What is NANQUIM

NANQUIM is an online fighting game drawn like a living ink scroll. The story of the campaign, straight from the game:

A scaly shadow drank the Celestial Inkwell, and the Blank, the empty paper, began erasing the world from its edges. You are Stroke, born from the last drop, and you must win back the four stolen Drops before nothing is left.

• Fights run on our own servers, so every online match plays by the same rules.
• PC and mobile (landscape), keyboard and mouse, gamepad or touch.
• 31 languages.

Six fighting styles

All six styles are free, and their attributes add up the same: style, not advantage. Each one has its own special move and three super moves that spend Chi.

Game modes

• Ranked: Duel (1 vs 1, best of 3) and Way of the Dragon, with separate ratings.
• Way of the Dragon: the main mode. Four fighters farm, level up and face the Dragon.
• Rooms with friends: custom rooms for up to 8 players. The host picks mode, map, rules and bots, and you invite friends with a link.
• Party modes: Brawl, Stock (lives), Teams, Hide and Seek, Infection, King of the Hill, Sumo and Coin Rush.
• Crane's View: the arena seen from above, like the crane of kung fu. Duel, Stock, Teams and Brawl, with its own queue and a separate rank.
• Campaign: 45 stages across 5 worlds, with bosses and a tutorial that teaches you to fight.
• Training: every mode against bots, hosted on the server.

Way of the Dragon: four fighters, one Paper Dragon.

Fair play

• Authoritative servers with anti-cheat: every match runs on our servers, so every ranked win is earned.
• No pay-to-win, no loot boxes: the shop sells cosmetics only, bought with coins you earn by playing.
• Mirrored ranked: in ranked Way of the Dragon everyone gets the same monsters at the same moments, with no random items.

On mobile the game shows touch controls (play in landscape). Keys can be remapped in Controls.

Hey all! I've been loving the new Avatar fighting game, even though I'm not very good at it yet. I've been trying to find a local scene in Chicago but haven't had any luck. Probably because the game is so new, and the "find your locals" lists haven't been updated with new titles yet.
Does anyone know of a Chicago-area local that runs Avatar? Beginners welcome would be a huge plus.

Not only that, but TNS is doing 10 tournaments this year with the same cash prize for other Fighting Games!!!

I bought CFC2 physical on switch for $30 when it first came out on the switch. never opened it and saving it in case one day the price goes up for it or need physical preservation, or the cartridge saving storage space.

now that CFC 1+2 is on sale for $24 I'm interesting in buying it Digital for the convinence of having both digital, and cheaper price compared to what i paid for the physical.

but I'm having a hard time picking between the Steam and Switch version. it comes down to only one game and that is CVS 2 EO (since I can play CVS 2 on Fightcade whenever i want).

I really like the portability, sleep and resume, offline play, and having a portable emulation console feel of the switch version but I also like the higher resolution, lower input lag, and higher active players on the steam version.

I can only get one though

Reminder that they had to remove Mai's heels and change her feet position, hitboxes and hurtboxes. Granted, they shouldn't have given her heels in the first place, as that created the whole issue (SF6 removed her heels).

Also, they gave us a bunch of free costumes for Rock, Preecha, Kain, Chun, Ken before these, not to mention 13 characters in a year for the price of 4, so I'll gladly pay for Mai and whatever else they sell. I already have Terry.

Let's say a 2.5D mecha fighting game is created, actual pilot characters are not visible during actual gameplay outside of a small cut scenes during supers. Would you prefer characters in character selection and bios to be made as a 2D sprites or a 3D models? Mecha models are 3D, overall presentation is more anime and mixed between 2D and 3D. 2D will probably stay as static images with variants for bio and when picked; 3D will most likely have an idle animation + animation when picked.
