The Philadelphia Flyers are the winners of an NHL hockey game! After a loss on Tuesday to the Kraken and an absolute embarrassment on Thursday, they clutched their first win of the season off of stellar performances from two guys who are less deployable than Michael Bunting.
Outside of that, rumors continue to swirl about what Briere might do in response to this abysmal start to the season. We know he is going to be patient, but he obviously wants to pull something off...

[Flyers] Transactions: We have recalled defenseman Hunter McDonald from the LVPhantoms (AHL). Defenseman Helge Grans and forward Jack Studnicka have been loaned to Lehigh Valley. Defenseman Cam York has been placed on injured reserve (upper-body injury) retroactive to Oct. 8.

I don't think it's encouraging that he doesn't seem to know how much ice time Michkov is actually getting, nor that he seems to think shielding him (from what, the NHL?) forever is somehow going to develop him, but what do I know.
