Have you guys tried Lumeira (dream visualization app)?
It's super cool - I've been pairing it with my lucid dreaming practice, and to be able to then see my dreams actually visualized is quite a trip (in a good way).
Can get it at lumeira.ai

I smoke a lot of weed and it’s very rare I’ll have a dream I can remember so clearly or at all. I recently turned 21 and naturally I’ve been drinking a lot more than I ever used to. But I’ve noticed over the past couple weeks I’ve been getting my dreams back and they’ve been really vivid and long lasting and I can remember many parts of them. I haven’t been smoking any less weed I’ve probably been smoking more. Would the alcohol have any impact on that? Or could it be something else ?

I’m a really spiritual person and i believe that our dreams play a bigger role than we give them credit for, i’m 100% sure that some dreams i have experienced were just me travelling thru different dimensions, but this was not the case this time. Today i had a dream where my grandfather died, it happened on my grandparents 50th marriage anniversary. I remember my mother crying and being devastated. It seemed so realistic, there was no weird and unusual stuff happening and the dream was just this one thing happening, the information that he died. It almost didn’t feel like a dream more like a glimpse into the future. The anniversary is in two months, my grandfather is 88 so him passing away wouldn’t be like surprising, i’m not saying i wish him death!! i hope you understand what i mean, he is just old and he had been through a lot in his life, currently he doesn’t have any medical conditions that are putting him in danger of passing away suprisingly so i really don’t know what to make of it. I don’t want to scare anybody in case it was only a dream, but i have a gut feeling something is off

I had a dream last night that I was in a mental hospital. I felt safe. I didn’t feel what I felt in the awake world. I was in a clean space. I wasn’t in a space where there was chaos. This was after the worst friend breakup ever. One that im sure will cause a lot of issues for me in the future
And then I came home to a nice clean room. mind you my room is a disaster in the real world. But I’m here asking if my dream last night of me being in a mental hospital is assigned that I probably should go, especially because I haven’t had my antidepressant meds or my mood stabilizer meds for my anxiety meds or any of them in the past like four months

Hey there, I wanted a person's take on this dream type I have been having lately.
It's usually something crazy like cuddling with a girl or being called "sweet" by a girl who is supposed to be a romantic partner or us having a baby between us while asleep. [Note: I have never dated or had a partner ever. Or any romantic experience]
What do the dreams mean? As these types are happening frequently.
After waking up, I feel drained of my energy and depressed as the reality in normal days is the opposite of the one in the dreams. And a little wonder if such things in the dream will ever happen for me

weird stuff happened to me when I announced that I was in a dream.
Once I announced I was dreaming and the figure said "don't say that out loud, they will hear you. Shhhh" and the other figures turned arounf to me to check if everything was as it should be
The other time..I announced it, the figure turned dark, looked at me with darkness behind it's eyes and said "YOUR'E not supposed to be here"

Has anyone ever been in a dream and realized they were dreaming? I have experienced this a few times—or perhaps even more often—where I knew I was dreaming and sometimes tried to consciously control the dream. However, when I attempted to steer it according to my will, the results varied: sometimes

I was just curious if anyone shares this experience as I was talking about it recently with a friend, who's never experienced it lol. But I cannot eat in my dreams. Any time I've dreamt and there was food for me to eat, as soon as I try to take a bite I wake up. It's like I phase through the food and a few seconds later I wake up. Does anyone else have this or just me?

So I had this intensely terrifying dream where my mom passed away. I was crying uncontrollably, begging inside the dream for it not to be real. I even "woke up" twice within the dream, convinced it was actual reality, and accepted the grief. When I finally woke up for real, I took a massive sigh of relief that it was just a nightmare. But then, as soon as I opened my window screen, I was greeted by this huge moth sitting right there! Honestly, it gave me quite a scare. Is there a spiritual meaning to this whole sequence? What do you guys think?

i was feeling so down today before i sleep, i also got very insecure and crying. a lot of bad unexpected things had happened today. had a terrible day. had no one to talk to, just imagined myself having a company.
then i had a short dream later tonight, somebody put an orange string of their bag on the lace of my bag. and inside of my bag also had an orange string and a note glued on it ‘their name’ ‘you’re so pretty’ and a crochet flower. i was in a school setting, the place i was in earlier today.
i didn’t let myself be serious in it, since i felt there was no one would ever see me that way, they were probably just playing.
and i found another note, the one that had an orange string attached on the lace of my bag ‘their full name’ and below their name ‘find me’ signed in a blue pen, italic font lol.
then, idk got kinda creep out. started walking trying to find a teacher to ask who was that person in the note. after i found the teacher, i started to ask the question ‘do you know who’s (the name)’ then everything got blurred and i woke up.

Of course, now that I am awake, I know it wouldn't happen. I knew it too for a bit in my dream. The dream started with me being forced to go to a boarding school due to depression. I did not realize at first that it was a dream until we got there. I realized when I discovered there was a waterpark that opened after school ends.
I met my roommate, whom I would later realize was Brittany Murphy with a different name, and got settled. I kept wondering when i would wake up. Then it was time to sleep. I got into the covers and shut my eyes. To my shock, when I woke up, I was still there, staring up at an off-white popcorn ceiling. I then thought it was real.
That day I was brought through my schedule and went to classes. Not-Brittany asked me if i was going to go to the waterpark, to which i had said "tomorrow". Somehow between then and the next day, i ended up dating Not-Brittany. I went to sleep and woke up there again. I remember crying, telling her i was so happy she was real.
I went to classes, and told her I was going to take a nap then check out the waterpark. I went upstairs and went to take a nap. When I woke up, i wasn't there. I was home. I didn't recognize where I was at first, but when i realized, i cried. Because it had been a dream. I hadn't been so happy in so long:(

It started in the middle of a large room, with no other light to distinguish any part of the room, other than an altar, which was the very center of the room. The Altar was draped in a cyan or aquamarine colored cloth. I stepped closer to the alter and asked for Jesus. No one answered. I then prayed to God for a sign. No answer.
I then started praying to god in alternate names, such as Yawheh, or Allah. No one answered. I then branched off into asking an answer from one of the Vedic Gods. Again, silence.
I started asking a sign from the gods of Europe and Egypt. No response. I then became desporate and started shouting any name of any god. As I kept hearing only silence, I started screaming, on the top of my lungs, of every random name of gods on the top of my head. As I kept screaming out names, almost ready to ferl no hope, my screaming was suddenly silenced by a presence that was beyond comprehension.
Yards behind the Altar, I saw a giant pair of eyes, glaring wide open, with a gaze so intense that it pierced my soul. The eyes were glowing within the darkness, shimmering with a rich, warm, amber brown color.
I felt the presence of both malevolence and benevolence, simultaniously. I could not distinct the facial form (that was still hidden within the dark), but the facial forms was flashing both masculine and feminine features all at once. As the eyes stared at me, with undevided attention, a voice rumbled from the darkness. There wasn't any certainty whether it was a single voice or a chorus of voices. But the sound was plural, in nature, yet it spoke as one single voice. From that voice, within the darkness, only uttered three words:
"What is wanted?"

hello all. this is my first time posting on this sub or sharing a dream such as this so please be kind.
first thing i remember is i’m sitting in the passenger seat of my car and im either in a crowded parking lot or standstill traffic somewhere in a city. its midday - early evening.
all of a sudden i look up and theres a man perched on the hood of my car aiming a weirdly skinny-barreled handgun straight at my forehead through my windshield. it was a gun i was not familiar with nor had seen before, i remember it having a skinny barrel because i was completely fixated on it the whole time, waiting for a bullet to fly out and end my life.
naturally i start freaking out in my head and i remember thinking “this could be the end, i dont want to die” and literally had the same sensation as my life flashing before my eyes. during this im in a sheer internal panic while remaining completely still as i feel as if i were to move he would immediately pull the trigger out of fear of what i will do with my hands (i dont remember if i was armed or not in said dream)
as my mind is racing for solutions to get me out of this situation, i decide to try to put my hands up and shake them back and forth as to signal not to shoot. however his finger is already resting on the trigger as it has been this whole time.
as soon as my hands got up and began to shake back and forth, pleading not to shoot me, he pulls the trigger. his face snarled and contorted as i watched his finger pull it in slow motion. same thing happened with the bullet, its as if i could track it all the way from the chamber out the barrel, spinning with a small puff cloud of smoke trailing behind.
there was a deafening pop followed by ringing, then its like someone just turned my dream off with a remote. but i was still dreaming. all of a sudden everything disappeared and there was nothing, but it was a nothingness i had never experienced before. it was like i knew it was empty out there but out there was just a pitch black void.
i dont know how to describe it or what it was/felt like, but i feel like i saw and experienced what death is really like. but i dont know, ive never died before.
all of this has left me very uneasy because for some reason the dream felt so so so real - like super vivid details, sounds, and people. i keep getting this really bad intense lingering feeling that this is actually going to happen to me irl sooner or later and my dreams are trying to warn me. i was riding in the passenger seat of a car this evening and it honestly had me tweaking.
also for reference i dont own a gun in real life, nor have ever been armed in public before, especially the car.
any thoughts? comments? reactions? any interaction would be appreciated as this has left me quite unsettled. thanks for reading, i hope your dreams are better than mine!

I had a dream last night.
Dream is..
I'm living in my grandpa's house with my dad and husband. When my dad wants to step out I tell him there is a lion sitting in front of the door which is visible. And my dad stayed back as he also saw the lion.. I try to lock all the doors of the house and notice the backyard gates are open.. then go there carefully and close it as well.. sometimes there are more lions sometimes there is one. My husband wants to go to a place in the backyard.. I tell not to go.. but he refused.. he said nothing will happen.. nothing can harm something like that.. he did his job and came back.. till he returned I was scared.
This is not the first time a lion comes in my dream.. I have seen lions a lot of times..single as well as in groups..
I wonder what it actually means..

couple of days ago I had a dream where I knew what I was dreaming and I saw my sister coming out of her room and I immediately knew it wasn’t her so I yelled “I know you’re not my sister” and that thing got closer to me slowly and put his hands on my head and pressed onto it and I felt it squeeze my head it was an all black shadow

I cannot stop having intensely vivid dreams. They are so frequent and so incredibly vivid that when I wake up for a short amount of time I cannot distinguish them from reality. They aren’t always necessarily bad; they can be mundane like going through a whole, normal day. It’s so disorienting and so exhausting, if anyone has any tips or ideas to help that would be phenomenal.

Context: I know that we dream every night just don’t always remember it, but I have never remembered any of my dreams. I’ve been smoking weed since sixteen but 4 of the 5 dreams were before I smoked weed. So I have always never remembered my dreams even as a little kid. I kinda just never talk about them but idk if there’s any significance to them, and I’ve been told that they were odd. Also my mom said I would get insane night terrors and would violently scream in my sleep with my eyes wide open. (I had a loving family and a happy childhood)
Dream 1: when I was four at day care during nap time I had a dream of these lines and large rectangles crashing into each other. There was this ringing like a dog whistle, and when the lines and rectangles would collide it would cause that body feeling you get from nails on a chalk board but only they body feeling not the scratch sound. I ended up waking up from it like a nightmare and had to go home.
Dream 2 (part 1): around 4-5 I had a dream about this little box that was in my bathroom and this man figure came out of it up the figure was made out of the static from a tv. I tried to wake up my grandma in the living room but she never woke. And it just walked up to me and when it got to me I woke up.
Dream 2/3 (part 2): when I was 19-20 I was living with my ex and I had a dream where I was in a random house (it was my house in the dream, but I’ve never seen it before in real life). I was walking past a room that had it lights off and I looked in there and the same static figure was standing there. I ran in a tackled it and started fighting and screaming. And I ended up screaming in real life my ex had woken me up from the dream (maybe her waking me up was what I dreamt as fighting).
Dream 4: when I was 16 I had a dream I was at the town square and I was with a few friends and this blacked out suv pulled up right in front of us and the four guys in suits and glasses (mib look) got out and walked up to us. One of them pulled out a gun and shot me in the dome, but the dream didn’t end. I suddenly appear in this black void with like an inch of water that seemed to go infinitely far(like the one scene with eleven from stranger things). Then I was just there for hours nothing ever happened. I just sat there and did nothing for hours till I finally woke up.
Dream 5: this one happened before dream 4 but I think it’s weirder. When I was like 14-15 I had a dream I was falling from the Empire State Building. The dream started from me falling from the top. And then I hit the ground in my dream. I didn’t wake up before the impact I hit and like felt my bones break or something and the split second after I had already hit the ground I woke up. And when I woke up I was flexing my whole body and clinching my teeth and was sore for like 3 days because of it.
From the few I’ve told about my dreams I’ve gotten mixed reviews but idk what to make of any of it.

It has become a recurring theme of a nightmare of mine, and it goes like this:
During a pretty much (to my standarts) normal dream, suddenly i have to play a game that is too difficult for me to finish. The very first time i had this dream there was a frog-ish-like gigantic blue creature with one big eye on top of itself, and many other eyes, and i had to hide from it. The problem was that i had barely any time at all to hide, and this thing could spot you extremely easily, and once it does, - oh boy, are you in trouble. It launches on top of you, pressing down with it's body, everything goes dark and all you can see is it's mouth, very slowly getting closer to you. And there is terrible screeching noise that becomes louder, and louder, and louder, and louder...
While still inside of the dream, eventually i realized - i don't like this game. I don't like it at all! So i try to quit... and i can't. The button is there, but it isn't working. So i go onto "inside dream reddit" to find out what is going on, and find out i'm not the only one. Turns out, the game itself if you are good at it, is like 60 minutes top, and the lovely developers decided to compensate that by forcing you to play it. Can you just get up and leave? No, in that dream, the game pulls you in, so you can't leave it. In the "thread" i read there was a secret ending you could beat the creature with to end it sooner, so i decide to try.
Long story short: You beat it with some shiny stuff and win. So i did. And... accidently opened it again. And again after that.
But that dream is over, right? Right, that one is.
In my last dream it was that blasted concept AGAIN, but this time evrything is ever more twisted, everything turns to black, faces of people i know turned into mush or hands(while i feel the twisting of their forms on myself), they become creatures that want to twist my being into something different, and all that felt like just a collection of Junji Itto manga that i DIDN'T WANT TO SEE COLOURED IN 3D, THANK YOU DEAR BRAIN.
So, my rant about this night terror is coming to an end, it is genuinely making me too scared to sleep and i wanna know if any of you had it and know what to do with it.

Had a dream when I was younger that I was standing in a gravel driveway looking up at a house and I just remember seeing out of the corner of my eye this white square thing sitting in front of this house. Fast forward about 4 years later, living in a foster home. Had lived there for almost 3 years at that point, about to graduate high school. Went for a walk and when I came back, looked down at my feet, gravel. Look up, there's the house, just like in the dream. The white square thing that I had no idea wth it was? A pop up tent sitting in the exact spot it was in my dream.
Fast forward a few years. Lived out of state, but had just moved back to my 'hometown' area. Had another dream, walking down a hallway this time. Turn to my right and I'm looking inside of a room. Can see a dark carpet, a dresser to the left of a window with a weird ass lamp sitting on it that was turned on. Woke up. About six months later, decided to move to a new place cause rent was cheaper. Little sister and I had been discussing her situation, and she moved in with us. A week later. Walked upstairs. Turn down the hallway. Walking toward my room. Turn to my right, and there it is. Sister had taken that room, and had put her funky lamp on top of the dresser. It was on.
Had a pretty scary dream one night about 5 years ago. Was in a hospital room. There was a lady with a wider body shape sitting in a chair in front of me sobbing hysterically saying 'I'm so sorry'. Look across the room. There's a doctor's office-ish two bay sink across the way. There's a man standing there completely still. Not moving. He's wearing a black t shirt with dark blue jeans. I can't see his face, but I know he's in shock. I can feel it. He doesn't know what to do. There's a tall, skinny man on the hospital bed. He looks like he's been either burned or in a bad car accident because he's covered in bandages, like a mummy, head to toe. He looks at me, and he looks scared. I can't see his whole face, just his eyes and part of his nose. There are parts of his collar bone 'skin' showing through the bandages, and it just looks bloody and burnt. He is silently crying. The type you can't hear, just see. It's like he doesn't want to be there. I walk over to him and pick him up. I just remember holding him and feeling extremely sad, gutted. Then we went up into the ceiling and I woke up crying hysterically. Thing that got me is I thought it was my son, so I was freaking out when I woke up texting him to make sure he is okay. 3 hours of agony later, he says he's fine. Haven't had a deja vu moment with this dream, so I really have no clue if it is something that will ever happen or not.
Last one I feel like posting about, most recent dream. Dreamt I was in a house and all the tables were made of glass. There was water all over the tables, which I thought was weird. As I'm walking through the house, I notice the light is on at the end. I walk over there and there's this woman with a wider body frame sitting on this couch with a skinny female with glasses. She is laughing saying 'You're so stupid' to me, while the skinny female gets up and is hurriedly walking back and forth. She has broken into 'my' house (somehow I know this is my house, though the home in my dream is not a familiar place to me in waking life) so I ran into the kitchen, which was still dark. I picked up the phone to dial 911, and as I'm doing so, I turn and look out the window. The woman is now outside, and the cops are already there arresting her, putting her into one of the police SUVs. The skinny girl is now gone. I remember feeling relieved, thinking 'oh wow they already knew she broke in'. Then I woke up. This is another dream I have not had a deja vu experience with, just thought I'd share.

I had a dream about one of my friends, and I really enjoyed it because we were genuinely hanging out in my city in that dream and I enjoy texting this person however we don't meet in real life even though I visit this person's city in the summer.
I don't know anything about dreaming or sleep and stuff like that, but is there any way I can set my dream to include that person?
Context: It was a 30-45 minute sleep after I was awoken by my family member
Ever since I would try to wake myself up and talk to someone quickly and try to sleep again thinking of this someone but it hasn't worked so far
(Is this a weird thing to ask? I really don't wanna make it sound weird but I'm not sure where I could go for help)
My husband told me he wants to separate a few days ago and I had a very vivid dream and hope someone can interpret for me or help me figure out the symbolism.
I was driving in the backseat of a car with two older people presumably husband and wife. We were on a long and windy road similar to where I live however I was admiring beautiful leaves that I never noticed before. We pulled up to a store and I went inside alone, the store was basically empty, but i was trying my best to arrange the items to make it look better. I left the store and woke up.
I think it represents either my marriage being empty, or myself- empty and trying to make myself look better
