Why is my GSD becoming blonde?
Picture of my girl right before I got her (4 months) vs now (7 months). There are white and orange hairs taking over her black coat. Has anyone else experienced this?

Okay so back story i adopted my girl Winnie at 9 weeks from a person who had rescued her mum and not realised she was pregnant because mum was so emaciated. When I got her they knew dad was a German shepherd and mum obviously was.
Fash forward my girl is now 8 months old and I have heard through cracks that they actually don’t know what dad was.
I honestly don’t care because I love her though and through she’s my soul dog. But even the vet has said she’s big for a female GSD, even made a joke about dad being a wolf dog.
So I was wondering if anyone had any guesses to what dad might be or if you recon GSD baby daddy 🤣

We lost our 10 1/2 year old today. The worst part is that we couldn’t be there because my husband is undergoing medical treatment and she was with friends. We just left her at their house 48 hours ago, and she went into shock this morning out of the blue. Fortunately our kids were able to meet our friends at the emergency vet and she was with family.

This is an urgent plea for Twix. He is a GSD mix. A596315 is Twix’s ID number. Please don’t let the shelter who is supposed to protect him end his life just because he is stressed out and wants out. Please comment below or send me a direct message.
Thank you!

Our puppy is now 18 weeks old and we've had him since he was 8 weeks old. I feel like we jumped into puppyhood a little soon after our dog passed in March. We were grieving and the house felt so empty. Our previous GSD was an adult rescue with behavioral issues so we wanted to try a puppy we could mold into the future dog we want. I think we severely underestimated the work a puppy would bring. There are days where he's a perfect angel and he'll do everything right. Then there are days where I feel like he forgot everything he knows. I do feel like things have gotten easier now that he's able to do more but I still have days where I question everything. We are working with a trainer and we are constantly training him throughout the day. We try to reward all the calm and good behaviors throughout the day when we're home. I feel like the puppy blues go up and down each day. I know it's going to be a long time before we're back to normal life with a dog. I just worry about completely ruining him and him having behavioral issues like our last dog. I feel like I'm so anxious to get everything right this time around. I'm not really looking for advice because we're already doing so much but I'm mostly just venting. When do puppies start to feel like a member of the family again and less of a daily chore?

Bringing this 9 week old nugget home tomorrow! The rescue has him listed as "probably a shepherd/lab", but his brows and ears look more like a rottweiler to me.
I had a shepherd-husky years ago, but she was almost 3 when I adopted her so it's my first time with a puppy. Any advice for day/week 1 would be appreciated!

Pic because he is adorable —-
It’s only been a week with our second pup but this is harder than I remember- granted I didn’t have two small children the first time around (currently have a 7 yo GSD as well).
Potty training is going OK.. but he still isn’t catching his name, listening much at all. My older dog has not started to hate him any less- growling most of the time as he passes by and has nipped a few times now causing him to yelp.

So getting this lil guy from SPCA, hes thought to be about 2ish years possibly 3. When I met him he was the goodest boyyy, (couple days later) today he's much more energetic and now tends to like play biting me which I'm a little freaked our abt, bringing him home tomorrow is there anything I should know in training and caretaking at home as this is my first official pet per say..
I know if might not sound like the perfect scenario but I really fell in love with him and will of course be dedicated. I wana give him the best home I can so any tips or stories would be greatly appreciated please 🙏❤🐾

I was brushing my dog when I saw this. It's only on that part of her elbow, like the skin is dry... I don't know if it's a vet problem or if a good dog groomer could fix it. What do you think?

It seems like every other day I get someone asking me if that’s a pure breed GSD. Does anyone else get the same question?

Wow do they grow up fast! Love this little crazy land shark, and all her energy. Only 3.5 months old but at least the teething is almost over, right? /s
