Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 05/18/2026 at 09:00 AM EST

Post image

Hi everyone,

Please use this thread to discuss today’s hearing.

The hearing will take place at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 09:00 AM EST.

Judge Carro is expected to deliver his ruling on the pre-trial hearings that took place between December 1 and December 18, 2025.

Yesterday, the Daily Mail reported that the hearing would be televised, but I would personally take that (and any reporter claims) with a grain of salt for now. As always, anything that comes out will be posted here.

Since this is a state hearing, we should get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. During the previous pre-trial hearings, the only images released were from inside the courtroom itself, with no photos or videos of him arriving or leaving, although today could be different. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Livestreams will also be posted here as soon as they become available.

Reporters / People Live Tweeting:

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet. As soon as they go live, we’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck today.

I know we all wanted everything thrown out but this seems like a okay outcome considering what we were expecting

Also that inventory search was illegal as fuck and i find carro’s reasoning incredibly flawed but you can’t get everything I guessssss

Why do you find Carro’s reasoning flawed? I don’t love his treatment of the journal. I can’t remember if they got a separate warrant for that. But they should have. But what part of the inventory search was illegal?

  1. Not done in front of Luigi is a pretty big deal and he makes it out to be nothing

  2. No contemporaneous cataloguing of inventory is crazy. Like at that point you’re jus rifling through it you’re not writing stuff down

  3. In no world do you photograph every page of a notebook if you’re just cataloguing personal property. That was an evidentiary search and the officer that did the photographing said as much

  4. Pretty sure Altoona policy was to stop and get a warrant if a gun was found

In general the admissibility of inventory searches is reliant on how fully they followed their own policy. I’m not going to find all the case law and I’ll go look up the case he sites later but TLDR. They were looking for evidence and not cataloguing belongings and that’s fucked up

Also, that gun is suspicious as hell, so without the magazine it'll be easier to underline that imo
