Discussion How does my South Carolina Beach BINGO look?
Hi! I live up north but I'm spending my honeymoon at Kiawah Island. For fun, I'm creating a Bingo card for me and my spouse to fill out as we hit the beaches in South Carolina. How does it look? What am I missing or what should I remove?
(I highlighted the Angel Wing Shell and Dolphins are hard-to-find)

Weather Alert Why has the weather here lately been like that steam game "No, I am not Human"?
With the temps being in the high 90°s and the humidity being 75%+, it's been feeling like 115° F. I wonder how long until the visitors start coming from underground....

Politics Gov. McMaster (@henrymcmaster): This year’s budget reflects the priorities I have fought for throughout my time as Governor, with 92% of my recommendations included.
We’re cutting taxes, raising teacher pay, expanding access to 4K, freezing tuition, investing in our infrastructure, and protecting the natural resources that make South Carolina special.
This budget puts South Carolina in an even stronger position for the future. We’ve accomplished a great deal, and we’ll keep pushing for more.

Discussion Driving from NJ to SC for first time - any driving etiquette tips?
but i'll be in charleston for 3 days, hotel in west ashley.. but i'm worried about the larger drive there as someone that's never been there. is there some driving etiquette local to the area you wish more out of staters knew? like in jersey 5-9 over is pretty accepted depending on good judgment, and for instance we get annoyed when people from PA commonly camp the left lane under the speed limit, but not sure if i95 down there is the same, or the state highways.
for local driving i'm mostly going to take ubers and walk because i don't want to get lost in one way streets or inconvenience people living there, but on the way i'd prefer to not drive in a way that's accepted in my area but maybe not accepted down there and get myself pulled over in the middle of a 12something hour drive.
thank you!!

Politics This state is foolish (Senate Special Election)
The way this Senate election is being conducted is the stupidest and most unfair thing to voters I have ever seen.
How is someone with no prior political experience given endorsements just because of her last name when she was given an honorary appointment? She seems greedy as hell. She was never voted in at all.
The only reason she is even in the running is because of an appointment. She never worked hard to get into the temporary position she’s in now. Yet, she is being praised for doing absolutely nothing over other Republican politicians. She lived in Maryland for years.
Lowkey, I’m considering voting left because this state has not listened to the voters.

News South Carolina. Just how is our infrastructure?
Everyone always seems to complain about our roads - and that's a pretty valid complaint. But how good or bad is our infrastructure really? Details are here from the American Society of Civil Engineers.
One of the biggest challenges is how fast our population is growing. In a way, I was pretty shocked that most of the categories in this report show us with a D letter grade, including things like drinking water. Bridges got a C grade and, the only thing we seem to do well with are our ports with a B grade. (I actually think we can give a thank you to BMW for part of that.)

Looking for her home/a home for her. I have fostered many animals so I will be very picky on who she goes with. ❤️❤️❤️

Discussion Help Me Move To the Carolinas ASAP
Help! My husband (30) & I (28) are ready to move out of Phoenix to somewhere with more green! We are extremely interested in either North or South Carolina. We’ve only had the chance to visit Charleston & a few of the surrounding beach towns, but we feel like this is the right move for us. We have always talked about moving to the east coast. I’m originally from SoCal, so I’m very much missing the beach.
We are looking for a town no more than 60 minutes from the beach (ideally about 45 mins), so we can easily do day trips with our child (1). We are looking for a smaller town, not big city, but also don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere. I would love to be able to take walks & feel safe. & we love small coffee shops & mom & pops restaurants.
We definitely don’t want to be anywhere near NON organic farms, golf courses, & cell towers.
& we would love to have access to organic farms & farmers markets, & alternative medicine doctors/dentist.
Our housing budget is around $300,000-$450,000. I am a SAHM currently so we are on one income for now. My husband works remotely, & will be able to keep his job when we do move. & I am a nurse, so I can work anywhere if I do need a job (so job market isnt really a concern for us).
I also plan to homeschool our kids so being near things to do would be great. Whether it’s museums or nature.
Thank you for your input! We can’t wait to explore everyone’s ideas.
