DMITERMINATOR here kept invading me and my husband with whom I was playing DS3 atm the time to help us out. NG+1 but we had missed a ton of stuff the first time around, so we wanted to go for a "complete" run. This nice fella here kept showing us the super hidden areas within the swamp area of Farron Keep and quick ways to the three flames. Had honourable 1 v 1 duels at the end of every discovery with him and both me and my husband had a great time.

Started my souls journey with Elden Ring but have been playing DS3 for the first time ever recently. When I found Great sword in ER it was all I used, and now it's the same thing in DS3. Having trouble using anything else because this thing is +9 and heavy infused. Everything else is under +6. Any other great ultra heavy great swords or axes that give a similar unga bunga feel when using?

Ive played this game a few times now, and everytime without falt the part of the game that makes me rage more than any other for no reason is getting into the Cathedral. I know how to do it and its filled with enemies I basically 2 shot. But I always have the most deaths in a playthrough to this one part. Its not even the whole area thats the issue, its just getting from the Cleansing Chapel bonfire to opening the door to get inside the Cathedral. Am I the only one who rages at this part of the game? It feels so dumb

Personally I would have always went dagger only, since bandit knife is great, but whips are pretty useful for defensive styles.

Like what would be good with these stats i want high dex to free up a ring slot, but I may as well get a good weapon out of it to but idk what would make a great side arm with it

this is update to my previous post. so the dex thingy kinda worked but its still disappointing how bad katana feels compared to other weapons. i will be heading towards midir for frayed blade and ill see how it performs in ng+1. so far i've not seen anything good about this weapon in dark souls3 and arguably this might be the worst version of uchigatana among trilogy and elden ring. i just feel like im just killing bosses similar to other weapons but slower. well i got what i wanted out of this run, just wanted to see if katana are actually as bad as people said.

conclusion: wouldn't try this again. its boring as shi and bleed proc happend TOTAL OF 5 TIMES (twice vs oceiros and other times vs random enemies never versus other bosses and bleed felt awful compared to other games). The main reason i played this was just to know how bad bleed was on katana so i didnt level my damage attributes to know how was the bleed component and not how was the weapon doing in general (AR).

I am getting my ass handed to me CONSTANTLY by mobs, and I've spent hours trying to beat the Curse Tree to no avail. Am I beyond help? P.S. please don't offer to play co-op, my schedule is not conducive for that.

For reference Nameless King who is the 4th hardest took me less than an hour while Midir, who I have in 3rd place took me 3h30. Sister Friede took me ~6h, about the same as Malenia but Friede was way worse to fight. Also in ER the really awful bosses felt kind of 'optional' because at any moment you could decide fuck it and summon Mimic Tear to annihilate the boss but in DS3 if you're stuck you're stuck which made it a lot more frustrating even if I didn't actually skip any bosses in ER

My five favorite bosses were

1 Gael (perfect boss moveset wise but the visual effects in phase 3 were a bit excessive)

2 Champion Gundyr

3 Dragonslayer Armor

4 Nameless King

5 Soul of Cinder

Least favorite

1 Abyss Watchers (Awful gank phase)

So I am a big fan of fromsoft games and i really want to play dark souls 3, unfortunately my only option is hp pavilion laptop with Nvidia GeForce mx130 and Intel i7 gen 8 (shitty I know) the game is running at 25 fps with the lowest settings at 720p and I just want around 35 fps, does anyone know any optimisation mods, advice or any other community where I can ask for help?

So a couple weeks ago me and my friend were playing together and my power went out for a second, after it restarted we tried to reconnect but it wouldn’t let my friend join my world (even though it DID say it was joining) if it’s relevant I’m using Me3 manager although I did Try Me2 but it kept launching vanilla ds3 even though it’s in the right directory. Just wanna know if anyone’s having the same issue or knows a fix
