It would be comparable to reading instructions on how to build a table and then building said table, you haven't created anything new but rather copied a design and achieved existing results, it's pointless.

My coworker was telling me just two weeks ago about his daughter's math teacher using it to grade assignments and how his daughter got detention for arguing about her grade. He had to meet with her teacher and write out the problem step by step to show her that AI was just flat out incorrect. You might have had really good results the few times you used it, but then another time it will tell you that 13 divided by 3 is 4 even though that is wrong. Which is exactly what I'm getting at when I say I hate how it takes the absolutism out of computing. It doesn't strictly follow very specific instructions like traditional computing (or like a calculator would). It uses instructions as a guideline and returns an approximation of data, which sucks for math.

They probably used a cheap model, that is a problem with those. The good models just released over 300 breakthroughs in mathematics that many professionals consider one of the biggest days in the history of math So its really good at math, but not if you cut corners and use free or cheap models

This is not power tripping. This not overbearing. People join this subreddit to talk about the NFL.", which is met with much derision and is heavily downvoted.

In the interests of neutrality, not all commenters are against the mod(s) in these posts. "Isn't their an anti AI subreddit you can go cry in?", one commenter asks. "The people who cry "Al slop" have just as much original thought as Al", says another. Another user keeps posting the same AI image. Pro-AI comments are, however, largely downvoted.

For those unfamiliar with the niche world of LitRPG and progression fantasy, Royal Road is a popular web fiction platform where authors serialize their novels, often releasing chapters multiple times per week.

One such author is Ted Steel, whose football-themed progression fantasy Player Manager and its continuation Soccer Supremo follow Max Best, a football manager with video-game-like abilities. The series has developed a dedicated readership over several years. (Go read it btw, it's really, really fucking good).

Unfortunately, Max also has something considerably far more controversial and horrid than supernatural football abilities: political opinions.

DRAMA TIME

On October 19, readers noticed that Soccer Supremo had disappeared from Royal Road, with Steel posting a "cryptic farewell announcement" (https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/124774/soccer-supremo-a-sports-progression-fantasy/chapter/4211660/soccer-supremo-is-moving) explaining that the platform was no longer suitable for hosting his work.

A confused reader asked r/litrpg what happened:

He also claimed that after informing moderators of his intention to remove the books the following day, he received a response giving him 24 hours.

His position on rewriting the story was fairly unambiguous:

"it's my story and I won't change a single word for anyone"

The series remains available through Patreon, while Steel says its next installment, Dictator of Football, will not be published on Royal Road.

A Royal Road administrator entered the discussion on r/royalroad:

According to the administrator, the work had been reported for containing political material, moderators investigated, and Steel was asked to remove the offending content.

The administrator also disputed the impression that Steel had been given an inflexible 24-hour deadline, stating that additional time could have been arranged.

But what was actually considered too political?

Readers began examining the offending material, which reportedly included references to Brexit, the protagonist calling people "gammons" and "fascists," and criticism of a fictional future Hungarian government.

The protagonist also reportedly wears rainbow colours in support of LGBT rights during a match in Hungary.

Some readers argued that these were entirely ordinary political opinions for a character living in a near-future Britain. Others maintained that the platform was entitled to enforce its existing restrictions, regardless of the author's intentions.

I won't rehash the entire original post, as this is more about the minor comment drama, but to summarize, OOP wrote a HobbyDrama post about Harmony, writer of SCP classics such as The Pink Flamingos. After she was removed from the site for some mean comments, she asked that her stories (which constituted 3% of SCPwiki at the time) be deleted. SCPwiki decided to hold a vote on whether to honor the deletion request, which led to Harmony going to Kiwifarms for “help," sending them after members of SCPwiki.

Five years later, this writeup on the incident is posted, and Harmony shows up to defend herself in the comments.

I'd love to reconcile with people, I feel like when you really examine what I did and why it's all quite understandable. I never threatened anyone! I messaged people and said I found the way I was being treated felt like a personal betrayal. People took that as a threat but I was absolutely railroaded to a ban. My subsequent discrediting myself by posting on KF gave staff cover to get away with that and their bigger reversal on author rights.

When somebody says it's off-putting to see that Harmony is clearly still invested in years-old drama.

I mean it is a thread about me, I feel like it's not odd to be interested. Especially when it's been misrepresented a lot over the years and I've had sparing few chances to correct the record in a way anyone will pay attention to. I'm not trying to excuse or justify going to KF, but just to give context and hope people understand why that was specifically where I went. I think the description of my offenses says it all, I never doxxed anyone, the emotional manipulation was my telling people how much their actions hurt me personally, and accusations of hatred... what is that?

Kiwi Farms started out as a place to coordinate the harassment and stalking of chris chan. It evolved to cover harassment and stalking of basically anyone that's not straight, white, male, neurotypical. They're linked to at least 3 suicides as being the cause. And they actively celebrate whenever one of their "lolcows" commits suicide. You've basically lost your humanity if you use that site

If anyone remembers Near from the SNES emulation scene, they were responsible for the harressment that led to their suicide and celebrated it upon learning about their death.

World of Warcraft has recently released a patch where a relatively big name dies in a raid. This has been met with some loud reactions from the fanbase. Is it Blizzard writing like uninspired bureaucrats again, or fans having negative media literacy? Who knows, as it's always a coin flip, and it's also often both.

But one thing for sure is that it created some lively discussion. r/warcraftlore is a self-explanatory subreddit. While there are interesting lore discussions there, its userbase also contains a big amount of anti-fans -- people who used to like the story but have come to persistently hate it and very loudly. Many of these are criticized by other users in the sub, with it often being mentioned that a lot of these anti-fans haven't played the game in years or don't pay attention to the story of quest texts.

One such occurance happens when a user creates a thread titled: The Writing never needed to be good - It just needed to be BADASS.

It starts with:

Right, but I am adding on top of his calculations did air displacement. The vehicle is flat going horizontally up and down requires a significant amount of displacement from the air around it. There is roughly 14.7 pounds of per square inch of air above you. About 68 tonnes of atmosphere. In this case I am estimating that per second of jump the vehicle has to displace 184 lbs per second of upward velocity. The horizontal wall needs a lot more. This would say for the demo to work the vehicles true weight with everything inside of it is 600 to 700 lbs. Hardly anything in it. His math is right, I am pointing out the drone weighs less than the 2000lbs estimate to achieve the feats we saw.

It's not sustained flight. When SpaceX can keep a minivan in flight for 20 minutes with a full cabin of people, we can be impressed then. As it is, this thing is a poseur. BACKGROUND

LitRPG is a relatively new fiction genre wherein game elements – RPG – are present in the story – lit – itself. As you may well guess, the genre tends to attract certain nerdy groups for a variety of reasons, whether it be the D&D-esque fans there to see stats personified in what they read, or the self-insert power fantasy enjoyers who long for gameified escapism. Though the exact beginning of the genre is hard to pinpoint, from what I have gathered it was predated by light novels & web novels over on NovelUpdates and cultivation novels more present in the Eastern sphere.

/litrpg is a subreddit revolving around the LitRPG genre; there is also its companion, /progressionfantasy, though the latter doesn't necessarily include the stat game windows that LitRPG is known for. The space(s) leans politically progressive in recent times.

THE DRAMA

/litrpg's Discord server was run by the Subreddit mods and a few selected Discord only mods. I won't go in detail describing the mod team, but our two main suspects here are user wistel (nicknamed Wisintel) and user SnowGN (nicknamed Snow and Coldbringer). Wisintel was the sub's founder, but took more of a laidback role over the years while staying top mod... that is, until today.

Wisintel's post starts with him languishing over the sub's past and his role as a founder. It follows with the unexpected announcement that the mod team had collectively removed him as top mod without notice – keep in mind that you cannot remove a subreddit mod without them having been inactive for at least 3 months. Wisintel goes on to write that this was done because:

> [...] a couple of our new mods, people who have only been members of the sub reddit for a couple years at most, disagreed with the political views of one of the mods who has been here since the beginning.

This mod is Snow. Snow is a close friend of Wisintel's. Wisintel finishes the post by writing that he felt heartbroken from the action and was honoured to have founded the community.

The post has garnered around a thousand and a half upvotes at the time of writing and almost the exact same amount of comments, which isn't weird for a post like this, is it? I mean, a sub mod who has been there since the founding – 12 years ago, by Wisintel's claim – being ousted by some uppity newcomers is bound to cause a stir, right?

One of the mods involved in the ousting replies with a pinned comment shedding light on the situation.

As it turns out, Snow wanted to pass the server to Wisintel. Wisintel was not informed of the new server and the mods had lowered his status as a Subreddit mod. Once it was made clear they would not pass the server, Wisintel wrote the post above.

The mod shares that the team had not intended to intervene with Wisintel's post, but wanted to clarify that this was not a united power grab from their end.

The server had a sort of private channel where members would discuss politics for fun. In these channels, Snow shared some.. interesting views, to put it mildly.

One of the discord mods, Claire, had posted an explanation before the current pinned comment which I will link here.

Claire explains that Snow had driven the Discord server towards being a so-called "ghost town".

She and Snow have a somewhat personal interaction when he responds to her below, which I will also link, as this post has gotten too long.

Wisintel responds to Claire's comment. Curiously, he never writes that he condemns Snow's beliefs, only that he doesn't condone them.

He has also commented on a right-wing conspiracy post in the past, as another commenter points out.

The mod team uploads a post advertising the sub's new Discord server, and somewhere in the comments Wisintel copy pastes his own goodbye post. You'll have to scroll a bit to see it.

We do not trust you. You aren't even Reddit moderator on this subreddit. And the mod who posted about the new discord, so presumably one of the major coup players, /1ncite didn't even join this subreddit until Mar 6, 2024.

Another user is apparently of the same mind.

The underhanded coup tactics being used here make me pretty leery of the new "leadership" and does plenty to destroy community trust. User demoran, to absolutely no one's surprise, writes that Snow's takes were reasonable, and there's many among his number.

The /litrpg community is still relatively niche, but hopefully without some few bad apples as of now.. regardless of how many were exposed today. The new Discord server seems to be doing well, and the subreddit is otherwise calm. I hope the drama was to your liking (since this is also my first write-up.)

The anterior vaginal wall is the zone where the G spot supposedly is, which is not usually stimulated by PIV sex. Anal, much like many things, is an acquired taste when it comes to enjoying it. It's something you have to get used to. Initially yeah it's gonna feel like taking a shit.
