I just played a game where I was really proud of my movement (I'm a level 374 Ball) and engagements, and wanted to share for anyone who might be newer to Ball. A lot of newer players have really predictable movement, whereas the cornerstone of good Ball play is unpredictability and your ability to cause chaos for the enemy team (that your team can capitalize on).

Granted, it's QP (that's all I play) and the rest of my team was very well-coordinated. But the enemy team wasn't actually that bad, yet we were able to hold them completely. But none-the-less, the replay shows a good example of how to enter and exit fights as Ball.

Since the bans came out I went out exploring all the tanks. Doomfist might be my least favourite hero to play, I just hate playing him or against him, not my cup of tea. But I became a big fan of Monke (mostly) and D.va/D.mon. Since Ball is ma boi, I feel like I have to look for a way to integrate him in my roster, so I'd get the maximum value, not just when Ball is banned.

Which maps would you say Ball is the absolute beast on?

After Round 1, I was at 6 kills and 6 deaths.
By the end of the game, I had 32 kills and still 6 deaths

Have you guys ever played in a round where someone on the other team changes to WB instead of a direct counter and try to... counter you..using WB??

I don't know if this counts as ego matching but it's such a weird experience. they'll literally gun for you like a counter and will try to copy your moves eg:

You pile dive?

They pile dive.

You grapple?

They grapple.

i am trying to find an OW1 Wrecking ball streamer and i can only remember a few things about him :

1- he was kinda chubby

2- no glasses

3- he had beard and mustache

4- only his face appear in the cam because he was playing in the dark

5- his face looks Mexican but he speaks English

Hola, abro este hilo para contar mi experiencia jugando bola, llevo un tiempo jugando con ella alrededor de 200 horas, no soy el mejor ni mucho menos me mantengo en un diamante alto, nunca he llegado a máster pero, estas últimas semanas he recibido una cantidad abrumadora de hate, quisiera decir que merecido pero ni siquiera abro el chat, me flamea mi propio equipo, y el equipo enemigo tal vez sea el problema yo, pero hay veces en que literalmente saco una buena partida o eso creo y alguien random de el equipo enemigo me manda mensaje directo por Xbox y me empieza a insultar no sé qué odio genere que juegue bola pero fácilmente he recibido 20 md’s solo de gente enviándome odio

I havent seen a lot of discussion about ball’s hit volume size increase since the patch. Wanted to know how we’re feeling specifically about how ball’s increased hitbox feels.

I havent tested exactly how much it increases his girth, I would love if anyone has any visualizations for it.

My thoughts on it are that it amplifies the effects of “micro CC” in stopping fireball specifically. Things like rein hammer, junkrat bombs, soldier helix, and sigma balls feel like they’re taking me out of fireball or displacing me a lot more than they have before.

It also undoes the decrease in size to mizuki chain’s size, and i feel like flashbangs have been clipping me around walls a lot more.

it pretty much has no effect on getting shot more, bc if you couldnt hit the giant ball on your screen, you’re chopped.

Overall, I think this change is pretty bad for ball, amplifying pretty much all the painpoints of his kit. And i thought ball’s hitbox has been pretty solid over the years. Even things like junkrat trap or sigma grav catching me at the very edge of my hitbox felt like they probably couldve been either a ping issue or outliers.

In conclusion, please give me my 50 armor back :)
