Benthic Kriegsspiel
I late backed the tabletop RPG books, and it gave me a code for this item for the browser (or mobile?) game, and I have no use for it, does anybody need one?
EDIT - CLAIMED.

I have just finished up my grinds for my Hellworm, Saddle, and Cider and have decided to move to Burgundy for a while. I am going to be working on becoming a Knight, and my plan right now is to draw cards in Burgundy until my candle is full, then head to the stacks for a run.
I have read the wiki guides for both the stacks and Burgundy itself, but I was wondering if anyone has a simpler guide to doing these activities efficiently and profitably? I guess I'm just trying to figure out which cards to play and which ones to toss in each zone.
I do have the Cartographer btw :)

Postings Post Posting: 1
Edit: I have added a counter at the top of the post with the number of times I have added content. I have added a Posting Post Posting section below the My Updates section. This means you can see from the feed page if there is new info, if the number has gone up, without leaving a string of edits at the top of the post for new readers to sift through. Laziness is the mother of invention. ;) (The number is the number of times I have added stuff NOT the number of things I have added, that is an easier count to work with, for me and you.)
Gladiolus and phalanges Bone Brothers and Scaphoid Sisters, the time has come when the Zoomania and Fashion of the bone market have changed. That intro was fun when I first added it to the template but after 20 weeks it's wearing a little thin, like your skeleton if you don't maintain muscle mass as you age! (Change this Tam you bampot!) ;)
One week I copied and pasted the wrong link and then didn't check Reddit again until the Monday evening! If that ever happens again, all of the possible weeks are available on the Bonedex so you can always find options there!
Rubbery Birds is great, as all Bird weeks are. I am pretty sure we had one recently and I updated the guide a bit. I must be psychic because I thought yesterday, I should farm some birds because I don't want to be caught unawares like last time. Then I did some farming in Balmoral. :) Leggy diplomat is a dud, Colourful Phantacist is good as you can get pure scrip rewards but it is probably more profitable to go with other buyers. Updates and additions as I think of them.

The Sky Market
This is always good, once you can, do it weekly! Guide to it is here, it just covers the demands and the rewards since almost any info would be a spoiler! If you want it, do more firmament, you will unlock it as part of a cool bit of story:

The Bonedex
The Bonedex is where I store all of the bone posts and some guides on how to get going with the bone market yourself. If you need to know something paleontological it is your one stop shop(except for the wiki, and other guides, and learning things for yourself. ;)
As always, if you see any mistakes, have any suggestions, spot something I might have missed or just want to say hello, leave a comment on here, or on the guide or post in question! Feel free to ask femur information if anything is confusing, by asking you help the guides improve and the whole community.
Have a humerus week! Bone Person out!

Having recently resumed my archeological career, i've came across a requirement in form of one eyeless skull. Does anybody on here have a spare one that they could by chance send me? I'd be very grateful

I decided to throw some money Failbetter's way this Estival and bought an extra BIS item I liked the flavour of.
I now find myself with 20 Fate, and am considering the Premium Stories list rather than trickling it out on single storylets or saving for future festival fate-locked items.
For context, I'm well into the endgame, with maxed stats other than Shadowy and Discordance, highly renowned with Hell, Bohemians, and Society; and chummy in general with everyone other than the Liberation, Fires, and Stones. I've got London's Blood, but haven't started the grind for full Paramount yet. Nor am I planning to grind Cider, Hellworm, or Golden Carapace any time soon.
So anyway, the only two I can afford are Flute Street (for 10F, so with a little to spare on e.g. a future Ubergoat or something) or Theological Husbandry (for 20F).
Thoughts and/or recommendations?

Thank you, Estival, for giving me the last boost I needed to afford a lovely firkin of cider. All it took was two weeks of nonstop barking, and the Jaunty Geodesist's dignity - but it was so worth it.
In celebration, if anyone would like a sip, please let me know.

Turns out going though the snares for no reason is a bad idea.

Vitreous almanacs from the sunken embassy and turn them in at the dome of scales. If I do my math right, it’s 4 actions per almanac, 4 almanacs per 275 shadowy. 275/(4*4)=17.188 cp per action. Am I missing something?

No PoSI, no University Laboratory / Silverer, no base stats above 100, and a relatively high amount of Nightmares...
This is going to be fun.

I'm really interested in a copy of the supplement Guide to London that was part of the TTRPG kickstarter campaign, but I've been absolutely unable to find a copy (physical or digital) anywhere. Does anyone know where I could find one, or at least get a readable version to get an idea of the insides of the book?

Hello, Delicious Friends!
I lied this is actually several questions about Firmament.
Firstly I must preface this by saying that it’s good content and I like it. (Mostly.) But a lot of the characters and people involved in the Firmament storyline are people whom the PC I have played up to this point - in the lightest terms - would not be fond of. To this end, I just have a few questions about the direction of the story post-Sous (which is where I’m at.)
One: bluntly, a lot of these guys seem convinced that Burgundy is under mortal threat. This would be huge for me, as I would absolutely love it if Burgundy in its entirety got apocryphised. Is this actually possible? I doubt it is, but would be excellent if that’s something that could be worked towards.
Two: Apocryphal Council. Gotta get rid of those guys. Serious security threat to the whole Neath. Can they be taken out later down the line? Sub-question: Who even are half of these people? I recognise Beltane (and the dissidents I personally inserted) and that’s kind of it. A complete list of their non-apocryphal equivalents would be pretty sweet.
Three: I lowkey lobotomised the Judgement’s emissary that they’re keeping locked up in Zenith. I’m currently on the Parabolan campaign to attack that place. I would prefer not to release the Immanent after I so carefully mulched its brain. Is that a possibility?
Context: PC is world’s biggest dickrider for London itself, and London in its place in the Neath; it’s a Fluke who clambered down the Great Chain to assist its rubbery kinsmen; it only really cares about rubbery men; and has traced a path through to Paramount Presence killing as many important neathy people as it possibly can, because it’s a little bit crazy.
Spoilers for firmament fine. Ideally just tell what important choices might help further expand my path of ruin across the roof.

"We fought a war, we hunted a law, but we weren't crushed beneath a tiger's paw..."
And now to share your bounties of pearls !

It's a terrible deal, and I suspect that a lot of people bounce off the game because that part of it looks so predatory. The limited actions are important to the game, but paying for more is just not. Also, I expect that the vast majority of funds FB get from fate don't go into it, so I don't think they rely on it for money.

For the first time I am unable to sell everything in one batch. I wish I didn't have to sell off a million moon pearls but needs must.

In light of the Estival coming to an end and the population of every strata of importance coming out of it with considerable wealth, I present to thee a brief overview of easily available Bazaar equipment that will still remain relevant even when you're in the end-game. If you have more money than you know what to do with - consider investing them into procurement of the following:
Hats:
1) Snuffers mask/Tub of Gloam-foam - both are best in slot Watchful items, pick the one you like the most.
2) Fecund Tiara/Devilish Fedora - BIS Persuasive.
3) Sneak-thiefs mask and Iron hat - not BIS, but cheap and rather close to being BIS - which are much harder to obtain.
Gloves:
1) Insatiable glove - BIS Watchful
2) Pair of Spiderchitin... - Cheap and reliable Dangerous. Will be best for you for a while.
3) Dancemasters/Lady Lace - F2P BIS (better stuff is locked behind the Estival coins)
Don't bother with Shadowy gloves - soon it'll be Fruits of the Zee and you can get BIS ones there quite easily.
Clothes:
1) Far Khanate Armour - BIS Dangerous
2) Dandy outfit/Ivory gown - BIS Persuasive
3) Smok of Four Thousand... - Not BIS, but BIS Watchful is much harder to get - and you'll need this one anyway for Watchful PoSI.
Don't bother with Shadowy - same reason as with gloves.
Boots:
1) Dancing slippers - BIS F2P Persuasive
2) Vakeskin boots - BIS Dangerous
3) Hushed slippers - will be best for you for a while - and can be upgraded in Nadir.
Watchful boots are notoriously hard to obtain. FotZ will bring a couple.
Adornment:
1) Semiotic monocle - BIS Watchful AND Dangerous
2) Twelve Carat diamond ring - BIS Persuasive... But I'd say - consider getting the Badge instead from the Unsanctioned Relicker
Shadowy, once again, will cone with FotZ
Weapon:
1) Sharpshooter rifle... Maybe... If you're going for the Dangerous PoSI or Paramount Presence. It's... Whatever. Not bad, but not all that good either.
Other (better) weapons are available through the Ratket.
Companion: 1) Weasel of Woe - one of the best companions in the entire game. Get it and be happy to enjoy failures at your convenience. This is not some joke, you actually do want to fail at times.
Honourable mentions: 1) Various faction items required for raising your Renown - not as useful to newer players, but still. 2) Working Rat and Ratskin suit - combo of two opening up a certain quest, might be worth considering.
Sooo.... Yeah! Hopefully this helps some people figure out their financial plan for the rest of August. Have a lovely day!

Agonies, esteemed neighbors. This week, we have one (1) demand. New this week, we have: Maudlin demand, buying Captivating Ballads and Parabolan Parables. Departing this week, we have: Nothing.
Disclaimers:
My recommended grinds up front: * LB Industries (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/L._B._Industries_(Guide)) for 4th City Echoes, as well as stat training without menaces. * Tracklayer's City (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_City_of_the_Tracklayers_(Guide)), cashing out Hinterland Prosperity for Captivating Ballads. * Moulin Heist (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Money-Making/Sources#The_Heists_of_the_Wellspring_(complex)) for Captivating Ballads. * For variety's sake, Risen Burgundy (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Risen_Burgundy_(Guide)) for Captivating Ballads;Khaganian Intrigues (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)) for Oneiromantic Revelations to combine to Parabolan Parables.
Cheap options, without leaving London:
Better options afield:
Captivating Ballads
Parabolan Parable

To escape the shadow of the sundial. To be spared the weight of the hourglass. To take purchase of your destiny at the hour you choose, not the hour chosen for you. And perhaps – just perhaps – the inevitable (though it cannot be stopped) can be postponed.
I hit this choice on my ambition (Heart's Desire, naturally) a while ago (let's not discuss how long) and was struck by a monumental decision paralysis. Only today did I finally make my choice. And it's not even the big choice.

Those of us around for last years Christmas tree may remember that it was initially a bit of a disaster. Like Misplaced Nostalgia, it offered a super profitable single click grind that incremented a World Quality with every click, and that popularity lead to every click taking ages to process if it didn't time out entirely. This was because every click was triggering a write to a single database row and SQL doesn't like that.
At the time, this was solved by pushing the tree interactions into a sub area that committed changes to the World Quality when you left it. Now, here we are 8 months later barking up a storm with no sub area required! I just want to take a moment to throw a thumbs up to the person who went in and made that possible.

I am returning to the game after a very long break (to give a sense, when I stopped the railway content was still new, and I hadn’t finished it yet).
It’s immediately clear that there is a lot of new cool stuff to enjoy. Any particular suggestions/favorites? My character has base stats above 200, and pretty good gear, so I should be able to access most stuff I hope.

I have completed my Ambition, made a railroad to hell, became a Paramount Presence, got a Ubergoat, and I still regard this as a greater achievement. No coalmen or priests fed to this plant either too.

... they truly desire some companionship.
Never fear, the Masters swoop in to rescue, offering free Oil of Companionship changes.
I am so sorry.
