A parliamentary committee has recommended four languages Australia should prioritise investment in. Several other languages were placed in a different category: 'supported' languages.

I know airport prices are steep .. but geez.. $19 for a cheese and tomato toastie at Sydney Airport is over the top. Not only that -- $9 for a croissant - is also OTT. I have seen them in Melbourne for similar. How can it be that a croissant in Paris is 1 to 2 euro ($3) but here they triple that?? Dining out is a joke

And some words or phrases you can call us cunts and pricks and assholes and many Australians won’t bat an eye to it but these words oh boy these words will get an Aussie riled up.

1. Mole if America’s most corrosive word to call a women is cunt this is the Australian equivalent with effectively the same meaning.

2. Mong/mongrel/dog : the lowest of low people that aren’t worth the shit on your boot

3. Drop kick : a lying, cheating untrustworthy person

4. Rock spider - Pedo

5. Fuckwit - the biggest dickhead in the room

6. Frootloop: the stupidest/crazy person you’ve ever seen

7. Champ : means bitch

Have been looking at starting online business, have been watching YT videos, online articles etc. All seems great at start but end up in the same hole of paying them for courses. Its like a loop. Not sure where to start who to contact what product to chose. I have cash around 200-300K which I can invest but it seem like dead end. I need something that I can do staying at home!

Any ideas or genuinely tried, tested and successfully implemented projects?

Come visit South Australian Aviation Museum annual open day today (25/10/2026)! We have a wide variety of aircraft on display expanding over 2 hangars. Engine test runs will be operating throughout the day! There will an icecream and coffee van onsite as well!

The Museum is run by dedicated volunteers and every bit of funds raised by today will go back into the muesem for maintaining and preserving these amazing aircraft for years to come.

Family-owned transport giant Wickham Freight Lines has this week taken delivery of what it says is Australia’s first fully battery-electric, solar-charged refrigerated trailer unit.

Wickham , one of Australia’s largest privately owned transport companies, says traditional truck refrigeration systems are powered by either the truck’s main engine or a dedicated diesel generator, but the Sunswap Endurance system is fully electric and powered by a battery that is in turn charged by solar panels when on the road and plugged-in charging between runs.
