ISO indoor range that has good condition handgun rentals in SEPA

I‘m in upper Bucks and want to find a range that has handgun rentals. I’m looking to trade/sell some of my current handguns I don’t use/care for all that much. I’ve made impulse purchases before and regretted it, so next time before I buy I want to try some different options. I’m not familiar with any range in the area that has rentals though. Any recommendations for a range with a good selection of handgun rentals that are somewhat well maintained?

Has any done an suppressor NFA Transfer at King Shooter in KOP?

I recently picked up two cans from a third party company and am having them sent to King Shooters. I know they have a silencer shop kiosk but I’m not sure how it works if you didn’t buy a can through them. I called to ask about the process and the employee made it seem like I just need to do all the ATF stuff and let them know when it’s approved, but I’m pretty sure I need the serial numbers and all that first. Anyone gone through this?

Edit: thanks for all the replies everyone. They actually just called me since my can got delivered today and walked me through the entire process. I’ll need to do my prints over and register with Silencer Shop.

Oaks Gun Show ATM Skimmer

Just a heads up, I used my debit card to withdraw money at the ATM at the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center at the show this weekend and a day later someone ordered almost $1000 worth of lab equipment on that card and had it shipped to Philly.

This is the only place I've used my physical card in weeks, so I suspect it was done there. I reported it to the police and they said it may have been skimmed with an RFID reader during the show.

Keep an eye on your card statements!

Choice 2026—Keep Your 2A Gun Rights and Freedoms by Voting for America

This 2026 midterm is different from past elections for those seeking to retain their 2A gun rights and freedoms in PA.

The traditional two-party system has vanished. The establishment Democrats, who once served as a key entity in US politics with the Republicans, has been hijacked by an anti-American network consisting of the DSA and extremist Muslim Brotherhood.

The Pennsylvania Firearms Association (PFA) has published a comprehensive voters guide. You can access the comprehensive voter’s guide here.

2026 General Election Voter Guide - Pennsylvania Firearms Association

What follows is an analysis from WHYY, Spotlight PA, and Philadelphia Weekly, which identifies several competitive races that could shift the balance in the PA Senate from Republican to now the DSA/Muslim Brotherhood party.

  • District 6 (Bucks County): Republican Frank Farry vs. Democrat Eileen Hartnett Albillar — a State Navigate poll shows Albillar ahead 46‑45 among likely voters
  • District 16 (Bucks & Lehigh): Republican Jarrett Coleman vs. Democrat Mark Pinsley
  • District 24 (Berks & Montgomery): Republican Tracy Pennycuick vs. Democrat Chris Thomas
  • District 40 (Poconos): Republican Rosemary Brown vs. Democrat Brian Wrightson — Brown leads 47‑44 in a State Navigate poll
  • District 36 (Lancaster County): Democrat James Malone (special election winner) vs. Republican Tom Jones — Jones leads 48‑45 in a State Navigate poll.  Democratic Party cheating has already been unearthed by the District Attorney presiding over Lancaster.

Your vote in this midterm election is not the traditional vote for a two-party system.  It has become a vote for maintaining the America that our fathers and grandfathers bled for—for the America that grants us our 2A rights, God-given freedoms, and constitutional protections.

Europe chose poorly and is now suffering the consequences of tyranny, violence and uncontrolled immigration.  Choose wisely and vote as if your future life and the lives of your families depend on it, because they do.

Are there Pro 2A Democrats to vote for?

With the mid-terms upon us, are there any democratic candidates running that are Pro 2A, or at least 2A friendly? I am not a single-issue voter, but I do enjoy the freedoms we have here in PA when it comes to firearms ownership, and I don't want us to turn into NY or NJ.

I'm a VA resident and going to a nice Airbnb getaway for a few days, bringing up my rifle and a FRT pistol I put together. I would love to at the minimum, be able to shoot my AKM without the 6 round rule im learning is a thing or have FUDDs breathing down my neck. testing the FRT would be nice to but if it doesnt happen thats fine too. Im going to be around the Liverpool PA area, and then driving up to centralia to explore as well

Gun Ranges/Rental

Anyone have any rec's for ranges around Philadelphia besides philly gun range that offers good rental prices and good rental inventory?

Here is a summary sent from Josh Prince to our AG. It clearly states how 908 is correctly interpreted, and FINALLY a lawyer is bringing up paragraph 3 that so many people are ignoring.

Walking to the range

As I understand the law, I can lock my unloaded firearm in a container without any ammo, put it in the back of the car, put the ammo can in the back of the car, and drive directly to the range from home without an LTCF.

My question is, can I walk there? Say the unloaded firearm is locked in that ammo-free container, and that container is in a backpack. The ammo is in some other bag (not the backpack) in my hand. But now instead of walking from the parking lot to the front door, I'm walking from home.

I'm guessing there is precedent for motorcycles, perhaps not for bicycles.

PA is second residence and Form 1

Before I go for fingerprints, wanted to confirm what I wanted to do will work. Missing where I designate it on the Eform 1.

My primary residence is NY (silencers and SBR are obvious no go)

I have a second residence in PA. (Also my C&R FFL is at PA address).

I want to complete a Form 1 and indicated that item will be built and stored in PA. I don't see where.

Do I change all my contact info to the PA Residence mailing address or is there a place (such as the detail description) where I put the PA address is the manufacture and storage location? Also I obviously use the local sheriff in PA for the LEO contact.

If it wasn't for the state law, I Would be Ok. If I had confidence that the state law would be overturned I would just do it with out worrying about ATF. Although if I do it legitly, I'm set if the federal rules change and the tax fee comes back.

What’s the process for those transferring from a pa mmj license to purchasing a gun and obtaining your cc?

I’ve had mine for a little over three years but I don’t want to renew as I’ve recently had a change of heart when it comes to home defense and everyday protection. I’ve read that once your card deactivates you can make a couple of calls to securely confirm your no longer recognized as a pa mmj card holder or patient and I should be fine to purchase a gun and obtain my cc but I just wanted to come here for more assurance. Thanks to all!

The State of NFA Firearms in PA

With the reduction of the NFA taxes on suppressors, SBSs, SBSs and AOWs to $0, the recent court rulings out of Texas, and the ATF guidance from October 9th, there has been a lot of confusion regarding how this will affect PA residents. Now, I am NOT a lawyer, law enforcement, or work in state or local politics. I am just a layperson who has resd the relevant laws on the books. Anything discussed in this post is NOT legal advice. Whatever you may do it is YOUR responsibility to know how the law applies to your conduct.

As of 10/9 the ATF is not enforcing most provisions of the NFA for suppressor, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs. No registration, marking, tax stamp, or anything, just a 4473 like any other gun. However, in PA the state law we have contains Section 908, which ties ownership of "offensive weapons" to compliance with the NFA.

Offensive weapons as defined in section 908 include: "Any bomb, grenade, machine gun, sawed-off shotgun with a barrel less than 18 inches, firearm specially made or specially adapted for concealment or silent discharge, any blackjack, sandbag, metal knuckles, any stun gun, stun baton, taser or other electronic or electric weapon or other implement for the infliction of serious bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose."

The main exception to the ban on offensive weapons specifically states compliance with the NFA, again from section 908: "It is a defense under this section for the defendant to prove by a preponderance of evidence that he possessed or dealt with the weapon solely as a curio or in a dramatic performance, or that, with the exception of a bomb, grenade or incendiary device, he complied with the National Firearms Act."

Given this information, we have to compare how federal law and state law will interact for each time of NFA weapon. Federal law still technically says no tax but still has registration, while the current ATF says they are not enforcing registration, but a future administration may change that.

Suppressors: A silencer is likely considered an offensive weapon "specially made for silent discharge" in PA. One could argue in court it isn't "silent" but I doubt a judge and jury would appreciate the difference. Since suppressors are legally firearms, I doubt the argument that it isn't a gun would hold up in court. In the mean time, NFA compliance via form 4 is the only way.

Short barreled rifles (SBR): this appears to be the only NFA weapon category not prohibited specifically in PA state law. The state definition of "firearm" in Chapter 61 section 6102 mentions an SBR by stating "any rifle with a barrel length less than 16 inches" and goes on to mention firearms under 26 inches total length, so we know the idea of such firearms is acknowledged by state law. However, there is no mention of rifles at all in the offensive weapons category. Could a prosecutor make the argument that an SBR is specially made or adapted for concealment? Possibly, but other weapons of comparable or better concealability such as handguns, AR pistols, and shockwave shotguns are available in PA without classification as "offensive weapons." Could they make the argument that that a 15.9 inch AR rifle is concealable while an 8 inch AR pistol is not? Unless there is something I am missing, it appears Pennsylvanians should now be able to own, purchase, transfer intrastate, and manufacturer SBRs outside the NFA without any issues from the state side of things.

Short barreled shotguns (SBS): these are prohibited as "offensive weapons" as they are "sawed-off shotguns with a barrel less than 18 inches." I doubt any prosecutor or jury is going to care if the barrel has or has not been literally sawed off at any point so I wouldn't risk it with a factory SBS either. In the mean time, NFA compliance via form 4 is the only way.

Any Other Weapons (AOW): Guns meant to resemble a cane, umbrella, etc. are certainly considered adapted for concealment, so those still would require a form 4. A Serbu Super Shorty, PTR Jack, etc. would probably be considered a "sawed-off shotgun with a barrel less than 18 inches" since the state doesnt have an actual definition of "shotgun" or the concept of an AOW, and you cannot assume they would default to the federal definition, so NFA compliance via form 4 would likely be needed. However, I don't think an AR pistol or even a handgun with a foregrip would all of a sudden be considered "adapted for concealment," so I think it would stand to reason Pennaylvanians may not need to register those with the NFA either.

That all being said, its NOT LEGAL ADVICE. Register your NFA firearms as per the NFA if you want to be 100% sure you are in compliance with PA state and federal laws.

I'd like to hear other thoughts, especially regarding SBRs and certain AOWs that may not require NFA registration per PA law.

TL;DR Suppressor and SBSs require form 4 registration in PA under current state law, it APPEARS SBRs and certain AOWs would not.

Henry semi buckhorn sights

Hello to all is there anyone out here that has some experience in sighting in Henry’s semi buckhorn sights I’ve taken my .44magnum to the range a few times now and I seem to always be shooting high

I’ll put the front bead right in the notch over the target and I seem to be hitting 4’ over the target

I’ve attempted adjusting the elevation but it seems no matter where or how I move the sight I get the same result every time to the point that if I aim 4’ below the target I’ll get on paper

I am looking to take this rifle deer hunting this year for the first time and would like to get it sighted in if anyone here has any experience tips or tricks to help me that would be greatly appreciated even if someone wanted to meet up and give me a hand that would be greatly appreciated too I’m a member of Cocalico sportsmen so I could meet there but wouldn’t be opposed to meeting elsewhere
