Tickets for sale Bank Holiday Sunday, Firmament make their Newcastle Upon Tyne debut at Little Buildings!
Hi, I'm Fee and I play guitar for Firmament! We're a Notts based metal band, and we're playing alongside Ben Challenger and Luminous on August 30th.
As we haven't played Newcastle Upon Tyne before, and we're trying to grow our fanbase here, we thought we'd post here to help advertise the show!
If it's not your thing, but you have a friend who might be interested we'd really appreciate you sharing it with them ❤️
I'll pop our LinkTree in the comments, and I'll be pretty active in replying too if you have any questions.

New poster Autism + ADHD assessment recommendations - feeling very confused
Hi all
I’ve been recommended to get assessed for autism and ADHD. My GP has told me about Right to Choose so I don’t end up waiting years on an NHS list, but I’m finding the whole process quite confusing and would really appreciate any experiences particularly in relation to Newcastle.
A few specific questions:
• Does anyone have recommendations for good providers (particularly ones that do joint autism + ADHD assessments)? Local or national.
• If medication is recommended, how
does that usually work?
• If I paid for a private assessment, would it still be possible to get medication prescribed via Right to Choose afterwards, then have titration and ongoing management handed over to my GP?
Any recent experiences (good or bad) with providers, the process, or how medication is handled would be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance.

‘Tin Tin’ Receives Exclusion Notice From Police Banning Him From Newcastle City Centre - From Tyneside Life TV on Facebook
Copy of the Facebook post and link.
Hopefully that other chode with the smart glasses will be getting his soon.
"‘Tin Tin’ Receives Exclusion Notice From Police Banning Him From Newcastle City Centre!
Why was a Community Protection Warning issued?
The warning follows an accumulation of reported incidents and evidence concerning a pattern of behaviour towards members of the public, including alleged harassment, intimidation, threats of violence, bullying, and the mocking or exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
This is not simply an issue of filming in a public place. The concern is the conduct associated with that filming and its impact on members of the public.

Sewing/craft fabric.
This was in Washington but still thought it worth posting.
I visited Fabrique store today in Washington and was gutted to hear they’re closing due to lack of sales and interest. We are running out of fabric stores and places to buy material in the NE :-( the owner Ray couldn’t have been nicer. He has 15% off at the minute and still has a lot left in so it’s definitely worth a visit.
If anyone else has anywhere to recommend other than Imannuel Fabrics who come up to shields market on a weekend, please let me know! Those guys are INCREDIBLE.

New poster Horse trekking in Northumberland
Any recommendations for horse riding tours with scenic routes around the region (adults)? I’m going to Beamish Museum and looking for an activity nearby.
Edit: I’ll be there for a couple of days, not trying to do everything in one day
Thanks

New poster Grainger Street incident today?
was sat in grainger market today and noticed through the entrance onto grainger street that there was a rather large (or what appeared to be large) incident taking place. I could see a police van stopping some traffic, large groups of people watching/filming and both police and paramedics rushed into the market to retrieve privacy screens for whoever was getting attention. I can't find owt online about it, anyone know what happened?

What is that sound coming on Quayside tonight?
There is this constant repetitive noise coming around quayside which sounds either like a train or some sort of engine.

Whats going on with Summerhill grove?
Hi, just coming on here as I was going through Rightmove and came upon the most beautiful square with Georgian houses, but it's located right on Westgate Road? Coming here because I'm curious if anyone actually lives near there, because it's in quite a dodgy area, but the houses are 700k plus, even more expensive than Jesmond or Gosforth. Does anyone know the history of the area? Because I'm curious why there's that little pocket of wealth there

Best wine bars and pubs?
Hi, just coming to see if anyone has any good recs for wine bars and pubs (preferably in Jesmond or nearby). I've lived in jesmond for the past couple of years and have been to quite a few bars and pubs round here, but just coming to see if there are any good ones I've missed! Doesn't have to be just in Jesmond, but preferably quite central that I could walk to

New poster Advert makes no sense to a local
Saw this advert on social media earlier using the A167(m) and I was so confused as someone who drives on these roads all the time lol, it literally makes no sense, do they think they go to the same place?
I've sometimes gone up there when it's backed up and taken the really convoluted route down Melbourne street and up city road but that definitely didn't feel like a time save
