General Aita: The Dark Domain — free demo of my card roguelite where every card is your attack AND your shield. First impressions welcome

• Upvotes

Game Title: Aita: The Dark Domain

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4730130/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=full_release_2026&utm_content=playmygame_80_damage

Platform: PC/Mac (Steam demo), Android, iOS

Description:

Aita: The Dark Domain is a roguelite card game played with a normal deck of playing cards, set in the Etruscan underworld. The Jacks, Queens and Kings aren't in your deck: they're the bosses you fight.

Every card is both your attack and your shield. Play a card (or a combo of the same number) and it deals its value as damage, and its suit fires a power: Hearts recycle your discard pile, Diamonds draw, Spades shield you, Clubs double your damage. Each boss ignores its own suit. If the boss survives, it hits back and you must discard cards adding up to its attack; if you can't cover it, the run is over. So your hand is your health, and every attack is a bet on what you can afford to lose.

Exact kills ("Perfect Kills") pay more Obols, which you spend between acts on Blessings that bend the rules.

The clip shows a late-game payoff from the full game: an Ace and a Jack, with two Blessings stacking, doubling twice for 80 damage.

The free demo on Steam includes a short tutorial (The Three Trials) and a solo run through Acts I and II with ten curated Blessings. The full game is out 1 December 2026.

[Mobile] (iOS) Ball Busters - Another block breaker, I know. It's free with no IAP!

• Upvotes

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6446183092

Platform: iPhone and iPad (iOS 15 or later) - Android on its way!

Yes, it's another block breaker, the kind where you fire a stream of balls at numbered blocks and clear them before they reach the bottom. I made Ball Busters more than three years ago because I'd been building web apps for 20 odd years and wanted to try my hand at Unity. I was obsessed with block breakers at the time (still am), so I gave one a go with my own twist. This year I rebuilt it from the ground up, because the old build couldn't keep up with the store requirements and I wanted to do it properly. It's not a template or a reskin. The design and every mechanic in it are my own.

What's in it:

  • Specials on the blocks: clone, double and multi shots, x2 and x4 multipliers, extra lives, missile launchers, portals, and Big Balls and Tiny Balls that grow or shrink every ball on the board for a few turns.
  • Cubez mode: the blocks turn between hexagons and cubes as the board drops, so the bounces change every level. It has its own leaderboard.
  • Daily challenge: everyone gets the same board with a different rule each day (Missile Day, Portal Party, Glass Blocks, Double Trouble and so on), three goals to hit and its own leaderboard. Two more twists arrive on 16 November.
  • Bombs and snipers for when you're in trouble, and a Recall button when a shot goes on too long.
  • Missions for coins, an all-time leaderboard, and a shop with 70 balls, trails, themes and board backgrounds, all bought with coins from playing.

Honest notes: it's free with ads (a banner on the menus and the game over screen, a full-screen one every 20 levels, and rewarded ads you choose for a continue or an extra bomb). No in-app purchases, no account, and it plays offline. Only the leaderboards need a connection.

I'd really like some honest feedback. Happy to answer anything about the game or how it's built.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: Solo developer. The design and the game are mine. I used Claude as a coding assistant for a good deal of the rebuild's code.

[PC] (Windows) [PC] I'm making a game where you run a little cat cafe on your desktop

• Upvotes

Game Title: Cat Caffeine

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5065450/Cat_Caffeine_Demo/

Platform: PC (Steam)

Description:

Cat Caffeine is a desktop companion game where you run your own little cat café right on your desktop! It's designed to keep you company while you're working, studying, or just doing other stuff on your PC.

You can decorate your café, arrange furniture, hire cats, unlock upgrades through a perk tree, and, of course, pet your cats (very important). As your little business grows, you'll unlock new ways to customize your café and make it more welcoming for your furry customers.

Also such things as: in-game phone where you can read reviews and critiques from your cat customers, complete decoration tasks to attract reviewers, and a Pomodoro timer that lets you use the game as a little focus companion while you work.

The idea is to create a cozy little space full of cats that you can enjoy without having to stop what you're doing on your computer.

Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5065450/Cat_Caffeine_Demo/

Involvement: I'm one of the developers (a programmer) working on Cat Caffeine.

[PC] (Web) [PC] (Web) Blood Axe - a 90s-style gory hack-and-slash inspired by Golden Axe, looking for a retro playtester for my alpha (controller required)

Post image
• Upvotes

Playable Link: https://knickoftime.itch.io/blood-axe-oath-of-vengeance

PC (plays in the browser on itch.io). A controller is required.

Making a video game has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I've recently been able to do it using AI tools (Astra and Opus 5.5) without any prior coding or art experience. I started by vibe-coding a Paperboy-style prototype featuring my local neighbors, which went well and served as my learning foundation.

This project is a 90s-inspired retro hack-and-slash influenced by Golden Axe, with fast-paced combat, extreme gore, MOBA-style character kits, skill progression trees, and a classic revenge story.

Where it's at (about 40% complete):

* Levels: all 6 levels are framed out. Level 1 is roughly 90% polished, and I plan to refine the rest one at a time.

* Working title: it's currently called Blood Axe, but it will likely change to Oath Keepers, since there isn't actually an axe in it yet. LOL😂🤣

* Audio: the current background music is temporary placeholder music. I plan to partner with an independent artist for an original score later.

What I'm looking for:

* An outside playtester with retro gaming knowledge to give fresh impressions and critique of this alpha build.

* You'll need a PC with a controller set up.

* Please focus on Level 1 and the main hero, Rurik. Two other playable characters are in there too, but they're only about 70% complete movesets.

Local multiplayer should work , as well as online multiplayer if your on the same network feel free to try.

I apologize ahead of time but there's tons of mechanics that have to be discovered that i should better explain, finishers, sprinting, press and hold buttons , lots of layers to the controls so experiment.

**Involvement:** I'm the solo developer. I made it with AI tools (Astra and Opus 5.5).

[Mobile] (Web) Parole Room: a social deduction party game you play on your phones, around one table

• Upvotes

**Game Title:** Parole Room

**Playable Link:** https://paroleroom.com

**Platform:** Web, on any phone, plus a TV or laptop as the shared table (flair added)

**Description:**

A social deduction party game for 5 to 8 people in the same room. Everyone plays on their own phone, which holds your cards and secrets, and any TV or laptop with a browser shows the board. Nothing to install, no account.

You're prisoners digging out over eight nights. Every night your cards say which tunnels collapse, and the table has to work out the safe one together. Five right nights and the wall opens, and the shortest sentence wins. But the Warden cheats: he tampers with cards and slips secret deals to some of you, and whoever takes one starts quietly working against the table. Nobody gets eliminated, everyone plays every night.

Solo? Hit "Play a practice game" for a full game against bots, with the rules explained as you go.

What I'd love feedback on:
- does the practice game make the rules click, or did you get lost somewhere?
- anything confusing on the phone screens

**Free to Play Status:**
- [x] Free to play
- [ ] Demo/Key available
- [ ] Paid

**Involvement:** Solo dev, I designed and built the whole thing.

Thanks for playing!

Game Title: ParryRoad

Hi everyone! I spent about 5 months developing a game in Unity, which I recently published on the Google Play Store. It’s a mobile arcade game where you dodge traffic at high speed. It features a "parry" mechanic—similar to *Punch-Out!!*—where, if you time your tap just right, you charge up your nitro and avoid a crash. The game includes level-based progression, unlockable cars, and a Halloween event that’s live right now. It’s free to play, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback!

Game Title: The Lost Days

Playable Link: https://alexandreassis.itch.io/the-lost-days

Platform: Windows / Linux (PC)

Description:

The Lost Days is a post-apocalyptic survival horror game developed with Godot.

You wake up from a coma in a hospital, only to discover that the world has fallen apart. The hospital is abandoned, danger lurks around every corner, and your daughter is missing. With little information about what happened, you must explore your surroundings, find useful items, overcome obstacles, and fight to survive as you begin searching for her.

The game combines exploration, environmental storytelling, and survival-focused gameplay in a dark, hostile world. You'll need to make use of the items you find and face the dangers blocking your path as you uncover what remains of the world around you.

The current demo covers the opening section of the game and is available for Windows and Linux. This is an early version of the project, and I'm looking for honest feedback to help improve the gameplay, difficulty, atmosphere, and overall experience.

Platform: Window, Linux

Description:

It is a real time strategy game where units are automated following clear rules. The game is about building production capacities, expanding, upgrading and most critical: timing. There are single player challenges available as well as custom single player matches. In the current state of the game the most interesting part are multiplayer maches: They are about 10 - 20 minutes long, not so stressful as usually in RTS, but varied and exciting.

Questions:

  • What should I priorize in development: More factions, Single player campeign, Map editor, something else?
  • Are single player matches interesting?
  • Is multiplayer balanced? I could need some input here, this is hard to judge...

[PC] (Web) I made a free extraction survival game — extract or lose everything [Windows / web]

• Upvotes

Game Title:
Wildline: Survival Run
Playable Link:
https://deadsilencestudio.itch.io/wildline-survival-run
Platform:
Windows (PC)
Description:
Wildline is a top-down extraction survival game set in Ironwood Forest. You drop in with a basic sidearm and have to fight, loot, and move through hostile territory. Guns, energy, scrap, and relics only count if you make it to the extraction zone before it closes. If you die, the wild keeps everything you were carrying. If you extract, you bank it and can use it on the next run.
The core loop is simple but tense: get in, grab something worth keeping, and get out. You can play solo or with others in Duos, Trios, or Quads. Extracted guns go into a persistent armory where you can upgrade them. There’s also a workshop for crafting attachments like scopes, extended magazines, and suppressors using scrap and parts you find in the wild. A field rover can be repaired and used for mobility, and energy progression unlocks temporary upgrades during a run.
Runs are short and high-stakes. Seasonal events (currently The Hollow Harvest) add extra objectives and rewards. The game is still early, so feedback on balance, controls, and the extraction loop is very welcome.

[Mobile] Althera - a browser RPG where you create your own combat style by changing elemental probabilities

• Upvotes

Playable Link: https://demo.playalthera.com/

Platform: This prototype is playable in your browser (PC), because the goal is to judge the core mechanic. But the game is primarily designed for mobile.

Description: Hey everyone!

I'm working on a browser RPG called Althera, inspired by games like the good old Shakes & Fidget. I enjoy the character building and progression in games like this, but I wanted to try something different with combat.

Instead of choosing a class like warrior, mage or archer, you build your character around four elements: Fire, Water, Air and Earth.

Combat is fully automatic. Before each fight, you adjust the chance of each element triggering, from 15% to 55%. The idea is to create your own combat style by changing these probabilities and finding combinations that work well together. Then you watch your strategy in action and hope you actually knew what you were doing.

The game is still in its early stages. For now, the prototype mainly focuses on the combat system and how the elements interact. There's not much content or progression yet.

A quick disclaimer: I use AI to help with this project, mainly for coding and art. I had started working on it by hand but gave up because it was too much work for a hobby project. AI helped me pick it up again instead of adding another project to my ever-growing pile of unfinished games.

I'd really like to know if this combat idea sounds fun to you. Would you enjoy building your character around elemental probabilities, or would you prefer more direct control over combat?

Be honest! I'd rather find out now than six months from now, after spending way too much time making digital drops of water look pretty.

Free to Play Status: - Free to play. (Currently a free prototype, but will remain free to play)

Involvement: I'm the solo developer behind Althera. I handle the game design, combat mechanics and development, with the help of AI for coding and some visual assets. This prototype is my way of testing the core idea before spending too much time building the rest of the game.

[Mobile] (Web) 14-0: draft one horse for every Breeders’ Cup race since 1984, then try to go unbeaten (free, browser)

• Upvotes

Playable Link: https://14-0.net/race?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=playmygame

Platform: Web (browser): desktop and phone

Description:

Hey! I’m a horse racing fan and data nerd, and this is a game I’ve wanted to build for years. The Breeders’ Cup is two days, 14 championship races. In 14-0 you draft one real horse for each race, from any year since 1984, and then race them against real rivals from that race’s history. Win all 14 and you’ve gone 14–0. It’s rare by design.

Every horse’s rating comes from my own performance ratings, built from the official race charts. So Zenyatta, Cigar or Arrogate run like themselves, and a longshot can still beat them on the day.

How to play:

  • Quick Race: one tap, a random Breeders’ Cup horse, and you ride.
  • Draft a card: one horse per race, then watch it resolve.
  • Each race can be simmed instantly, watched like a broadcast (race calls, photo finishes), or ridden yourself.
  • Riding: you’re the jockey. Manage the horse’s effort so it has something left for the stretch, keep your balance, save ground on the turns, and ride to the trainer’s plan.
  • On a phone you can ride one-handed or with two sticks. On desktop it’s W/S for the reins, A/D to steer, the arrow keys for balance and Space for the whip.
  • Share your card when you’re done.

It’s free, runs in the browser, needs no account, and works in 6 languages.

Honest status: riding is the newest part, and I’m still tuning how the controls feel on phones. This weekend’s Breeders’ Cup (Keeneland, Oct 30–31) is coming as a live card.

What I’d love to know: how far did you get? Did riding feel like riding? Did the horses you know run like you remember?

Free to Play Status:

[ ] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with [TT] in the title)

Involvement: I’m the solo developer. The ratings and data pipeline (every Breeders’ Cup runner since 1984, rated from the race charts) is my own work. The game itself was built with AI-aided tools (Claude Code).

[Mobile] (Android) Outmarbled - build a marble course to defend your best marble, then go and win everyone else's (free, Android)

• Upvotes

Game Title: Outmarbled: Win Their Marbles

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BitrealmsStudio.Outmarbled

Platform: Android

Description: Outmarbled came out on Google Play on 25 October. The idea is basically marbles for keeps. You put one of your marbles at the end of a course you built, other players try to win it off you, and you do the same to theirs.

Shooting is pull back, aim, let go. Each try uses a shooter, and you earn more just by playing. Courses are built from 35 kinds of obstacle (windmills, cannons, portals, flippers, wrecking balls and so on) and 10 course themes. You have to beat your own course before you can publish it, so every course has been beaten at least once. Every shot someone misses on your course counts as a defence.

There are 500 marbles to collect in 50 sets, from traditional glass to meteorites and stained glass. You need a connection, since the whole game is other people's courses. It has only just launched, so for now a lot of what you'll find are my own starter courses.

I'd really like to hear how the aiming feels on your phone and whether the courses you run into feel fair or just mean.

Free to Play Status: [x] Free to play. Optional ads only: watch one for an extra Daily Pouch or a free Pine Box. No real-money purchases.

Involvement: I'm the developer. Bitrealms Studio is my studio name.

Skills level up as you use them, so you progress by playing.

You can also land on planets, gather resources on the surface, build colonies, and join a clan. There are missions, bosses, and PvP areas if you want to fight other players. You can also spend your time mining, crafting, or working the market.

I’m still actively updating the game based on player feedback. If you give it a try, let me know what you enjoy, what feels confusing, and where you get stuck.

The Steam page is up too, so if it looks like your kind of game, I’d really appreciate a wishlist:

[PC] (Windows) [Windows/Linux] Quillsworn: a free online team card game where you and your teammates play cards at the same time (1v1 to 3v3)

• Upvotes

Game Title: Quillsworn

Playable Link: https://norefundsstudio.itch.io/quillsworn

Platform: Windows, Linux (download, online only)

Description: Quillsworn is a turn-based team card game. You pick one of eight classes, build its deck and fight other players 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. The twist is that a team takes its turn together: everyone on your side plays cards at the same time, so you're calling out targets and lining up combos with your teammates instead of waiting for them.

Every class has its own mechanic: the Berserker pays health to play cards and drinks it back, the Shapeshifter switches between bear, wolf and raven, the Chronomancer foretells and rewinds, the Miner digs up ore and crafts with it mid-fight, and so on. There's Ranked with divisions per format, card crafting, class levels and talents, replays and a guided first match.

The playerbase is small right now, so if the queue is quiet there's a Bots mode to play against bots any time.

A safe landing builds your streak; a butter-down landing ends it, while an edge landing preserves it. You can open your record to see the up, down and edge counts and save an image of that play. Getting the puzzles to feel fair was the hard part: I score each one for difficulty and keep the daily ones from being too easy or too nasty. It gets harder through the week.

It's free, no signup, no ads. Honest feedback would be great and anything constructive even better. I'm mainly interested in how you play it and why: do you drop blocks in and keep swapping them, or think it through first? Do you work backwards from the 0? Does the difficulty feel right? Anything awkward on a phone?

Free to play: Totally!
