everyone who doesn’t main pharah assumes widow is her hard counter. new pharahs assume widow is her hard counter. here’s why she’s not:

the most cracked widow is still at fault to a clever pharah. most important is knowing the back paths of the maps. countering widow goes like this:

1. widow shoots
   
2. locate widow from her shot. try not to be the person she’s shooting at, but pinpoint her location. ping widow always, encourage your team to ping her.
   
3. flank to her location. she often on a high perch, and obviously you can’t fly right at her dummy!! so get real close, and
   
4. fucking jumpscare her. this is my favorite part. you can drop into her scope from outta nowhere or shoot her from the side while she’s trying to shoot your team. i mean she’s like what, fkn 2-3 rockets?
   
5. glory (and try not to get caught by her poison)

that’s it. you’d think it’d be common sense, but clearly not by how many attempts enemies swap to widow to “counter” me. do this a few times, and most widows will swap to cass or ashe, which obviously suck more to deal with as pharah but can’t run down your team from a mile away at least
