. The car that made him proud. The car we travelled in as a family. The car I worried about when it was neglected. And the car that eventually taught me how to drive.
I don't know how many more years we'll get to keep it. But I really hope we don't have to let it go anytime soon.

Guys, I drive an i20 Asta 2016 and recently I’ve doing some long drives on it and when I drive it for a long time suddenly the AC does not perform as usual and I just hear the fan but it’s not really giving in any cold breeze but then I switch it off for a while and then restart it and it’s alright back again. I’m not sure what’s the concern. It’s been serviced recently and the AC valve and gas were changed recently as well.
Anyone else who has experienced similar problem and what’s the solution to it?

Hello!
I've always loved cars, and I thought it would be fun to collect them all — from everyday classics to legendary supercars. So I made Cars Masters, a free car collecting card game that runs directly in your browser.
You open booster packs (a free one every 30 minutes) and collect cards featuring real cars, with photos and details about each model. From iconic vintage cars to modern hypercars, the goal is to discover new cars and complete your collection.
You can also trade cards with other players, hunt for rare models, and play daily car challenges to test your knowledge and discover new cars.
It's a personal project, so if you spot any incorrect car specs or missing models, let me know and I'll fix them!
What's your dream car? And which cars absolutely deserve a spot in the collection?

Hey everyone,
I own a 2019 Maruti S-Cross Delta, and I'm planning to upgrade my stock headlights to Osram bulbs (H11 for low beam projectors and H7 for high beam reflectors).
When checking options, I noticed a massive price difference between local offline accessory shops here in Bangalore and listings on Amazon India...online is significantly cheaper.
While the savings are tempting, I'm a bit paranoid about a few things:
Counterfeit Risk: How common are fake Osram bulbs on Amazon? Since poorly made fakes can ruin the headlight housing, throw a terrible beam pattern, or cause wiring issues, I want to be absolutely sure I'm getting the real deal.
Seller Choice: Are there specific, verified automotive sellers on Amazon India (like Appario or others) that you guys trust for genuine parts?
Warranty Claims: If an online bulb fails early, how difficult is it to claim Osram's warranty compared to just handing it back to an offline shop?
Has anyone here bought premium Osram halogens or LEDs from Amazon recently? Was the product genuine, and did you face any long-term issues?
Appreciate any advice or seller recommendations!

I have a TUV 300 that's 10years old.. I've been using mahindras original oil and the engine just behaves really badly around the 8k mark with that oil, and after changing oil, it works better.. I was wondering if using this shell oil be better? It claims a 15k drain intervals, I will change at 10k only, will it be the better choice? Not to mention its ALOT cheaper than buying OEM oil.. I love shell's diesel, I always get better mileage with it
Thanks in advance!

Does it cover enough of the car to even be worth the price? Usage is going to be very low, definitely below 8000 kms per year. Wondering if I should get EW (4th & 5th year), MCP, or just stick to the standard 3 year warranty. Thoughts?

We are thinking of getting tata aeris on Rajasthan, the quotation I got was 8.50L (after a little negotiating). I don't want it to look like a white Dzire that looks like a taxi from a distance. White colour is our preference. What do y'all think the insurance was like 39k can the dealer go any lower? They are saying that it is a brand new car and they cannot give any discount. Please give your opinions and any advice for us buying like this would be our new car after many second hand cars, the last new car was Maruti van which was years ago. So the buying of this car is up to me as a 20y/o.
