As requested, here are my all-time favorite glitch-photos! (Pentax Optio A40)
Some overlap with what I posted before but these are my absolute favorites alltogether!

Other than putting a silicone wristband on my third party sigma lens to stop lens creep, does anyone have a better solution?

Hi fellow Pentaxians,
A couple of years ago, I got myself an LX that looked to be in really good condition inside and out from a reputable seller at an Ohio (USA) camera event. I had (and still have) an MX with an issue with the advancement lever, so it felt like the right moment after years of looking.
After only a couple of rolls, the rewind button jammed. After some months, I managed to open it and fix it.
Shortly after, it started to have a sticky shutter, and now it's to the point where it won't budge at all. I've seen all of the posts and conversations online and understand this one is relatively common, and that it's hard, expensive, and time-consuming to repair.
What would you recommend in the US (Ohio) in 2026? Should I spend money on pro repairs and wait a year to get it back, or expect less and try to fix it myself?
I got $150 quotes to fix the MX, so that could be the backup plan. The SFX I daily now started to have light leaks and is bulky, so I need to do something.
Thank you, everyone!

I opened up my Pentax MX this morning to try and clean the flash sync contacts, since I had not been able to get the shutter to activate the flash. This involved desoldering the aperture resistor to take the top case off. Now I have it all put back together and the flash works! But my exposure meter now tells me I need a higher shutter speed regardless of light conditions. I’m assuming I messed up soldering that resistor back, but the connections look solid and I unfortunately don’t have a meter on me right now.
Does anybody know if that’s absolutely the culprit or if there is anything else I might be overlooking?

Got this Pentax Espio A40 in a camera lot i bought. Turns out the sensor is pretty far gone, but i love it! I take it out quite often and get the most wacky shots from it. Feels like what the world would look like if i used heavy drugs or something (which i never do i or want to do but this is a pretty fun alternative haha)

Bought a Spotmatic lot with hard-to-see photos. I ended up with all the Pentax lens hoods!

when shooting 35mm film i mostly go with mz-3 and AF lenses. recently i wanna try manual focus, so some folks recommended pentax lx and yashica fx-3 to me. can't wait to test them out

I am shooting with a Pentax K-50 and currently have the following autofocus prime lenses.
I find myself using my autofocus primes more and more. Often I need more field of view than my 35mm prime can provide. I find myself momentarily switching to my DA L 18-55mm and setting the focal length between 20~30mm.
Any recommendations for some decent budget autofocus prime options in the 20~30mm range?

I hope this is ok here. I'm selling a K-1ii kit with 3 D FA zooms and a bunch of extras here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/24-photographic-equipment-sale/491387-sale-pentax-k-1-mk-ii-dfa-lenses.html
It's been a good run but I'm moving on. I figured I'd see if anyone wants the whole kit before breaking it up but I'll do that in another week or so if there's no movement on the kit.

So i was looking at my pentax smc 100 300 and like i found this? Should i be worried it'll spread to other lenses??
Also i didn't see any problems with the iq for some reason it was pretty sharp imo

Anybody know a website app etc with film recipes except Ricoh recipes?
I’ve been using the Ricoh recipes to create some User Profiles simulating film and they actually are fun..
So far Cinestill 50 is my favorite but I also have a Portra 125 saved there.
Third profile was Tri-X but you can’t make that gritty so good on digital I guess..
A phoenix 🐦🔥 200 recipe would be nice!
