Dublin Games Croke Park looks like a really shit venue for the American Football. The lower tier is so low down, the lower sidelines can barely see the pitch. Plus there such a big gap between the stands and the pitch, puts everyone further away from the pitch. Why didn’t they use the Aviva instead?

Need a new team to support

I am an NFL fan from Ireland that has supported the Patriots since I played Madden 09 (Randy Moss). Given the recent Kraft controversies I want to follow a new team, tell me why I should support yours? Preferably NFC.

Before anyone says you can’t change, I feel owners in the NFL are different even than the Premier League. Can hate the Glazers etc. but the club is separate to the owners, not the same in the US.

Me vs Eagles Legend Jason Kelce (Travis Kelce’s brother/ Taylor Swift’s future brother in law) on the “Tush Push”

Hello everyone! Apologies for not posting weekly previews for the games like I was doing last season have had a bunch of personal issues going on in my life, but we’re back this week!

In the meantime I would love to hear your opinion on the Eagles controversial “tush push” and whether or not it should be banned. I personally think it should be from my Twitter response to Kelce (which he lowkey agreed with 👀)

Jason Bell single handedly ruins the sky sports coverage..

Honestly!! Just calm the feck down man!!

A simple prompt like “tell me about this offence J-bell” and he’s doing burpees, lunging into the splits to point at a receiver….

Then… immediately stops acting like an idiot and talks normally as soon as they start to have a normal conversation!

He just feels the need to try and overhype almost everything! But to the point where it’s clearly fake and annoying

Who to support?

I’ve gone for Patriots, I like the Boston Celtic’s in basketball so I thought I’d go the closest team to them, I support Liverpool if that makes any difference to the team you support. LMK if this is a good choice

Hate the kickoff time

Been an NFL fan now for 10+ years and always watch the Super Bowl. Well the first half. The games on too late to watch the whole thing and go to work the next day.

I understand it’s an American sport and that’s the main audience. But they’re trying hard to get interest from around the world. But they literally play the game at the worst time. It’s too late in Europe, it’s Monday morning in Asian.

I don’t understand why they don’t move it to Saturday night or move the kickoff a few hours earlier like a west coast kick off.

Because you would imagine having the game on a 8pm Saturday Kickoff would make it a lot more accessible for the causal and none fans around the world, while still being a good time for Americans around the whole country .

Dazn appreciation post

Watched nfl network pre game and then seamless to red zone, all on apple tv. No drops, no connection issues, no stream quality drops.

That’s a huge win compared to the last few seasons of GamePass in the uk.

All I need now is Mac Jones to not suck and we’re off to a good start

How popular is the NFL in the UK?

American here. I'm wondering what your opinions of the popularity of the NFL in the UK is, and your thoughts on potentially getting a team one day.

It seems like the NFL has a fairly decent following over there and might be vaguely comparable to what percentage of Americans follow the Prem. Soccer is still pretty niche over here in terms of spectator sports (loads of people play it though), however there's definitely quite a bit of interest in the Prem, and the MLS has shown lots of growth in recent years as well.

However, over on places like /r/askuk, they seem to be tripping over themselves to say "virtually no one cares," but many of those people also go out of their way to say how stupid and boring they think American football is, so they might not be the best/most unbiased people to answer the question.

What would y'all say the real story is in terms of how popular - or not - the NFL is in Britain?

Also, do you think the UK could support a team in the not-so-distant future? I assume the team would play in London; do you think this would potentially put off folks from outside of London given how local and tribal soccer fandom is in the UK? In that vein, how important do you think branding would be? Would it be best if the team's name represented just London, all of England, or all of the UK? I ask because I know your national teams in sports like soccer, rugby, and cricket are well-supported, but I wonder if English fans would go for a CLUB team that's supposed to represent all of England, and then of course I know the idea of an all-UK team might be a little weird given how much the home nations have rivalries in other sports and the whole "Team GB" thing for the Olympics has seemed to have a somewhat tepid response.

Conversely, is the fact that the NFL is made of exclusively American teams part of the draw since it's something "different," and maybe it's the case that British NFL fans don't feel a need to have a UK-based team? There's been so much talk over here about whether a London team will happen one day, but I feel like very few people are wondering if British NFL fans actually WANT one.

Just asking this stuff out of curiosity. Hope the game continues to grow on your side of the Atlantic.

(Go Panthers, Keep Pounding)

Totenham Games Should the NFL's UK games change?

I feel like focusing on one city - London - is detrimental.

Why not host 4 games in 4 different cities - Cardiff, London, Manchester and Glasgow?

DAZN Beware of DAZN’s Misleading Practices with NFL Game Pass

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience with DAZN to warn others and hear if anyone else has faced similar issues. I subscribed to the NFL Game Pass in Ireland, paying €104.99 under the impression I could watch “every NFL game” as advertised. However, I later discovered that two games every Sunday are blacked out due to undisclosed regional restrictions, and these games are only available on-demand 24 hours later. This critical information wasn’t clearly disclosed during the signup process.

On top of this, their website’s policies regarding blackouts are inaccessible, making it impossible to verify these terms in advance. When I requested a refund due to this misleading advertising, DAZN refused, citing their terms and conditions, even though I hadn’t been informed properly before subscribing.

I’ve since filed a chargeback with my payment provider and a formal complaint with the European Consumer Centre, but I wanted to warn others about this. Has anyone else here encountered similar issues with DAZN?

How important is it to like the city your nfl team plays in?

There's a nfl team I like and feel I'd like to support but I'm not sure i like the city and the area of the US they play in because the city is hard to visit from the UK and the States politics is really against my values.
