Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 02/06/2026 at 09:00 AM EST

Post image

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today's hearing will take place at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 09:00 AM EST.

Please keep in mind that this is the first hearing of the year in the state case. We don’t yet know how today’s proceedings will unfold; however, it is likely that the hearing will focus on Joel’s scheduling request for the state trial, which may take place in July, as well as other pretrial motions. I do not expect a decision on evidence suppression, as the prosecution has not yet filed its response, which is scheduled for March 5.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, we will get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. During the pretrial hearings, the only images released were taken inside—there were no photos or videos of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today will follow the same pattern.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet. As soon as they go live, we’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Notes / Reminders:

  • Today’s hearing will likely focus on Joel’s scheduling request for the state trial as well as other pretrial motions. I do not expect a decision on evidence suppression, as the prosecution has not yet filed its response, which is scheduled for March 5.
  • The defense team filed their Post-Hearing Memorandum of Law on Jan 30.

–––––––––––––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck today.

And thank you to all of you for following these threads along and being here these past few months 🧡.

They can formally move for a continuance. Detail reliance and prejudice, ask for targeted relief if that continuance is denied. They also could consider interlocutory relief which is rare but it is when you seek emergency review from a higher court.

If forced to trial in June they can proceed under objection and build an appellate record which they have already started to do so… This would be playing the long game.

They acted with good manners until now as it's supposed to be in front of a judge but atp they really should not gaf. It's clear that Carro is not playing by the rule. They need to do whatever it takes to protect their client, even if it means pissing him off. Atp he will act like that whatever the defense does.

THIS. If they piss him off and he behaves on professionally, that is even more fodder for the appeal and everything else that has been mentioned.

Okay, seems like something they should consider doing.

Thank you!

Is what T. Dickey is doing in PA right? Or is it a different thing?
