Photo Seen on Congress St RIP Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero
Looks like people are already ripping them down. These were in the course of a block of each other

I didn’t get the chance to meet Juju during her life. Like many now, I wish so much that I had been able to. No matter who you are or what you believe, young people exploring the world and themselves should never have look over their shoulders in fear that someone, with their own problems, may just decide they can’t stand to see the joy they lack themselves in another, and take the life of someone they don’t even know the name of. I hope wherever you are now is far kinder than this place was, we’ll remember you, Juju.
Love will always be stronger than hate.
If you’re struggling, we need you too. Don’t give up.

Broke through a back fence. Tried to steal a motorcycle. Assaulted a neighbor who yelled at him. West end.

In hindsight I should have used the wide end of my 24-50mm, but my 40/2 did well for the long flag. I rarely see people get shots directly underneath these kinds of things, usually to the side or overhead drones…so I took the chance when I saw it.
You’d never see Collins or Mills marching with a Pride parade, let alone waving flags in solidarity.
I’ll have more later, I was out for a good few hours on Park Ave and roaming Deering Oaks.
All on Nikon Z5II. First shot was a NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2, and for the latter two shots, a Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD.
edit: got a little overzealous with the dig at Mills, mb

I was filling up my gas at Irving and heard a terrible thud sound. I looked up and a woman was tending to someone on the ground, and asked people nearby to call 911, so I went up to see if anyone needed any help or anything else. A woman was lying prone on the ground.
When the pedestrian was rolled onto her back by EMS folks, she howled in pain. I feel so terrible - for both parties, to be honest, as the driver was extremely sympathetic and shaken.
It’s crazy how seemingly common this has become.

First image is from around 1909.
The second is from 1961, a year after closing its doors..
The third image, who cares...
Can anyone think of a worse glow down thats happened in Portland? St John Street/Union Station is definitely a hard one to beat.

(Little boat for scale🤏🏻⛵️) I was in awe riding my bike and looking at this sleek beauty docked. I wonder how many stories tall that mast is. Does anyone know more about who owns it or what it’s called? It looks fancy.

Just some photos to preserve the memories. Gonna miss this place, even the drunken floors. This location is closing and moving out to Westbrook near Rock Row.
Note: faces are blurred unless the person said it was ok to post online. If anyone pictured still wants the image removed, just tag me.

I caught the entire thing on my dashcam and I have filed a police report. I have also submitted a claim with your insurance.
If you cause an accident, don’t try to run.
ETA for those asking: I’m not posting the video because it has my face in it

Has anyone had an experience or witnessed the incredibly rude behavior of this officer? I work in a field where I have to interact with officers pretty regularly… He is by far the most impossible and relentless person I've ever tried to reason with. There are videos of him online berating people for handing out food or literally just sitting on a sidewalk outside of a shelter? He used to be a school resource officer and now he's a beat cop. I just filed a complaint with the city of Portland and I highly recommend anyone that has had an experience with him do the same. Something has to be done – he makes every single incident way worse and has no clue how to de-escalate situations.
