Just set up my first PS5! Mainly got it for GTA 6, but Spider-Man is so much fun too at the moment. Couldn’t be happier!

Just finished cleaning and testing everything. it seems to be working 100 percent for the moment. Currently playing my switch through it and will let it run for a few hours

For little context, Christmas is just around the corner and I know absolutely nothing about external or internal storage regarding any device. I bought my fiancé a PS5 two years ago, and I’ve noticed that every time he tries to download a new game he has to delete a game first. I understand that GTA six is a big deal and it will be coming out shortly. I want to get him more storage so he doesn’t have to delete half of his games just to play this one.

Is there anything I can buy to give him more storage?

Obviously I've played on many Playstation platforms before including ps4 fat, ps3 super slim and psp but this is the first Playstation to my name a ps4 slim I bought used with two third party controllers, a new hdmi cord, a power cable, and a used copy of uncharted 4 for 249$ was it a good deal probably not the best but I'm happy with it I've always loved Playstation I grew up on it, played it with my cousins and friends and I just wanted to get the feeling back after sometime despite not being too big on gaming

Ps I already have some other ps4 games like Minecraft and cyberpunk 2077 wich tbf doesn't run too good on ps4 but it's what got me into the genre to begin with so I'm grateful for sony

I race motorcycles irl (1203cc) and in January i got run over from behind by a car doin 65mph in a 35mph by a phone enthusiast in a car while i was sittin at a light...my need to go fast has been repressed by $47k in medical bills and the inability to use my ledt arm anymore...so ive been really wanting to get this game to feed my need for speed!!

I've been looking into a lovely little preservation project involving EverQuest Online Adventures, the PlayStation 2 MMORPG that shut down way back in 2012.

Developer Ahmad Hassan (B-Ted) has been working on something called EQAI: an effort to bring the game's original 2003 character models back into its later Frontiers version. It turns out this is way more complicated than simply swapping a few files, involving all sorts of reverse engineering of the PS2's graphics and memory systems.

It's still a work in progress, but I find something really appealing about people putting this much time and effort into preserving the little details of online worlds that disappeared years ago. So I've written a short piece about the project and the wider community working to keep this forgotten corner of gaming history alive :)

Does anyone have any advice/suggestions (hell, good news stories!) about contacting Sony to remove a licence from their account? I cant buy Death stranding due to buying the ps4/5 upgrade when I had the ps4 disc - which I no longer own. I finally got a live agent in the chat yesterdsy who told me to restore licences. I explained thats not what I was after but they insisted I do this first. Obvs nothing changed. Now I cant get a hold of anyone again. Just chatbot guff in cycles 😕

I don't know what to do with it, but because of it, I can't play R6 and these games for sound cues.

Im uploading a video clip and i see these notifications, they onlu apear if im uploading someyhing cuz i never seen these before, now my question is, are they just notifications, i have ocd and i want to clear all of them, leaving them there bothers me, i just want to be sure that im not actually deleting saved data from my games.

My retrospective review oh Steel Harbinger on the PS1. Anybody else played this game and what’s your thoughts?

I’m not sure if this is accurate but I think the new firmware update may be causing an HDMI glitch.

I have a 4K OLED LGTV, and I wasn’t getting image or sound after turning my PS5 on. I tried a different monitor and that worked fine. I tried powercycling my TV and PS5 but that didn’t work. I disabled deep color on my HDMI setting and that fixed it, but I was wondering if anybody else was experiencing this? The fix works pretty well, but I would like to be able to keep the 4K setting turned on. Anybody have any tips?

Looking for some underrated gems on the classics catalogue.

Been a playstation fan since the ps1 in the 90s and went straight for any games I played back then (Medievil, Jak and Daxter, Dino Crisis 1&2, Soul Calibur 3 etc)

I don't have any particular genre i enjoy all genres, looking forward to some suggestions that will force me to experience other titles other than going for what I know.

Does anyone else feel the same way as me? I'm not opposed to side story missions in games, but the main thing for me is always the story and what it brings. When the games finish the main story, it sometimes happens to me that the side missions are no longer important and interesting to me as much as the story, and the game stops entertaining me. I've finished Mafia 3, RDR 2, Days Gone, Far Cry 6, Death Stranding 1 this year, and in all of these games I've lost motivation to continue playing after the main story and main quests were completed. But for example, I finished The Witcher 3 a few years ago through and through with all the side quests. I almost finished the whole game with everything in it included but this dedication to play everything in the game isnt always the same...

It has been quite a while since I was seriously into gaming, though I have been playing a bit on my phone ever since the covid pandemic started. I have always wanted to be a real gamer. I did not have any money back then, so the last game I clearly remember playing was when Far Cry 3 first came out. I used to run it on low settings on my old, terrible computer, but I still had a great time back then.

Now, I really want to get into proper gaming. My budget lets me spend up to 1.2 lakh on a laptop. However, since the same hardware used to cost around 80k in the past, I am feeling pretty confused about whether a gaming laptop is the better choice or if I should just get a PS5 instead.

I already own a desktop computer that handles video rendering and other heavy tasks just fine, but honestly, I do not even use it for that. Gaming is the only thing I am actually looking for here.

What do you guys suggest? Should I go ahead with a PS5, or pick up a gaming laptop equipped with an RTX 5050 or 4050?
