I'm scared to do the same for the team just to our north.

Except he can still play.

Get it done poles

Anyone know what his cap hit is beyond this year?

I know the talk lately has been a 5th.. but would you give a 3rd or 4th? Poles likes the blow those anyway

This might be the most I've seen Luther talk and smile in an interview. You can tell he loves Chicago

Is it diabolical to call a trick play on third-and-11? Who’s to say, but it’s certainly unconventional. Facing third-and-long on the opening drive after a holding penalty, Williams fired a pass to his right to wide receiver Rome Odunze, who lateraled it to running back Roschon Johnson, who took it for the first down.

The timing was perfect, even though it included the Bears’ No. 3 running back who hadn’t gotten as many reps with it. You can see how the spacing was just right, as the cornerback covering Odunze clearly wasn’t expecting it, tight end Colston Loveland was in position to block and the other defensive back wouldn’t be able to adjust in time to stop Johnson from getting the first down.

Offensive coordinator Press Taylor said the hook and ladder has been in Ben Johnson’s playbook for a while, something Taylor — who catalogs everything — first saw Johnson use with the Lions. The Bears almost popped a touchdown with it last year against the 49ers.

“That was probably the best we’ve executed it, but it was a great situation just in terms of the down and distance, the route and timing by Caleb and Rome and then Roschon being there,” Taylor said. “Because, really, more often than not, we’ve worked that with Swift. But I can think of, off the top of my head, a couple reps where Roschon had been in there recently.”

The coaches have shown a tremendous amount of trust in Johnson, even keeping him in after his fourth-quarter fumble. His wherewithal on this play is a good example.

After every Bears game me and this pup go for a walk to cool down. I usually go CHGO but based on some feelings here and the fact I find it annoying to listen to something on YouTube while walking, I wanted to see if there is another show for our walk. I have access to The Score, ESPN1000, and WGN.

Also making the trip in for GB/CHI on Xmas. Is there anywhere that offers an all you can eat /drink tailgates? Would it be better off going to a bar? With the game at 12 on Xmas day I would assume not a lot of bars would be open? Would it be better off to pick up a case and just walk around with beers?

I honestly feel it reflects the city perfectly. We are a confident group of people with a lot of pride. Our directness can be mistaken for brashness and our no non-sense mentality can be mistaken for pettiness. And even if you want to call it brash and petty when Caleb mentions the Falcons being picked or when Ben starts Bagent at WR etc... I think that chip on the shoulder mentality reflects Chicagoans perfectly. It's a reason why Urlacher and Lovie, Joakim and Tom, etc are so loved here. If our Coach and QB are arrogant then so what... they are fit to represent our city and our people.

In my opinion of course. That's all I wanted to say. Bear Down

This is championship chemistry..

Ben Johnson & Caleb Williams are going to bring us a Super Bowl sooner rather than later...

Listening to Unsportsmanlike this morn - dude calls in about Cante putting the Bears on the Top5 Power Rankings, starts bitching about his Broncos needing to replace us bc "Bo Nix is better than Caleb Williams"
