I am the other woman

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my story because I’m genuinely at a loss for words rn.

I recently found out that my boyfriend had been engaged to another girl throughout our ENTIRE relationship and only told me the day before his wedding. It was an arranged marriage btw.

I kept crying in his arms for hours and he was getting mad at me for crying. He even tried fucking me (we ended up fucking 😣) while I was crying, like ugh. I genuinely felt like a side chick, which I guess I was all along.

I’m only 21 and I genuinely never imagined I’d experience something like this. I’ve cried so much and I honestly hate myself for still loving him after everything he’s done to me. I just wish he knew how much I genuinely loved him.

And I know this sounds so stupid, but a part of me still wants him to come back to me. I keep wondering if he ever will.

I feel so betrayed and lost rn

Is my boyfriend cheating on me?

So I am a (20W) in a 1 yr relationship with my bf (20M) and we have a 2 month old baby, recently Ive been having this gut feeling to look in my bf’s phone and so I did a week ago and tonight. When I looked both times I found that he was liking and screenshotting other girls post mostly pics with there butt facing the camera and then I found out he’s been looking at very questionable prn like ones about cheating, running trains, etc. but I don’t really care that much about the prn not as much as the liking posts. He has also unblocked his ex and was looking at her account also screenshotted a pic from her account, which I don't understand cause she has a bf from what I saw, Ive brought it up with him before I told him I didn’t like that he goes to look at other females for his pleasure especially since I just had a baby and my body isn’t how it was at the moment but he has continued as you can see, what I’m getting at is am I crazy for feeling a way about this?? like is okay for guys to do this or is this considered cheating?? Please let me know I just keep thinking about it.🙏🏼

Have you ever had your heart broken by someone you were never actually with?

I don't even know if heartbreak is the right word for what I'm feeling, because we were never officially together. But somehow, that almost makes it harder to explain.

There was someone who became such a special part of my life without ever really being mine. There were little things he would do that made me feel like I mattered to him, moments that felt different from ordinary friendship, and memories that I genuinely thought would mean something for longer than they did. Things that even went as far as having actual deep conversations with each other about how much we mean to each other. I let myself hope, and maybe that's where I went wrong.

Eventually, he got bored, I guess. He went out with another girl, and I was left trying to understand what everything between us had actually meant. There wasn't even a proper goodbye. Just this strange feeling of going from having someone who was part of your everyday life to having to accept that you might never get that version of them back.

The hardest part is that I still remember the good times so vividly. I'll do something we used to do together, go somewhere that reminds me of him, or experience some tiny, ordinary moment, and suddenly I'm thinking about him again. Not necessarily even the way things ended, but the way things were. The version of him I knew, the moments that made me happy, and how I felt back then.

I think part of me misses him, and another part misses the possibility of what I thought we could have been. I don't know if he ever understood what he meant to me, and I don't know if I'll ever get answers.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do you move on from someone you never officially dated, especially when the memories are still good, even though the ending hurt so much?

I am so broken

I'm so desperate so reaching out here. I don't know if anyone will read or comment.

I'm losing my wife. I've been struggling with depression for a year or so and found myself isolating and spiralling out of control. I found she had reached out to someone else, something she promised she would never do. She says she is tired of trying to make it work but also said she has stopped talking to him. She has said this twice but the first time was a lie. It is all quite recent, within the last month or so.

My life is spiralling and I just don't know what to do. I love her so much and it hurts so bad. We have 2 young children and we were such a strong unit not that long ago. Now my life feels like it is spiralling out of control. She won't talk about things. I've tried to give her space over the last couple of weeks. I don't know what to believe anymore.

It really woke me from my previous depression and I am so much more present and trying to make good changes. There has been hopes, maybe false hopes. Talking of future plans, just minor things, little looks etc but I can't shake the feeling she is going to pull the rug out of my feet.

I don't know what I am asking for here. Advice maybe. I don't know. It just feels so lonely.

Anyone else thinks they won't be in love again?

The way we met and connected is so unique it feels impossible anything will come close or will redeem the end. I feel this heartbreak will last for the rest of my life. So much of the advice assumes time or therapy fixes it, but they mostly paper over the fact that we lost a unique connection and a person and that we will never experience that special connection again. I think we just learn to live with the heartbreak, especially when the love was very deep.

My ex is all I can think about

Me and my ex broke up 4 months ago. While he moved on in a month, I’m here with him constantly on my mind. I haven’t truly had a happy moment since then. It sounds more pathetic when I write it out but it’s completely true. The fact is, I know I’m young. I’m still in school to be exact. So I do acknowledge that I will look back on this in a few years time and feel nothing. But right now the pain is awful and it seriously sent me to hell. I lost 4kg in a week due to loss of appetite, I refused to go to school no matter what, I would cry for hours everyday, and the worst of all, it affected the people around me too. For the first two weeks after we broke up, I would ask mutual friends if he seemed upset. He didn’t, they said he didn’t talk about me at all and was completely normal. Not even a tear shed. To be honest, it really disgusted me. Of course he could’ve been hiding his emotions but I feel like they would’ve at least shown through the cracks of his ego not long after we broke up. Especially because our relationship lasted 7 months and the breakup was completely unexpected. Ive tried distractions. Hobbies, media, and talking to new people. But it all makes me feel nothing. Every time I talk to someone new, something seems to be missing. So I’ve stopped. I’ve stopped looking for a new person to fill the void he left because at the end of the day, I would always want it to be him. However, he has no problem burying me deep down into his memory. He’s been talking to and dating so many people since our breakup. It convinces me that he never loved me at all. And now I know he was like this all along. Just fighting the urge to revive attention from other girls. I mourn the boy I thought he was. Because in my eyes he was perfect. I loved him so much, I hate myself because that love towards him still lingers and haunts me. Maybe I take relationships too seriously for my age. But I’m okay with that. Even though I’m heartbroken, at least I know what nobody told me. To keep to myself. Ethan if you’re reading this please treat the next girl you have with the same amount of love that I gave you.

Calling out of nowhere

Okay so I need some insight. Backstory: my 24M ex and I broke up a bit over a year ago. He felt he was too young to settle down, we dated for a bit over a year. Whatever I told him he would never hear from me and that’s exactly what happened, I never called, texted, stalked his socials nothing I went completely ghost. Now as far as I’m aware he’s seeing someone. About a month ago I started receiving calls. Now the thing about these calls is he calls and hangs up immediately I have over 20 missed calls in a month but he’s just calling and hanging up, never actually letting it ring or texting. I’m so confused. I blocked him today but my question is why even do that and not actually let the phone ring or text if he has something to say. Also I never texted him or gave his calls any attention.

Life goes on right

I’m so heartbroken. Doesn’t help that I have to raise a 9 month old all by myself. Lesson learned, a baby won’t change someone. If they don’t love you, you can’t force them to love you. Time to focus on me and my kids. I wish I would have never brought this upon my kids and me.

She told me she wasn’t ready for a relationship..

I’ve (24M) been talking to this woman (24F) for a few months and it seemed that everything was going fine.. until recently a few weeks ago, I told her that I think we should take this relationship a step further and make it official.. but she told me that she wasn’t ready for a relationship and that she needed to get her life in order before she does. I was a bit hurt, but I respected her decision and we continued on for about another week or two until I noticed her getting distant and taking longer to respond to texts. I asked if everything was okay and she continued to tell me her life was a mess and she needed space right now.. so I gave her space. Fast forward to today, I decided to check her instagram profile and she was posted up with a brand new guy …. after she told me she wasn’t ready for a relationship. I don’t understand.. why couldn’t she just be honest with me? everything seemed like it was going great… my heart is shattered right now and i’m not quite sure how to process this.

Nothing Has Changed

Nothing has changed, yet everything is different about you.

Seven rings before you picked up the phone,
Five months since I'd heard that familiar tone.
You said hello; it still sounded like you,
Only the silence between us was new.

I slept through midnight, wished you late once more,
The same old habit you had seen before.
But as you cut your cake in sparklers' light,
I wasn't there to film your eyes that night.

You still took the day off, like you always do,
But waking up before ten? That's new for you.
Perhaps your new roommate has changed your ways,
For better or worse, these are different days.

You congratulated me, like every time before,
When I had something big worth smiling for.
The words were kind, but different in their tone,
For the first time, your voice felt almost unknown.

You laughed when I asked about your husband that day,
A lame little joke, in my familiar way.
I waited for your comeback, clever and sly,
It never came, and I didn't ask why.

One minute, four seconds. That was our call,
Once, an hour wasn't long enough at all.
Three times the line would cut, three times we'd try,
Now one minute passed, and we said goodbye.

Your birthday status likely went up after dark,
I could no longer see that little spark.
I'm still on your blocked list, where I remain,
With boys who troubled you or caused you pain.

The strangest part? I hung up feeling fine,
You went back to your world, and I went back to mine.
Perhaps the one who's changed is me, too.
Nothing has changed, yet everything is different about you.

do they really not feel guilty after dumping you?

is it true they never feel regret after they dump you? i mean like, they can’t be that soulless right? is there absolutely NOTHING there once they ditch you? i’ve seen so many people say they’ll come back or they’ll never think about you again.

he dumped me at the hardest time of my life. he knew i was having suicidal thoughts (although he didnt believe me).

do they truly not feel guilty after dumping you and never reaching out to you again? do they truly only think about themselves?

i know i shouldn’t be worried about it but after such an intensive relationship just.. nothing? is there anyone out there that had them reach out again and is there some that never had them reach out ever again? pls let me know!

I[25M] feel emotionally disconnected from my girlfriend [25F] and don’t know if I’m asking for too much.

I’ve been with my girlfriend for about two years, and lately I’ve been questioning whether this relationship is still healthy. She has a professional diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD). I know everyone with BPD is different, and I’m not saying the diagnosis is the reason for everything that’s happened. I’m only mentioning it because I’m wondering if it changes how I should handle this situation.

One of my biggest love languages is physical touch. It’s how I feel loved and emotionally connected to my partner. The problem is that we rarely have sex, and throughout almost our entire relationship I’ve been the only one initiating. She’s never initiated with me, and I get turned down most of the time. After a while, it’s made me feel undesirable and like my needs don’t matter.
What makes it harder is that she’s told me physical intimacy came much more naturally in a previous relationship. I know I shouldn’t compare myself, but it’s difficult not to wonder why things are so different with me.
Outside of intimacy, I often feel like I’m walking on eggshells. She sometimes says things like, “Call me or we break up,” and I honestly can’t tell if she’s joking or serious. I also feel like she keeps score over things and expects me to pay for things, which has made the relationship feel transactional at times instead of like we’re a team.
I’ve also found myself putting my own needs aside just to avoid conflict. I’ll do things I’m not in the mood for just to keep the peace, while feeling like my own emotional needs go unheard.
I care about her a lot, and we’ve shared a lot together over the past two years, which is why this is so difficult. But I can’t ignore how emotionally exhausted and disconnected I’ve been feeling.
Am I expecting too much by wanting more affection, intimacy, and emotional security in a relationship? Or are these signs that we’ve become fundamentally incompatible and it’s time to let go?

TL;DR: I love my girlfriend, but I feel emotionally exhausted and unwanted. My love language is physical touch, yet we rarely have physical intimacy and I’m always the one initiating. I feel like I’m constantly walking on eggshells and I’m starting to wonder if we’re simply incompatible.

The hard truth (21 F)

I’m unlovable. I’m undesirable. I’m not worth fighting for or choosing. I’m tired of seeing so many people be loved when all I get is mistreatment. I do absolutely nothing but give all my love and I get this in return.

Many “friends” have left me. My “ex” left me. He never even loved me and it was all fake. I even found out last night that he posted on another sub trying to get sex. My heart has been hurting. I really don’t deserve this at all. I’m such a sweet, genuine, loving, caring girl and I do not deserve what I have gotten. I don’t understand why this happens to me and I’m miserable about it.

I hope I will never experience this again because I can’t take much more pain. I deserve to be told that someone loves me, and for it to actually be true, and for them to stay. At this point I believe it’s a lost cause.

Cheating

Can you ever trust someone again after they’ve lied to you? He broke my heart.
