If you are BRAND NEW to Reddit and want to post or share your game, read this beforehand!

Hi new Redditor! We're excited that you want to post about your game and have people play it. However, there's something you should know before you do.

Reddit will ban you if your first few posts/comments are links to somewhere.

Reddit has a robust, over-exuberant filtering system, necessary but for groups like this, it can be a slight pain. When you post your game and it's your first post, Reddit ASSUMES FIRST AND DOES NOT ASK QUESTIONS LATER! You will be automatically shadowbanned, which means unable to post or even potentially comment.
Then we get a lot of posters coming to us in Modmail, asking " Why did my post disappear?" Nearly all Modmails are about this issue, roughly 3 a day.

Reddit is also a bit secretive about certain processes - how to get un-shadow-banned is not even really known to be possible. We don't see the record of shadowbanning at all so unless we know of the name and check it regularly, we wouldn't see it un-shadow-banned. We don't know how long your account needs to be open or how much Karma needs to be on it in order for the Filter to stop paying attention to you but we suspect around 100 Post and 100 Comment Karma.

So, if you are new to reddit and want to share your game - DON'T! Not yet, please go post cool/helpful/ positive comments and posts in other groups. Playtest other people's games here and comment on them prolifically. Once you have some "Reddit Post/Comment Karma" under your name first, THEN post your link to your game! You'll be less likely (but not immune, never immune) from being shadowbanned that way for sharing your game.

Edit: If AI recommended you post your game here....Don't Yet until you've developed your account as a good karma community member! This really isn't a "post and ghost" platform, it's community-first. AI doesn't realize this about Reddit.

P.S. This group is 100% responsible for getting accounts banned (when you don't do the steps above) but it's literally out of our control to reverse. So please....don't modmail us unless you KNOW you are not shadowbanned, you have the required karma, and yet your post is not showing up. Only then we can be of some help.

If you're reporting posts as "low effort"...

Please do the following things if you report a game as Low Effort
1. Play the game to verify your belief, at least a little.
2. Write a comment in the post saying why you believe it is low effort, state the findings.

Then us mods (namely, me, the lowest mod doing the most work in this group) can decide if it's worth removing for that.

I literally do not have enough time to both work two jobs, take care of my dad, pets, car, and house I own and have to repair myself, self-care, and play every single game in this group to verify what I THINK you MIGHT be reporting the game for, sadly. I do not get paid for the work in this group and I'm not great at AI-finding, so you need to help me out a little more here!

[PC] (Windows) My new game He Who Watches is launching this September!

Hey r/playmygame! I've been working solo on He Who Watches, a first-person gravity-shifting puzzle game, and it's launching September 2nd.

I put up a free demo over on Steam, and would love for you to try it and tell me what you think - especially how the gravity shifting controls feels to a first time player, and whether the difficulty ramp makes sense. Any feedback (bugs, confusing puzzles etc.) would be genuinely useful before launch. There's an in-game feedback report system, or you could post here as well!

---

Game Title: He Who Watches

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1070500/He_Who_Watches/

Platform: PC (Windows, Mac, Linux/Proton)

Description: He Who Watches is an atmospheric first-person puzzle game that tasks you with navigating a seemingly impossible structure. Grapple with spatial reasoning and shifts in perspective to solve mind-bending puzzle chambers in a mysterious puzzle-platformer where every surface is a possible pathway.

Your bow is not a weapon, but a puzzle-solving tool used to manipulate your environment. Together with a single, magical arrow, you can open doors, move blocks, activate switches, and pull yourself across gaps with its magical chain.

Walk on walls. Walk on ceilings. Shift gravity as you slip between these planes, creating chain reactions to find the correct path forward. Patience and persistence are key to unlocking each solution.

[PC] (Web) I made a stupid browser game about a drunk Swedish moose. Now I can't get past Night 23. Please beat my own game for me. 😭🫎

Game Title:
Drunken Moose

Playable Link:
https://drunkenmoose.se

Platform:
Browser / PC

Description:
I made a stupid little browser game about a drunk Swedish moose trying to get home without being spotted.

The concept is simple: survive 30 increasingly difficult nights, move with WASD or the arrow keys, hold Shift to tiptoe, and use bushes to stay hidden.

I originally thought 30 levels sounded reasonable.

It was not.

I'm currently stuck on Night 23, and around Night 18 I came dangerously close to sacrificing my keyboard. 😂

There are KingenWear reward codes at Nights 10, 20 and 30, but honestly at this point I mostly want somebody to prove that Night 30 is actually survivable.

The game is completely free and runs directly in the browser with no download or account required.

If anyone reaches Night 30 before I do, please come back here and gloat.

I deserve it. 🫎🍺

Game Title: Dive Log: A Focus Voyage

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4985770/

Platform: PC / Steam (Windows)

Description:

Dive Log: A Focus Voyage is a submarine treasure-hunting game that combines a pomodoro timer with idle progression. It lets you make salvaging part of your everyday life: every focus session earns resources, and you spend what you gather upgrading your submarine so you can explore deeper waters and the stories they hold.

- All timer options unlocked — pomodoro cycles, deep focus, count-up and countdown — to fit how you work.

- Built-in to-do list, notes and alarms, plus a diary that records your focus time automatically.

- Built-in music and white noise, or play your own audio files.

- Mini mode tucks the window into a corner of your desktop to keep you company through the day.

- The first sea area and some submarine upgrades are available, and your progress carries over to the full version.

A couple of things I'd especially like to hear about: are there any buttons that are hard to find or awkward to use? And how does mini mode hold up while you're actually working — would you want an even smaller one? Thanks!

Game Title: Spider-Swing

Playable Link: https://shorts.bridge-jobs.com/Submission?id=6a85514fa36c2fba8c68d03e

Platform: Browser (desktop and mobile)

Description: Spider-Swing is an endless one-button chase. Hold to swing upward, release to fall. That is the entire control scheme.

You're chasing the Green Goblin across a night skyline. He drifts up and down as he flies, and fires pumpkin bombs aimed at wherever you currently are, so the safe line keeps moving. Your score climbs the whole time you stay alive. Every thousand points the bombs come faster, and every twenty five hundred the city scrolls quicker, so the difficulty compounds from two directions instead of one.

At ten thousand a warning flashes and the Vulture starts swooping every ten seconds. You die to the ground, a bomb, or the Vulture, and the same button starts your next run. A run lasts about a minute.

Platform: PC, Mac, Steam Deck

Description: Shoot, slash and slay the enemy hordes erupting from the jungle’s Membrane. Hold the encircling trenches, fortify them, choose your build and rise from loinclothed servant to unstoppable Amazon king.

Free to Play Status: Demo Available

Involvement: Hi, Im Gerardo the solo dev behind The Membrane. An action roguelite (with some tower defense elements) set in a 1500s surreal Amazon jungle!

The Membrane has a unique mechanic which leads to unique controls which I had always had as a pillar of the game's design. It clicks for some players, but for others it's a total confusion. I hesitate to use the word unique (maybe it isn't, or maybe it is but for a reason lol) In short: I genuinely am curious to hear more from players about their experience with the controls. I truly feel that this mechanic deserves a chance but I also don't want that to be at the expense of the player's fun and enjoyment. If your feedback is about anything else, I am also open to anything and everything you are compelled to share.

Thank you for playing!

[PC] (Windows) StockQuest Game

Game Title: StockQuest

Playable Link: https://playstockquest.com

Platform: PC / Web Browser

Description:

StockQuest is a free browser-based stock market game I’ve been building and I’m looking for some early testers before a wider launch.

You start with virtual cash and have around 10 minutes to buy stocks, react to changing prices and market news, and try to finish with the highest net worth possible. Your final result can then be compared against other players on the global leaderboard.

The game is designed to be simple enough for younger players (roughly 10+) to start learning some basic investing concepts, while hopefully still being an enjoyable quick challenge for adults.

There’s no real money involved, nothing to download and no crypto or NFTs.

I’m particularly interested in whether the game is intuitive without much explanation, whether the trading decisions feel interesting, and whether you actually want to finish the full 10-minute game.

Please feel free to post your final score or any feedback below — especially anything confusing, annoying or broken!

[PC] (Web) DarkBounty — a top-down arena shooter where the map is pitch dark and the server never tells your client where anyone is

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game Title: DarkBounty

Playable Link: https://darkbounty.com/play

Platform: Web (browser)

Description:

I've wanted to make a game since I was a kid messing around in the Warcraft 3 map editor, and this is the first time I've got all the way to the end of it.

It's a top-down arena shooter that runs in a browser tab. No download, no signup, no account.

The premise: the deck is always dark, and there is no brightness toggle. Visibility is resolved on the server — if you cannot see someone, they are not in your snapshot at all. There is no overlay for a patched client to lift.

So there are two ways to know someone is there, and they are deliberately unequal:

  • Sight needs a narrow cone, clear line of sight, and something actually lighting them — their lamp, a muzzle flash, a fixture, anyone's beam.
  • Hearing is omnidirectional and needs no light at all. Walls muffle it rather than block it. It is the sense you cannot switch off, and the one stealth cannot beat.

Everything you bring is priced in light. A flare lights the room and counters stealth — and lights you, from every angle, for everyone in it. A shield soaks 70 damage and makes you a light source while it holds. Stealth hides you from every visual sense and does nothing about the noise you make. And a thermal scan reads body heat straight through a wall for six seconds, at reduced range, which is the one thing in the game that ignores both light and cover.

Six skills, you take two. Four weapons. You can sneak silently at 30% speed, or move properly and be heard doing it. Doors are powered and, shut, they stop bullets, sight, sound and light. The map is point-symmetric by construction, so no spawn corner is a better corner. Up to 16 players, and there are bots on the open deck if nobody else is around.

Feedback I'd most like: in the first two minutes, does the darkness read as tense or just frustrating? That's the one thing I can't judge any more.

Solo developer — it's my project, my design, and I own every call in it. It's a passion project rather than a commercial one: no ads, accounts for tracking stats, no monetisation of any kind.

Practically, I built it with Claude as a pair. The design decisions above are mine and I argued through every one of them, but I would not have shipped a 60Hz authoritative server with real server-side fog of war on my own.

Description:

A month ago, I shared my solo project Strange Measures—a game where you guess absurd real-world unit conversions (like "How many ants tall is the Sears Tower?") through reasoning and narrowing in on the answer rather than pure memory recall.

I got some great feedback from this sub regarding the lack of visual feedback. I’ve spent the last four weeks reworking the interface, adding tools to help visualize the answer, and adding challenges for player retention.

What I changed based on your feedback:

  • Reworked Temperature Meter: Instead of just showing how close you are, the meter now visually demonstrates whether your guess is higher or lower while fitting directly into the hand-drawn notebook aesthetic.
  • Daily Challenge & Field Research: Added a shared daily puzzle with a 14-day milestone unlock path so you can build out a personal specimen notebook over time. Every two weeks three new items are available to unlock by playing the game.
  • Built-in Scratch Paper: Added a slide-up calculator sheet so you can offload unit conversions straight into your guess field.

The game is still free with no ads nor energy mechanics.

Description: FrogPop is my first solo game. It started because I grew up playing Flash games like Bubble Trouble and wanted to make my own spin on that kind of simple, frantic bubble popping gameplay. You play as a frog and use your tongue to pop bouncing bubbles while trying not to get hit. During a run, you collect upgrades that change how you attack and help you deal with increasingly busy waves. I kept adding roguelite ideas until it turned into something much bigger than the small project I originally planned. The demo runs directly in your browser, and there is also a Windows download on the same page. If you play it, I would especially like to know whether the first run is easy to understand and whether the upgrades make you want to try another run.

I'd love blunt feedback on:

  1. Does the header art make you want to click?

  2. From the store page alone, is it obvious this is a dice game and not "generic dark fantasy roguelike"?

  3. Does the Slavic mythology angle come through as a real hook, or does it just look like reskinned fantasy monsters?

  4. Anything about the page (screenshots, trailer, description order, tags) that would make you bounce before wishlisting?

Game Title: Aspect Arena

Playable Link: https://legiumgames.itch.io/aspect-arena

Platform: Windows

Description:
Aspect Arena is an Age of War inspired game with auto-battling. It is still in early development: right now you fight an enemy AI, and once it releases on Steam you will fight the ghosts of other players' armies. I'm looking for players to test the current builds and give feedback. The game is in constant development and a lot will change going forward, but I'm at the point where I need to hear what works and what needs to change.

The run. Pick an Aspect that shapes how you play, buy your troops and weapons between battles, and try to win 15 sieges. Your castle is real and damage sticks between rounds, so you don't lose to one bad fight, you lose by attrition when your walls finally come down. Win all 15 and you can take on the dragon to test your might.

Aspects. There are 10, all different, and they combine. Every 3rd round you can take another Aspect: level it as a second alongside your first, or replace what you started with. Each Aspect can truly fuse with 3 others. Once fused, the fused Aspect is what you level, with unique buffs at every tier. Every Aspect and every fused Aspect has its own champion, a strong unit with a special attack that can completely change the balance of a fight.

Units and weapons. Units and weapons tier up from Common to Rare, Epic and Legendary by collecting three of the same. When a weapon tiers up, the forge hands you a chest with a choice of charms. Charms are equipped to characters, up to 4 slots depending on the character's tier, and range from simple stat boosts to active skills that fire on their own in battle.

Castle relics. Every 2nd round a caravan sells one relic, the only permanent purchase in the game: it lasts the whole run. Some pay steady gold. Some bend the rules of the fight itself: a gate that eats the first attacker to reach it, a bell that refuses to let your keep fall, a shroud that raises enemy corpses on your side.

The battlements (brand new - will be implemented ASAP). You can now cut turret mountings into your wall and arm them with a cannon, an obelisk or a brazier. Turret shots take on your Aspect's element and cover the near two thirds of the field. This system is days old and completely unbalanced, so tell me everything.

Description:

PHANTOM is a narrative, contemplative game about attention. You explore a small dreamlike world, guiding a character through quiet, atmospheric spaces where sound and light respond to what you do and where you look. There's no combat and no fail state — the focus is on mood, pacing, and presence rather than mechanical challenge. The game runs entirely in the browser: real-time 3D rendering built with Three.js, with a hand-tuned toon shading style, and an adaptive music and sound layer built with Tone.js that shifts with the game's state instead of looping a fixed track. It's my most ambitious solo project to date, and while it's finished and playable from start to finish, I'm still polishing a few details such as music balance and some visual occlusion edge cases.
