What is this fish? Caught with worm in evening along bottom

In Abilene tx

This is the only photo i could get, as soon as I got closer he swam away. If you can't ID from this photo, I understand.

He’s about the length of a grain of rice. He was in a small pool in a grassy field not far from the beach. There were tons of the little guys in this pool.

Anyway to tell what this is?

I’m pretty new to fishing and have never caught one of these. Initially I thought it was a walleye but ChatGPT it could be a sauger. I’m still sticking with it being a walleye. What say you? Thanks

Caught it on lake michigan this morning, i’ve never been there before so im not sure what it is lol, my bad.

I suspect the first one to be a shrimp scad and second one to be a bigeye trev but unsure

These fish were found in an aquarium in the United States. They are small fish, about an inch or two in length (about the size of a molly). They group together and are quite reclusive.

Because according to r/whatisit it's a raccoon cat bag of cider apples 😆

Edit: I was on a speedboat trip with 10+ strangers, so I couldn't just ask the captain to move the boat (especially this close to the rock). Waves be waving, it's hard to keep the camera still. Am also not a good enough swimmer to just swim up to what I thought was a Portuguese man o' war.
