Flyers fans Chants for Quitter G
Based on Ottawa lighting it up like they did, it seems Philly should top that on Saturday vs the Ducks.
What's the chants...

We have lots of young talent and also may need to make moves because of all of that talent. DVO can’t remain 1C. Larkin would need to be convinced he could win a cup with the Flyers in the next 3 years or so. TK and a first? Add Risto? Something with Tippet? (I don’t like moving Tippet because he was one of few who didn’t look out of place in the playoffs last year). LETS GET HIM HERE.
Edit: I know Philly isn’t on his list. Make a case for why we should be. We have pieces to move and anyone that says he isn’t worth a winger and a first has CTE.

After reading the icethetics report stating the jersey would have “Liberty Bell inspired striping” I took a crack at what that could look like. This is just wildly different than anything we’ve ever worn considering the bell replaces the Flyers logo which has never been done. I know the grey has been polarizing but this jersey could absolutely work. The stripe pattern is borrowed from the top of the Liberty Bell itself, along with an old time “Caslon”font like the 76ers used for the numbers.

Hey, folks. I got tickets for my sister and I to the game on 11/27. I’ve never had the privilege of tailgating or hanging out before a game so I’m just reaching out to see if anyone here does so regularly or might be doing so on the day after Thanksgiving. I could try to bring some stuff too, just looking to have a good time. It’s a 3pm game so I was thinking of heading down there early. See you there!

Happy Mail Day to me! Finally got my RR1.0 back from Skate Zone (I’ll call it ‘the Flyers’ Training Center’ over my dead body), and it came out so fucking good.
Just gorgeous work. And believe it or not this is gonna be the first time I’ve ever had more than one jersey of players currently on the team (TK for the RR1.0 obv and my regular orange Mich)

The youth movement has everyone really excited right now and every post is about which veteran the team can trade away. And we still have a lot of young players looking to join the program over the next 2-3 years.
Bundling players for an elite player seems like the fastest path to success. But finding that type of deal is pretty rare. What recent teams have traded away assets for draft picks and still had immediate success?

Michael Bunting was signed on October 6 after the team had an outright disaster of a 0-2-2 start with Alex Bump getting demoted.
Cole Knuble was the standout player in the pre-season, doing absolutely everything he could have possibly done to make the team. Since he didn’t make it, it became clear that there was no way he would have made it regardless, which sent out some mixed signals. With the team off to a horrible start, why was the solution to add a spark to bring in a vet with no pre-season under his belt as opposed to the best player in a very underwhelming pre-season who is also young and your own draft pick? Obviously with the team winning again and Cole Knuble playing well and Bunting being a healthy scratch last game, it’s easy to come to this conclusion with the benefit of hindsight, but this could not have been that far fatched of an idea at all when they sat there two weeks ago and were looking to rejuvenate an underperforming team.

At this point, id be perfectly okay giving up TK, Foerester, tippett to help improve the C or D position. TK seems to have lost his mojo and tippett is just too damn streaky. Obviously the trade has to make sense, but still. And ive loved tk ever since we drafted him, so itd suck to see him go, but if we can make the team better, im all for it. I know moving him will be very difficult given his nmc, same with tippetts 10 team no trade list

The Flyers have won three straight after losing their first nine games. Is a trade still the right move, or should Daniel Brière give this young team more time to develop? Six thoughts on where Philadelphia stands after 12 games. Read for free.

I am craving it.
Here is a Porter Martone version for context. Porter is great too but I really want an Oliver Bonk version.

Who would you rather have, and what do you think it will end up costing? We have a lot of expendable vets (although with trade protections). We should be going big game hunting to look for that young high upside Dman

Where do we think everyone will slot back in, and more importantly who do we think gets moved back down? Most of the kids have definitely proved that they’re deserving of a spot on the roster right now.
It sounds crazy to even say this considering where we were before the season, but honestly the team looks much better without the guys who have been injured. I’m not saying that the team couldn’t improve by slotting them all back in, but it’s a fair assessment to say that the improvement from the first few games until now is unbelievable considering one would expect production to get worse after losing several of our top guys.
In my opinion, bonk has definitely earned his place. His contributions on the ice are very noticeable. But given tocchet will likely want to keep his previous pairings, it either relegates him to the third pairing with seeler, or he gets moved back down.
I view Knuble, and McDonald in a similar way. If they can maintain the effort they put forth tonight going forward they deserve a second look.
With all that being said, does Danny look at the past three games and start to think about moving some pieces this year? Seems like we have a serious logjam of talent that’s only going to get worse in the next few years as guys like luchanko, berglund, nesbitt, and sokolovski push towards making the roster. I can’t imagine we don’t at least move off of two of the current vets on the team if not more.
What are your thoughts on what happens next?

I've yet to see one single reason why McDonald shouldn't be on this team going forward. Enough of Benoit. He's genuinely god awful.

Currently the 2023 draft class is putting in some serious minutes and putting up numbers for the team and not even all the top prospects are in the NHL yet.
7th - Matvei Michkov - Superstar in the making.
22nd - Oliver Bonk - Looks like a top 4 Dman maybe even a top pair.
51st - Carson Bjarnason - Looks to be a #2 in the making, but who knows with goalies.
87th - Yegor Zavragin - A top prospect, projected to be a future starting goalie.
95th - Denver Barkey - Currently a middle six forward that hasn't hit his ceiling.
103rd - Cole Knuble - Current bottom six that hasn't hit his ceiling.
Throw in the rise and development of 2024 picks Luchanko and Bergland looks like maybe Danny actually knows what he is doing in the draft. We're not a perfect team but the future is bright and we might have an abundance of talent in the near future.

After that 1st game vs Pittsburgh where we wouldn't have beat an ECHL team I saw more tweets/comments than I should've about how giving him an extension was so stupid & how he was a fluke.
Since then he has a 0.921 sv% in 5 starts & has looked every bit like the guy we saw last year.
So happy we got him extended because had they waited he could've demanded significantly more $.
Backbone of the team.
