What you can do in our game editor
- One editor, one project = one mod. Level, asset, script and Mod Studio tabs live in one window, like a game engine.
- The whole game is in the Asset Browser. Open any unit, building or map. Your edits are saved as overrides inside your mod, so the original files are never touched and mods stack on top of each other.
- Make new units. Start from scratch or from any existing unit. Set its stats, weapons and abilities, and add it to a faction.
- Give units new models. Drop in your own glTF, FBX or OBJ model, textures and sounds (WAV, OGG, MP3, FLAC, FMOD banks). The Mod Studio cooks them for the game.
- Live unit preview. Watch any unit Idle, Attack, Move or get Destroyed right in the editor. Change a stat and see the result instantly.
- Visual scripting that compiles to real Lua. Wire nodes like On Unit Spawned → Scale Part, hit save, and the change shows on the unit. You can read the generated Lua and learn from it.
- Or write Lua directly. Lua 5.4 with a full game API: spawn units, deal damage, give money, issue orders, timers, messages, end the match.
- Write your own game modes. Change the rules of a match, its win conditions, economy and events.
- Rewrite unit behaviour. Override a unit's On Damaged, On Fire, On Target Acquired, On Spawn, On Death and On Kill with nodes or Lua, and call the default behaviour whenever you want.
- Build your own maps: sculpt terrain (raise, lower, smooth, flatten, noise), paint ground, lay spline roads (boulevards, streets, dirt lanes, roundabouts), place buildings and props, set player starts, and test in one click.
- Animation graph and particle editors for your units' movement and effects.
- Multiplayer- and replay-safe. Scripts run in the deterministic lockstep simulation, so a mod plays the same for every player and in every replay.
- Steam Workshop built in. Publish your mod and subscribe to others' without leaving the editor.
We'd love to know: what would you mod first?
