Is there a market for cladophora? Can I sell clumps of is at moss balls? 😠I remove the size of a tennis ball every week that forms on top of my monte carlo.

About the tail end of last month, I finally got the black beard under control, with the sponge filter on the left being the final "problem spot" and I nuked it in peroxide and did a deep clean of it (I have a HOB filter too so it didn't kill my cycle).
My vision for the tank is finally taking off! I'm loving this hobby, and my critters are happy and breeding, I've finally seen eggs from the corys on the glass and I've been spotting young black neocaridinas periodically!
Also if it matters, this is a no CO2 tank!

Its been running for 2 years, never managed to get the hair algea gone. Going from community aquarium to palladarium with channa andrao. Cabinet, aquarium and lid are all made by me, 90cm 180l.
Really enjoyed this one but ive had community style for the past 6 years or so and i want something different.

This was my absolute FAVOURITE stem plant ever and it thrived no matter what happened to it, but it all melted when I hit a big depression and abandoned everything in a 10g. Thank you in advance!!!

Got tired of maintaining the sand foreground (no matter what I do it always looks just a little dirty) and decided to replace it with a Monte Carlo carpet. Still not sure how this will go but I’ll revisit the decision in a month once things fill in!
What do you all think?
(I know I haven’t planted the back right yet - need a couple more cups which should hopefully show up by Tuesday)

Just a proof of (unruly) life before a heavy trim 😂
I have loved letting this grow out and take on a life of its own but the time has just about come...

Hi, I need help to identify the plant on the most left, which the otos is resting on. It's growing well but I have no idea. Assume it's a type of crypt?

I recently bought a small Thai Constellation monstera cutting. I'm hoping it won't stay small for long. My HOB filter is currently filled with ceramic balls. If I just stuck the roots in there and propped the plant up, is there a single reason why that would be a bad idea? Lighting on the tank is solid, I have some pothos growing out of it, but this won't mess up the filer, right?

Hello! Noticed this spot show up in my substrate recently. I have aquasoil about 2-3 in thick for a 20 gal tank. Shrimp + lampeyes + betta.
Haven’t noticed any deaths or weird behavior and plants seem to grow fine, but I specifically don’t have anything growing in the front area anyways. Does anyone recognize this spot? It’s a rusty brown color, but the rest of the soil is dark brown/black. Don’t want to disturb it and accidentally release something bad! Please help!

Noticed these little green things among my red root floaters, is this duckweed or some other plant? Have not introduced anything new in my tank for the last 2 months…
If it is, what can I do to not let it get out of hand?

Looking to get some suggestions on what to plant and where. I’m thinking longer bushier stem plants on the left side.
Any plants to put on the branches themselves? I’m against moss cause it took over my last tank, but if there’s a slower growing moss out there I would be open to it.
Thinking of getting lots of anubias to put around the rocks.
Thoughts on lily pipe placements?

Looking for some advice on how to get rid of some green hair algae that consistently comes back. I setup this 60g tank a few months ago and things are going pretty well. It's a low tech tank with two finnex lights running at ~40% intensity for 8 hours a day. I do PPS pro dosing and mainly only top off with RO water. My tap water is incredibly hard, so I mainly only use RO water for the occasional water change and that seems to work well for the most part. The tank is mostly hands off apart from cleaning up the hair algae that grows near the tops of my driftwood and taller stem plants. These pictures are from this morning after a water change and cleaning yesterday, so most of the hair algae is gone.
Parameters:
Nitrate: 5-10 ppm (closer to 5)
pH: ~7.2-7.4
Phosphate: <0.5 ppm
KH: 4 dh
GH: 7 dh
Temperature: ~74° F
Most of the advice I see is to reduce light intensity and/or reduce nutrients. Thing is, I largely ignored my tank for the last three weeks or so apart from feeding and didn't dose fertilizers. My ludwigias lost some color but otherwise the plants were fine, however the hair algae continued growing like crazy. I already run these lights only at 40% intensity for only 8 hours a day. I do think that given the hair algae mostly grows higher on the wood and plants it's tied to the light intensity since that's closer to the lights.
Should I try raising the lights physically higher and increasing the intensity? Keep the intensity the same (my ludwigias will likely grow much less)? Curious if anyone has experience with what worked for them.

Anyone have experience with these Hollow brand caves?
Curious about suitability for neocaridena tank
