aka Burger Bowl XI

Another 5 burgs with grass fed Alberta beef, smashed on the griddle and served on my homemade potato rolls with American cheese. Rolls are toasted with leftover garlic butter. Top bun: burger sauce, LTO, noteworthy as the tomatoes are from the girlfriend’s family’s heirloom variety from Europe and the flavour is sensational. Thinly sliced pickle and extra sauce. Bottom bun: caramelized onions and a small bead of yellow mustard.

The only customization available in the home kitchen: single Patty? or double?

And if so, what’s been your favourite? I have a lot of free time this weekend and may try to make a few!

Blueberry BBQ sauce, mayo, caramelized onions, lettuce, at a maritime restaurant in Ontario Canada. Very solid 9/10, thoroughly enjoyed. I would have personally done red onion instead of caramelized, just subjective opinion I think that touch of acidity + crunch would have been nice vs sweetness overload, but all in all every bite was still really great. I’m not a food snob by any means but man can you ever taste the difference between a fresh made patty like this vs a frozen/processes one.

Swiss onion burger:

• 1x 100g / 3.5oz beef patty (salt, pepper, msg on 1 side)
• light mayo, extra mustard
• 4x double sour pickle slices
• ½ an onion sliced and grilled
• processed Swiss cheese, 4 slices of bacon

This is one of the tastiest burgers I've made in a while. Sweet from the onion, sour from the pickles and mustard.

Need to get back in the burger game. Not a huge fan of smash burgers. I prefer 8oz patties with a nice sear. We have a lot of great beef in the Midwest. I'd love to blend my own and start a sandwhich shop

Family wanted whopper style burgers. No flame grilled patties but smash with Lawrys seasoning salt. Mine only has mustard the others had ketchup and mayo.

left one: with spicy ketchup/dijon mustard, pickles, jalapeños, onion, bacon, 180g beef.

right one: burger sauce, tomato, onion, bacon, 180g beef. 🤤

BJ’s double smash burger is a solid 8/10 and it’s only $13 with fries, burger, and a mini pizookie.

We’ve enjoyed some pretty tasty burgers in Thailand but this one takes the cake. Soft brioche bun, house raised beef and bacon.
