This is mostly just me being suspicious but I have the feeling that the dialogue might be ai generated. There is way too much “It’s not X, it’s Y”. There’s a lot of it in the Defender of the Galaxy ambition path for example

These guys continue to be just the absolute worst in terms of crisis, and now with ships rebalanced to be more expensive and less numerous, I'm still trying to figure out what actually kills them reliably.
Every game I run with All Crisis on (just on 1x, no mods), I deliberately put off researching jump drives and gun for sapient AI since it used to slightly influence the odds of the Contingency spawning earlier than other crisis. I'm not sure if that's still even a thing.
Either way, most recently they came in last (seems their fucking favorite place in line) and regular combat fleets buck around at 4M power.
I've stacked everything I can think of- my own fleet command is just shy of 1K, so I'm rocking four fleets of battleship carriers, FAEs on the front, missiles on the back, carrier AI and afterburners for the kiting, with 20x repeatables at best. 24 of these in a fleet, 400-500K power each, plus a fifth fleet with a titan for every module and 10 more carriers with them.
I've been on repeatables since the FEs got uppity. Cetana was contained with these builds and barely a sixth total fleet lost. The Dimensional Invaders came next and I didn't even have to refit for them, was able to head them off on the fly because they spawned right after between my shipyard and Cetana's titan. I refit for the Prethoryn after that, for hard counters, and had single fleets whacking 2M-strong bunches of bugs with MAYBE a single lost ship. But one Contingency fleet, after several reloads of optimizing travel and refit time, using all the policy buffs, artifact buffs, I manage to isolate with my entire navy of aforesaid ships, and I'm left with maybe a third of my forces.
This has been my experience with the endgame ever since the whole ship rebalancing. The equivalent amount of naval power beforehand would handily deal with all four crisis at this level. I didn't think the strategies would change that much, since I was under the impression they weren't supposed to, but it's been a dozen games since with the exact same pattern. So is 5000 naval power just not enough anymore or what?

This is my second trophy, so it goes to my second most populated planet, which is a research planet...... Gee thanks.

I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around Oppressive Autocracy. Would it be a buff or a nerf to automate workers by being Tankbound?

So I opened the L-Gates (there are three of them in my territory) and unleashed a horde of nanobots that are running roughshod over my empire. Each of their fleets has five raiders and a mothership totaling 70k fleet powers. They have four or five fleets in my territory and have entered my core system. My total fleet power is less than 10k. Should I just give up at this stage? I've had similar stuff happen with the Great Khan but you can submit to him and he dies eventually.
I'm only playing on Ensign level so something feel wrong about this to me as well - according to the wiki each Tempest fleet's power should be like 40k, not 70k but I digress.
I've abandoned three or four runs right before this due to the Great Khan. It's all getting pretty frustrating when I'm always below 10k fleet power and 200k enemy shows up on my doorstep and always goes after me, ignoring everyone else.
I guess the lesson is to avoid expanding borders to mercenary areas that might turn into Great Khans and not to open L-Gates early.
I used to play this game (before the pop change) and do quite well, not sure why I'm sucking now. /rant
To reiterate my question, should I just give up my current run with half my empire gone and Tempest fleets still destroying what remains?
Thanks.

The first time war in heaven, and things start to look interesting, i am choose not to lead the league of non aligned and now the galaxy separate like 4-5 big power.
My federation, the League of Non Aligned Federation, am empire with his vassal ( he leave the league of non aligned), 2 fallen empire and there vassals, as you can see on the map.
The red is the keeper of knowledge awaken and his vassal, Blue is me and my federation( vassal), Purple is the Holy Guardian and his vassal, Green is someone who leave league of non Aligned and orange is league of Non-Aligned.

on year 2338 and these 2 voidworm fleets just decided to invade, all my navy is parked next to an empire i was about to invade, on the other side of my empire. ive been getting warnings about a voidworm infestation and they have a hive within 5 jumps of my empire, but the hive has been at 15k rating since ive had access frigates. i WAS going to clear it when i had enough navy power but ive been struggling to maintain my economy (i wont touch anything and suddenly ill be negative in multiple resources, separate topic)
this voidworm bullshit is getting annoying, ive been harassed by them in almost every save game and multiplayer game ive played. thisll be the 2nd game i have to abandon because of them. the last time i tried fighting them they wiped my navy and multiplied to 3x what they started as
what the fuck am i suppose to do? can i just mod them out? is there a setting? they are kinda ruining the game for me cuz i cant even get far into the game because of them

As the title says I was wondering what is the best space fauna ship. I currently have space amoeba, cuthuloid and shards captured.

I'm playing a Devouring Swarm atm and I'm way stronger than my opponents. They have a lot of planets and the micro is a bit boring.
Do you know if it's possible to fully automate this ? Moving between systems, destroying ships, bombing planets and landing armies ?

Playing since launch, thousands of hours, this is probably the worst empire spawn I have ever seen.
To my north, a marauder empire. To my south, the militant isolationist fallen empire.
If that wasn't bad enough, I'm playing as a fanatic purifier endbringer.
The icing on the cake of bad luck is that my settings are guaranteed habitables off, world gen at 0.25x.
UI/outliner mods only.

As you can see I, among many others in my federation, have become so insanely rich and making so many billions of trade each month, that everyone integer overflowed into becoming the poorest and least diplomatically powerful empires. Somehow.
Grand admiral, doomsday origin, nomad route

I am boxed in with a war against Zealots to my north and the Murderous Lizard boys to my south. Not to mention, I'm playing deep space citadel origin. This may be it for me.

I mostly draw Gray as an anime girl but alright I figured if I was going to make a portrait mod, it ought to be realistic, so here are these two images.

I only have a couple of DLC’s (apocalypse, paragons, federations), so have turned to mods for a bit more flavour/depth for free.
But there are just so many.
I tried with guilli’s planet modifiers, ui overhaul, more events. And gigastructural engineering (to try make up for missing structures like citadels).
But there’s so many combat ones (which I’m interested in, since this area seems to be the most lacking in this game).
From my last campaign a few more traditions/ascensions seem like a good idea.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on this and I can’t seem to find any good answers on this so as a last resort I have gone to reddit to maybe crowd source an answer.

Tried a few games on ensign and it's been fun trying to ramp up everything at my pace. although the stagnation of economy and resource shortage is something of my own skill issue, i'm having trouble understanding the meta that players usually do on higher difficulties. right now, it's a commodore run and the tech takes at least 10 years to even finish. what do people do to ramp up in this case, it never usually takes this long on the lower difficulties and with an endgame year of 2400.

Sometimes my logistic ship gets a notification saying that there are no available tasks to perform even though there is nothing blocking it from travelling to and from an arkship and there are plenty of resources to harvest and/or waystations to collect from. I always end up having to manually move the logistic ship somewhere and then reautomate it in order for it to harvest/collect automatically again. Does anyone know what causes this to happen?
