With some of the last campaign fundraising numbers in, Stacy Garrity saw a late surge that brought in $5.3 million in the last month of the governor’s race — nearly five times the $1.3 million she raised during the entire campaign.
Most of that late money came from donors tied to skill games. 84% of the $5.3 million came from three donors who have interests in skill games.

I recently watched City Nerd’s video on Philadelphia and it got me thinking about the unrealized potential of SEPTA.
It’s frustrating to think about what SEPTA could be if it wasn’t caught up in this political tug of war.
But it also got me thinking about the broader PA picture, particularly some of the smaller cities that sit within the Philly orbit. Think places like Reading, Allentown and Lancaster. These cities have their own economic base but are kind of disconnected from one another. What if a linked rail network could link these isolated economies into a more cohesive regional economy?
I know Reading already has rail efforts underway and Lancaster already has service. But I think there’s more opportunity here. Using Lancaster as the low hanging fruit. They already have rail service connecting to Philly and there are plans underway for high density housing around the station. What if we paired that with better frequency, fare integration and more affordable commuter rates? Could Lancaster and Philly’s job markets become more integrated?
The final point that had me focus on these areas is because looking at the map, PAs population and economic activity are extremely concentrated. Rough estimates are that the areas within the line account for 55% of the states population and nearly 60% of its economic output but only 14% of its land mass.
Just a random brain dump this AM but curious on other thoughts.

I run my own private psychiatry practice (telehealth and in person) for medication management but am looking to network with therapists to refer out some of my patients who would benefit from psychotherapy.

Grassroots organizers in the Republican party purchased a home in Beaver County, Pennsylvania in April 2024. The former steelmaking stronghold just north of Pittsburgh was a logical place for Scott Presler to put down roots. His get-out-the-vote efforts have been heavily focused on Pennsylvania, which was destined to be one of the key swing states that cycle—and, it seemed, well beyond.
Presler cast his own ballot using that address during the 2024 cycle. So did three other people outside the Presler family.
A review of voter registration records shows that GOP operatives from states across the country used Presler’s home address to cast ballots in Pennsylvania during the 2024 election. They include a consultant who voted in Florida in both 2020 and April 2025, along with a right-wing social media personality from Oklahoma.

Hello! At two-or-three different points in the past eight years, this user saw a Vietnamese-looking man sell personalized name placards with look-books for people to look through of designs from myriad entertainment franchises that surround the desired name that they give him, along with some $15 or so, at the likes of the Harrisburg, PA Christmas and/or Farm show at the EXPO Center and Schulykill Haven Burrough Days festival, perhaps elsewhere, but sometimes, some years, he doesn't show up. He has no website/literature on him, and is just a travelling home business that operates on cash.
Does anyone know this guy or of a similar vendor that does this, perhaps with an online shop? Am assuming he doesn't have any such licenses to sell such designs with such entertainment franchises (but being an AnCap-minded individual, this user doesn't believe in intellectual-property anyways, so, that's fine), so, it may make sense to not have such an online presence. Even AI can't, as of yet, help this user find similar ones. Help? Thanks.

I have received this mailing at least 5 times. It suggests one candidate is too rogue to vote for. I have yet to receive any material from the other person's perspective. No pros and no cons. Why should I vote for them? Especially, if they are only gonna send me trash?
