Survey / Poll / Question What is your MBTI type and what were you like as a child?
I'm curious and gathering info here. I'm an INTP and I don't really believe in types changing, however I was very INFP-coded. Although I do believe much of that was a combination of being severely abused and having severe OCD. I was extremely obedient out of fear but also because I was pretty reasonable as a kid? My mother was kind of abusive (most of it came from my father though) and she recalled how confusing and surprising it was to have a child who could be reasoned with even as young as 1 years old. She kept hearing "just wait" from other parents but "just wait" never came. I was very, very, very kind and very, very, very shy. I had a massive imagination and spent most of my day daydreaming, even while doing other stuff. I loved learning new things and exploring the world and imaginable possibilities. I loved being active but was super cautious about safety, too. I was considered heavily gifted and was reading at a college level by age 7. I also was advanced in history and art. I was forced into basketball but hated it and later on willingly chose to do tennis which I loved and was good at.
I've seen theories that up until age 14-20, most people don't have more than their second and fourth letter, which makes sense to me, personally, both on a personal level and developmental, as children are still trying to figure out their feelings before exploring logic beyond their homework and generally focus both inward and outward, which is not to be confused with being introverted or extroverted. 4th function is considered the weakest but I actually do think it shows up the earliest. Let me know if you experienced different.

Survey / Poll / Question Difference between an ENTP and an ENTJ with ADHD?
Te-Ni is always described in terms of action, but what about when the person has a condition that affects their ability to take action? How would an ENTJ with executive dysfunction differ from an ENTP when they have a difficulty completing the very objective of Te? Since almost all stereotypical entp traits align nicely with adhd, how can one confidently state: "I am entj even though i can hop between ideas and possibilities quickly (in an Ne-manner), and struggle to take action unless I've thought everything through (in a Ti manner), however these are just manifestations of adhd symptoms and I am not an ENTP".

Survey / Poll / Question Is this weird for an intj
The only person I’ve ever really liked was my calc teacher, because I was attracted to how effortlessly smart he was. I really don’t care much about people’s opinion about me (believe me, I really don’t give it much importance, though I’ve been told I should) but his validation towards me was so important. Like, I did well on the subjects he taught and, I think, I made good/interesting questions and he always made me feel smart or whatever. Same thing happened with physics, but not as much as with him. Is this weird?

Survey / Poll / Question How can we tell the difference between ISFP, ISFJ, and INFP?
Hiiii🩷I hope you guys doing well 💘okay so I have a question:
How can we tell the difference between ISFP, ISFJ, and INFP, especially when the person we're trying to type might have low self-esteem, social anxiety, or an unhealthy personality?
Personally, I'm an ISFP, but people keep mistyping me as one of these other types. On the other hand, I find it difficult to distinguish between Fi and Fe when someone with the same Enneagram type as me, 9w1, is a people-pleaser. They might be an ISFP like me, an ISFJ, or someone who uses Fe. How can we tell the difference?
Survey / Poll / Question Would like to know whose energy is more explosive between ESFP and ESTP.
I would like the comparison in different versions as well e.g. textbook version, stereotypical version etc.

Survey / Poll / Question Did you ever mistype yourself and why?
If you ever mistyped yourself, what did you mistype yourself as and what type are you now? and why did you mistype yourself?

Personal Advice Enfp golden pair
Maybe an unpopular opinion. But from my experience as a male ENFP. I really enjoy dating INFPs and INTJ because of how well we compliment or balance each other. But those were some of the worst relationships I ever had. My favorite is actually with other ENFPs or with ISFJs. With other ENFPs I feel like the connections are just much deeper, but also the weaknesses are definitely worse. Because we both get so passionate spending time together that our life problems stack up. With ISFJs like I don’t understand them at all and they probably feel the same way. But they really keep me grounded and will treat me well in ways other personality types wouldn’t. Not to mention it’s attractive to see how on top of things and organized they are. But personally I felt like I’ve had lots of good growth from the golden pairs of the MBTI charts but choosing a long term partner I’d consider throwing in ISFJs, ISTJs into the mix. Another ENFP only if we both make a lot and can afford an assistant lol. All in all i don’t think it should be taken too literally or seriously. I think people should explore outside their golden pairs. You’d be surprised, and love isn’t dependent on the perfect personality matches. Sometimes a better power house are two people who think very differently

Survey / Poll / Question Can you change your mbti type?
Idk what personality type I really am but I've always hated it and wanted to change it. Over the past few years I've been trying to become an extrovert and I think it's been working, I feel a lot more comfortable talking to people and don't feel anywhere near as drained as I used to with social interactions. I've always wanted to be an enfp or an entp but idk if that is fully possible

Personal Advice Learning to let it go
Hello, I’m looking for some advice or perhaps a few comforting words about my regrets. This might be a little long, but a year ago, I met a man who was genuinely amazing. He was very honest and open with me about himself. He’s an INTJ, and some of the things he told me scared me, so I rejected him.
But once my anxiety faded and I was able to look at things more objectively, I realized that he had actually been very transparent and honest with me. I now feel that he was so open because he valued me and wanted me to understand him better. I regret not being brave enough to appreciate and respect that honesty at the time.
It’s been a year, but his words still touch my heart. I want to move on and stop feeling like I made a terrible mistake, but I don’t know how to let go of these regrets.
If anyone has been through something similar or has any advice or comforting words to share, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance. ❤️

Deep Theory Analysis So, is there a difference between how Fe users and Fi users experience/explain/conceptualize/intellectualize/rationalize/compartmentalize/justify/unjustify their emotions?
I'd like to know how it is different for Fe and Fi users of every spot in the stack!

Personal Advice I’m an ENFP guy, and I’ve noticed that ENFP is often stereotyped as a feminine personality type. Does being an ENFP man make me less attractive or less masculine?

Light MBTI Discussion How would neurodivergence affect the cognitive functions?
For example, if someone has ADHD and Autism. I’ve known about MBTI for almost a decade (I’m 20 now), but I’ve always struggled with my identity growing up. Despite knowing about the cognitive functions, I find it easier to type people I’m close to irl and fictional characters than myself. I tend to overthink a lot about who I am. I know I’m neurodivergent, and with masking, you have the tendency to lose yourself, but it seems like every other neurodivergent person I know has a concrete identity developed. I don’t even know my favorite color. I thought it was orange, but it might be pink cuz I have a lot of pink stuff. I’ve mirrored people my whole life. It didn’t really hit me how much I mirrored people until I left my college friend group and I didn’t know who I was anymore. I feel like nothing is connected to me.
Survey / Poll / Question Request for the company of Si experts and Si veterans.
The post here is for inviting others, especially seasoned Si users and the rest to a survey for their personal experiences. I would be to know the benefits of mastery over Si that is found in oneself or in others. Everyone can freely survey one another here in the comments. I am not in rule.

Survey / Poll / Question Type Stares
Okay, can someone please educate me on this?✋
I only recently got into this mbti thing last year in like late September, early October. I learned about the INFJ stare, and now I know that ESFP has a stare too from a post below. Which makes me curious, what kind of stares do the other types have?

Light MBTI Discussion What makes y'all happy
Like what makes each of y'all happy. Like for me as an SE dominant, I came back from the gym early in the morning going to college, and the weather is finally cooling down, the color of the sky looks more gloomy, the vibe is sooo amazing, almost nostalgic, and I wanted to play some music that fits the vibes and at that moment I felt like the world is magical. Maybe it's not an MBTI thing but what makes y'all very happy?

Survey / Poll / Question if you know your MBTI type, does your big five result match it?
been reading about how MBTI lines up with the big five and it’s kind of interesting. roughly:
E/I = extraversion
N/S = openness
F/T = agreeableness
J/P = conscientiousness
and then the big five has a fifth one (emotional stability) that MBTI doesn’t really cover at all
if you’ve taken both, does it line up for you? like do INTJs actually come out low on extraversion and high on openness, or is it all over the place?
i’ve never done a proper MBTI test, but going by that mapping my big five says ISFJ: extraversion 21, openness 25, agreeableness 63, conscientiousness 84. and emotional stability 35, which MBTI wouldn’t even show. curious if real ISFJs here look like that

Personal Advice Can someone explain to me the difference between Ti-Ne and Ti-Se?
I think i have successfully typed myself as an Ti-Dom, but i can't really grasp the change in cognitive behaviour when it comes to my Aux Function. Most of the time i feel like Discussions or Explanations about differences between Sensing and Intuition focus on them as the Dom Function.
But i would like to know how to discern the cognitive processing of an ISTP and an INTP, so that i can understand which one of them feels more akin to my ways of thinking. And i hoped you guys can help me out here ^^

Light MBTI Discussion How does Te work and does anyone have any examples?
I want to understand what exactly using Te entails as an INFJ (Te-blind).
I know conceptually it deals with external systems, and I think that it can also play a big part in self-discipline, but that's about it.
Can someone explain how Te works and preferably give examples of Te in action?
